Tiny Linux Kernel Patch Delivers Huge Speed Boost
very interesting article. Would/could this have any impact on the Android kernels we have access to? That is, can it somehow be worked into the Android OS?

Link or it didn't happen.
What advantages did it prove/show, and can it be beneficial for all Android device besides the nexus 1?
I see that a lot of other phones started the developing for kernel 3.4 support. Are there any news for i9003 aswel?? Will this kernel be supported soon??

Nope. Samsung didn't support this device even for kernel 3.x. So, no question or 3.4 kernel.
You'd better go and check to android devel section and see RaymanFx 4.4.2 thread using 3.4 kernel...

Well, it supports kernel 3.0.
Just so you know Galaxy S Plus I9001 has got Kernel 3.4.x already.

Just so you know Galaxy Nexus hasn't. Texas Instruments hasn't released a 3.4 Kernel yet and they've abandoned it. So without their kernel sources we can't make one for us either. Or at least not at the moment, not now. 3.0.8 Kernel is almost stable for device. Be happy with it.
Galaxy S Plus does because they get their kernel sources from other devices having Qualcomm processor and therefore porting it for their device is much easier. Hope you get me now.

Im not sure its your fault. I get the same bootloops on faux's ult. kernel. Which doesn't make sense because his normal one works fine.

Everyone trying this kernel, can you post in the following manner:
Model (eg.xt1053)
CDMA/GSM
Boot.img of the model
Remember:This kernel is only for stock ROMs. This will not work on aosp/cm11 based ROMs.

Does the kernel have OC till 2.1 ?? You have mentioned in your features list.
It makes me so sad that CDMA gets no love.
Thanks for your work all the same!

Was just wandering why google didn't update the kernel on nexus 5?
Nexus 9 and 6 has 3.10 kernel so why not us too?

Wich are the updates on it?
The N5 wouldn't benefit from a kernel update at all. So a better question would be "why bother updating the kernel for nothing?"
Google doesn't bump kernel versions, the N7 is using 3.1 on L
@Rusty! The only time they did it was on nexus s from gb to ics
Tickless kernel can for sure improve battery life. Not sure why Google didn't give us 3.10

At least any one know if any dev is working on bringing us linux kernel 3.10?
I remember someone saying on the nexus 4 forum that qualcomm has official support on hardware from 800 and up for linux kernel 3.10!
Any one has some more info on that?
Its not going to happen. There is no point.
The only difference to a user would be a higher visual version number (which apparently makes all the difference to them lol..).

Apparently so.
I'm using official 6.0.1 rom with root. But it often hang after boot sound (HTC ONE logo). Any unofficial kernel or any idea to solve this problem? Thanks.
No unofficial kernel that I'm aware of, only the stock one I'm pretty sure
