Accessibility Problems - NXT-AL10

I have had my Mate 8 for about a week now. My problem is that everytime I change a setting in the Accessibility settings to on, it will switch back to off when I leave the setting. I have tried everything that I know how to do to correct this but have not been successful! Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am on T-Mobile with great signal and very clear conversations.

Same boat. I don't know if this is a fix but it's working for now.
I have Torchie, the flashlight app installed. In the Torchie app, turn on "Torchie functionality" (which would lead you to Accessibility settings). I turned it on, and without exiting that setting's page, I locked the screen and used the volume button shortcut. Then unlock the phone and exit settings. I checked back and it stayed "on".

Confused with volume button shortcut statement. Also, have you been able to remove the Chinese language from your phone, unless of course you use it?

Volume button shortcut is how the Torchie app functions. Pressing both volume buttons to turn on or off the flashlight.
Only Chinese I see is the yellow page within dialer. I don't have any issue leaving it there. Just not going to that tab.
Anyway, Pebble watch's accessibility has been turned on and it stayed on after reboot, while others wouldn't, including Torchie. I figured this must be permission related. Coming from Note3 with Android 5.0 this whole permission thing feels like moving from XP to Vista.

Ok, I got it. Protected apps is what's causing the accessibility to turn off. Keep the app you want to have accessibility on whitelisted in the protected apps.

hi there. i have same problem. so you meant i can't protect app if i wanna keep accessibilty on?im using app "Adaptive Rotation Lock" and it requir me to enable accessibility. but sometime it turn off without reason.

i have a mate 8 Chinese language problem, which is also responsible for many other features in the phone, so can anyone help me fix this ? I've tried in the settings but doesn't work in all.

Doesn't work device has a rabid fixation with turning accessibility off

How do you lock the app in recent app view? I am having problems with 'universal copy, omni swipe, chromer, smart applock' having their accessibility reset on a reboot or clearing of all open apps. This has become a rather annoying "feature" of the mate 8. Any help or guidance into what might be causing this behavior would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you this phone has so many little "hidden" tricks it is nice to learn something new. Appreciate your help, I tried it and it works as described.

I'm having the exact same problem with my huawei p9 for apps such as fingerprint gestures, universal copy and many more! Any suggestions would be great

Install SELinuxModeChanger app and set SELinux Mode to "Permissive".

Mate 8 don't work after unbrick

Hi guys !
At first I apologize for my English, I am French and i have a big problem :
First of all i was on this firmware : NXT-DL something before i want to install Android 7.0 Nougat.
I installed Android 7.0 Nougat with TWRP (NXT-L09C25B501CUSTC25D001) and decided to unistall because so many bugs.
When I tried to recovery my Mate 8 with a other ROM, here is the kind of message that I had during the procedure of installation : Failed to mount /cust (same message when i tried to wipe all)
After that (tried to wipe) the mate 8 started in an infinite load, I thought the WIPE works but no ROM for boot and same message when i tried to install the old ROM.
I search on internet for this : Failed to mount /cust And I understood that I had at least softbrick the phone or brick so i used DCPhoenix_v14 with the good ROM for unbrick and all the process was good.
A the end of the process, I tried to reboot the phone but nothing. I thought that the battery was dead because the LED shone 5 times green and 1 red time and that during several seconds and stops then so i let the Mate 8 charged 16 hours ~ something like that and when i tried to boot again, I saw the pink logo Chinese with a very lowluminosity (really very low) I needed the daylight to see the logo.
I tried to boot on fastboot, impossible, locked on the pink logo. Then i retire the SD card from his slot and here i can boot in fastboot (with the green robot and "phone unlocked") but i cant do anything.
I know my problem is big and maybe you guys dont know how to help me but i try and i hope we can do someting qui the fastboot mode.
PS : I tried to use SRKTool for many things when the Mate 8 is on fastboot mode, nothing works
PS2 : When i boot in fastboot mode, the led do the same thing when i was the pink logo

Did you try to flash another firmware with dc Phoenix?
Seems a partition is missing.

Now i cant because he dont see the device except if you mean something else ? When you said flash another firmware you mean you take a .app file with recovery selection and then update ?

I mean fastboot mode with this tool dc Phoenix.

The problem is when i try to falsh a firmware, he said he dont see a device on fastboot mode while the mate 8 is on fastboot mode

Did you check in your computer device manager if you see the device? Maybe you have drivers problem.
Try with another pc.

Before i brick my phone, i didnt have any problems and i haved the good drivers (I did before some comamnds with adb and used skrtool)
I already try do install HiSuite with another PC, Windows didn't detect my phone but i didn't check the devuce manager but I don't think it's gonna work
PS : I tried at the moment and my other PC don't find my mate 8

Yeah i send a mail at Amazon for the repair, the phone is pretty recent. I'm so disappointed ... I thought with the fastboot i can do something

mate 8 nxt-dl00 downgrade from 7.0 and twrp custom recovery to stock 6.0 help

i upgraded it to 7.0 via twrp custom recovery but some features are not working properly and some time touch also dont work. now i want to roll back it to stock official marshmallow 6.0 but i am not understanding how to do it.

Downloaded the files, Root the phone and installed the TWRP but I could not get the Gapps to work with both Google Installer and recovery. Any suggestions on how to make Google Apps work?

but twrp gapps.zip flash problem ( problem system folder space low )
now you copy your OS version google gapps folders (4 folder )
copy boot/system/priv-app
and press folders and select
right up corner 3 dot
permisions press
enter octal "0755"
and click 2 check box area.
say yes
and reboot.
enjoy it.

You can install the pico version of gapps as it fits in the system partition but for Android 9 you need to mount system_root.

I've selected the backup and after the installation my apps and data were still the same.
I' ve only lost the root and had to reinstall the play store.

i am having the same problem. not fixed ı try other android device sync after bluetooth sending my contracts.

I can Confirm this.
I just did it on a Mate 30 pro from China just now with the help of this guide below:

It doesn't matter if you get an Exclamation (!) when you open the GMS app., Just proceed with the installation of the Google Apps in the package.
Some Notes:
1. After installation, reboot the device (the CHECKING INFO screen will just loop and nothing will happen if you don't reboot)
2. Go to Settings>accounts and add the Google account
3. Open Gmail and Appstore as usual and your account will be there.
4G and GSM signals are working fine.
I have downloaded and install apps from the Playstore and everything is working fine without any hiccups.
Cons;
Sometimes the Appstore will close but re-opening it again will take you where it close. (maybe its a different case for others)
Notes on the instruction video:
Instead of using an SDcard I have used an OTG USB cable and saved the backup there. (because I dont have an SD card when I do the procedure)

Hi. I have a question : After successful completion of the Goggle services installation, can I use Phoneclone in order to transfer the entire contents from my Mate 20 pro running under Emui 10 ? I.e. I wish to lake the following : (1) upon reception of my Late 30 pro, installation if the Goggle services and once done (2) use Phoneclone without any danger to brick mu phone. Thanks
