Flashing custom rom will affect my app storage partion or not - Micromax A106 Unite 2

Sir ,
I've flashed 2.5 gb app storage using sp flash tool in my a106 stock kitkat. Now if i will flash any custom rom using trwp recovery, the app storage will remain same or it will be changed to default(0.89gb) ??

"No, app storage will not change."
Usually , system repartition do not occur on installing new rom(same or other) b'coz rom developer do not put flash files for system partitioning in rom.
I've done it plenty of times..... feel free.

Nope!
The answer is NO!
Don't worry at all ! Nothing is going to change and you will be just fine!

I had this prob yesterdqy,,
You need to flash the original stock rom before you can flash another rom..
Flash the "S5670XXKPI" stock with ODIN,, after that, your SGFit will be fine... You can flash other rom qfter you flash the original rom..
Good Luck!..

I installed stock ROM S5670XWKTI. After, I installed CWM. Via CWM I can install customize ROM, but I do not want a custom ROM than the stock ROM. All custom ROM have bugs. For me the most stable stock ROM. For example. for me on the CWM not work mount / system, cash, etc.
Yesterday I tried on stock ROM install 14 toggles Galaxy Fit , but before that the CWM has to go to mount / system that does not work for me.
You cant mount system via cwm on stock rom because to mount system, it must be ext4 witch is not in stock rom.
Sent from my GT-S5670 using Tapatalk
Dude, the CWM by Tj style is for the ext4 system... and the stock rom is RFS..
You should flash the CWM by Vish coz it support the RFS system , not the Tj style vers..
Cmiiw..

you guys CAN install CWM v5 by tj_style in stock ROM, but it CANNOT backup stock ROM wich is RFS, if u on stock ROM and then install cwm v5 via odin and u can directly flash custom ROM via CWM

[Q] Questions regarding Flashing nonflashable stock ROMs

Hi guys,
I am pretty new to this android arena, still manage to learn few basic things, like rooting, flashing custom ROMs, updating CWM etc. I have MMX Canvas HD A116 and 2 days back MMX has released v4.2.1 for Canvas HD. Though I have also found flashable ROM of v4.2.1 but I have been thinking little differently.
1. Can we flash nonflashable ROM without recovery.img just to save our CWM means just deselect the recovery.img after loading scatter file i.e. MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc
OR
Can we use CWM v6.0.3.0.img instead of recovery.img of stock ROM so that CWM will get flashed along with the ROM?
Is it safe to do it this way or should we stick to the traditional method of first flashing it normally that is first flash the stock ROM using SP Flash Tool and then flash the Recovery image of v6.0.3.0?

Please stick on to the stock recovery while flashing. Afterwards u can flash the cwm u want!! I prefer ur second option, coz there are chances u can be stuck at bootloop!

Nope!! You got it in the wrong way. I meant to flash the cwm seperately! After installing ur firmware
And if u can possibly select seperate files while flashing through the sp flash tool, u can select cwm recovery instead. Don't know much on sp flash tool

One user tried my way of flashing i.e. unchecking the recovery.img and it did work, his CWM recovery is still intact. I believe flashing my way is safe, if something goes wrong, your CWM Recovery would still be intact and we can flash another ROM using CWM.

Low Internal Storage Problem

hello frnds and experts plz help me I have recently rooted my phone and I'm created two partitions using minitool to increase the internal storage also installed link2sd on my phone first time it's asked for 2nd partition select I chosen "fat32"(i'm in stock Rom so it's only supports fat32).
after that I'm restarted the phone everything goes ok but when I try to link the apps to SD card it's giving me an error like"install..failed...insufficient storage" but my 2nd partition has 1gb free memory it's showing in "storage info".
and I'm unable to link apps to sd card. I'm also done via recovery mode but it's created an ext2 partition and my phone don't support this(I'm using jaggyjags cmw recovery) so plz help me to solve this problem...
I noticed my recovery supports only ext2,3,4. at the sametime my phone support fat32 only.
I'm on stock Rom and also plz don't suggest me to use custom Rom , I don't want use that now. tell me which recovery supports fat32 as 2nd partition.
sorry for my bad English and lengthy matter.....!

None..all recoveries support ext partition not fat32, you should flash stock based roms because those roms support ext partition & are already configured that way so you won't need to worry about internal memory if you partition your sdcard right way & flash one of those roms..ateeqrom,jaggyrom,nextgen are stock based roms, flash.

stock kernel does not support ext partition..you can reset your rooted htc thru recovery..bro use stock based custom roms..they are 100% stable & same as stock rom with additional features. Just give it a try.

thanks for the rply but I have few more doubts.
Yeah I know that stock kernel don't support ext partitions also I created fat32 but apps not moving there as I said showing error like "insufficient storage".
I'm using jagyys cmw recovery v5 is it safe to factory reset via recovery mode? will I don't get into the deep boot loop na? I'm a bit scared about this...
planning to flash a stock based Rom but before this I want to change the kernel to see the 2nd partition thing work or not, if it's not work I will flash jaggyjags Rom .

Guys problem with my handset
I purchased my set on 15 Aug.
It was pre-loaded with Build_Q3000_S011_25022014
I Rooted the phone and installed the Custom recovery also, was working fine.
But, I want to increase the internal storage so I patched the storage
After then I was going to recovery (for wipe data, cache, emmc etc.) but recovery is not coming up, just Xolo logo came and disappeared, nothing further
I tried CWM, CTR & TWRP, all, but in vein ...
And if I revert back to Stock recovery then it's going in stock recovery, but there I can't flash any ROM or update error came "installation aborted"
Then I flashed my phone with Build_XOLO_Q3000_S003_15102013
Same position .... no recovery is working ...
Even I flashed KitKat ROM also but still Custom recovery not working
Can anyone help me ?
