P20 failed to root TRWP unable to mount /system

Hello community,
sorry in advance for bad english, i'm from France
I bought yesterday my P20 ( awesome ) and try to root few hours after
i successfully unblock tthe bootloader with code and flash ramdisk with an Magisk image
i reboot to flashboot and flash recovery ramdisk with TWRP P20_01 image
when i reboot to recovery, TRWP didn't get allowed to make change
I have the error "unable to mount /system"
i flashed back to stock via erecovery and try again, same result
i convert system partion to exfat and after ext4 but when i reboot i got TRWP logo loop: only solution i found was to flash again to stock recovery and flashed again to TRWP
but no change, still the unable to mount error on TRWP
also no root works when i do a normal boot
what i did wrong ?

non pas du tout, je suis passé par la ligne de commande: fastboot flash recovery, etc
ça a l'air bien cet outil mais je ne vois pas le P20 dans les appareils compatibles

Je ne suis pas sûr d'avoir bien compris ..
Il faut activer le mode developpeur et cocher USB debugging, check sur le tool , reboot bootloader puis flasher le recovery

Ok je test ce soir merci

J'ai testé l'outil TOOL ALL IN ONE, c'est bien pratique mais ca ne fait que reprendre les commandes fastboot. Malheureusement ça n'a rien changé
Après quelques heures d'essais et réflexion j'ai réussi à rooter:
Avec toutes les partitions version stock:
Installation de magisk 5.7.0 via apk, choix de la version beta 16.4, générer une image boot, puis redémarrer et installation via fastboot flash ramdisk patched_image.img
Et voilà le root fonctionne
Installation de TRWP ( image disque TRWP P20_01 ) via fastboot flash recovry_ramdisk -> TRWP ne vois pas la partition sdcard, pour lui c'est encrypter
Si je formate /sdcard, ok il la voit mais toujours l'erreur /system busy donc impossible de flasher un zip
Je vais me contenter du root, c'est le plus important pour moi
J'attends une version plus stable de TRWP

Every setup poses a problem. I need to have the watch to know how to overcome problems. I do not have Zeblaze Thor 5 pro. So I can't say anything for sure. Share the stock rom please. Your watch can be hard brick. What solutions have you tried?

no no the watch is working fine except there isn't a patched img of boot i found , i got the stock rom and everything , installed magisk on the watch tried to patch the boot img but i couldn't because the file manager will not detect any file in img format.. so i was kind of stuck how to find a patched boot img to flash

Use your phone to patch boot.img. You do not need to use your watch for this process. After getting the patched boot.img install it on your watch with fastboot. If you still have problems, upload the boot.img file. I will not patch the boot.img file for you.

Çok teşekkür ederim. Aklımda takılan birkaç ufak soru işareti var. Birisi şarjı tabii ki de. Normal kullanımda 2 gün dayanıyorsa çok iyi. Bir diğeri de yağmurlu havada vs. su geçiriyor mu yoksa sadece duş ve yüzme gibi durumlarda mı sıkıntı yaratır?
Google Play'den indirilen uygulamalarda hiç sıkıntı yaşadığınız oldu mu ve titiz bir kullanımda bu saat tahmini kaç sene götürür?
Biraz çok soru sordum kusura bakmayın, saati alma arifesindeyim de. Son olarak da Thor 6'yı önerir misiniz yoksa belirttiğiniz sıkıntılardan dolayı bunu alma Thor 7'yi bekle mi dersiniz?

Yamurlu havalarda su geçirir mi bilemem, hiç denemedim. Fakat saatin alt kapağını sökünce alt kapakta jonta olduğunu gördüm. Google play uygulamarı ile ilgili bir sıkıntı yaşamadım. Fakat dairesel ekran yerine kare ekran seçince, ekrana sığaması gereken menü tam tersi bir şekilde ekrana sıçmadı. Bu da nadiren oldu. Bu saatin 2-3 yıl götüreceğini düşünüyorum. Thor 7 çıksa mevcut sıkıntıları giderilmiş bir şekilde mi çıkar bilemeyiz.

tbh i was using it for quiet months , found out it’s a good way to use it instead of a second android phone bcz after all i love open sources systemes not like ios that is too closed even with jealbreak, but in some cases i think it’s better to have an actual android phone , this watch need a moded soft , may be hovac os ported to it would be great

Whenever i hit the second command, the command prompts as waiting device for too long. Is there any video tutorial regarding this.. I searched on youtube but could not find it. And also got confused on the third command because i am a noobie..please help

thanks to your post. I have flashed zeblaze thor 6 stock rom using spflash tool. After this flashed vbmetadisabled.img and magisk patched boot.img using bugjaeggar...successfully rooted zeblaze thor 6 watching various tutorials..still in confusion regarding how i did.

How To Guide [ROOT]ing Xiaomi 12 with Magisk

1. First unlock your bootloader. This thread does not cover this. I suggest you do not try to tamper with the 1week~ time gate you will encounter else it may get longer should you fail.
2. Enable Developer mode and adb from Developer settings again.
3. Download the appropriate Fastboot files for your device. See the About section in your phone's settings to know what you are currently running.
4. Download latest Magisk-vXX.Y.apk and install it on your device. Magisk developer only provides files from Github, do not download it from anywhere else.
5. Extract(Install 7-zip if needed) the fastboot .tgz archive and copy the boot.img from it to your phone's sdcard through adb (or other means):

6. Open up Magisk on your phone, press Install and use the patch option to navigate to the boot.img you just copied. Select that, next next next.
7. Read the output to see where the patched boot.img got saved. Pull that.

8. Reboot phone to fastbootD (rebooting to fastboot (via adb reboot bootloader) should also be fine).

9. Flash the modified boot image to both A and B partitions

10. Say your prayers and reboot, your device should now have functional root with Magisk

was anyone able to install viper 4 android in xiaomi 12 or xiaomi 12 pro? it aways ask me to install driver when i open the apk. im using v4a in poco f2 pro with android 12/miui 13 without issues

If you are on a custom ROM, for example LOS 19.1 with LOS recovery (and vendor_boot, dtbo and recovery), following step necessary:
fastboot flash --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta vbmeta.img
Otherwise LOS may not boot, after flashing the patched boot.img.
Happened here yesterday!

Selinux is still permissive, can't receive Sms, D2W doesn't work. Will be solved soon.i guess. The rest is fine

Just search for Xiaomi 12 official on TG. SMS issues seem to solved, D2W works as well.

Can't patch the boot.img of my xiaomi 12 Pro in magisk, shows me an Error.
- Unable to unpack Boot Image
- Installation Failed

i have a xiaomi 12 miui 13.0.18.0(SLCEUXM) android version 12 SKQ1.211006.001 security 2022-05-01
i have unlocked with official software and rooted with magisk 25.1, the root passed without error.
when i check with root checker i have congrats the device is rooted.
but i think it's a partial root, because impossible to change permissions on files on phone storage and the copy/paste files to /system/xbin/ in "root explorer" "ES explorer" "root browser pro" say same thing PERMISSION DENIED (all this soft are checked ON superUser in magisk).
i have change name of magisk and activate Zygisk.
i have try with adb and adb shell to copy/paste and the result is "read only files"
can you help me?

hi, what difference with this differents fastboot?
the blue one appear with the command "adb reboot fastboot" on platform-tools
and the orange one is with vol- + power
