Messed up VZW M8 partitions by flashing wrong firmware - Verizon HTC One (M8)

I was trying to install Skydragon and flashed one of the firmwares that was required by it - and in the process have royally messed up the emmc partitions - especially the one for modem. Refuses to recognize any SIM card. Is there anyway these paritions can be restored for a normal RUU update? Would anyone have a dump for VZW M8 emmc? I could use QPST toolset to restore. Many thanks!

I got this sorted out - based on dottat's suggestion. Flashed signed firmware and did a factory reset using stock recovery.

[Q] Flashing different firmware on SC-03D[Japan NTT Docomo Galaxy SII LTE]

I am currently running ICS 4.0.4*official firmware* on my SC-03D[Japan NTT Docomo Galaxy S II LTE], a Japanese version of the Samsung GT-I9210 ~Galaxy S II LTE, it's currently unlocked(using Z3X) and I am planning to flash a jelly bean ROM ----- so here are the questions that bugs me:
~Can i flash GT-I9210 jelly bean(4.1.2) ROM from sweden? One Ive seen in samsungis.com
~Do flashing this ROM will keep my device unlocked?
Note: It's an official *.tar file, trying to flash with Odin.
I can't flashed because I have this worry that it might cause my device to be bricked.
Sc-03d cm11
Kinda late reply but oh well. Better late than never.

I don't know. You could probably flash it if the partition layout on that phone is the same as the SC-03D.

If by unlocked you mean SIM free then yes. It should remain sim free.

Unless you pull the cable while flashing or unless you flash some images from another device, then your device shouldn't brick. Luckily Samsung phones have the download mode which lets you recover from errors.
Instead of doing all that just flash CM11. Flash HomuHomu's CWM Recovery using ODIN/Heimdall, then use CWM to flash the CM11 and SuperSU zip's.

[GUIDE] Sim Unlock Canadian Galaxy S4 i337m 4.3 and 4.4.2

I have looked everywhere and collected information along the way. Yet I haven't found a guide that shows Canadian S4 owners how to sim unlock their phones. The phone I have is still at android 4.3 MK6 but with the KNOX fuse already tripped. So this procedure will trip the fuse but I think there is a workaround that can sim unlock without tripping the fuse.
Jelly Bean 4.3
Here's what I did to unlock the phone:
1. Downgrade the firmware to MDJ using ODIN. (This will trip the KNOX fuse. If you don't want it tripped, I have seen others who have downgraded only the modem.bin where the hidden menu still works.)
2. Boot directly into recovery (Vol UP + HOME + Power) and do a factory reset before booting into the system. If you don't do this, the system won't boot.
3. Use *#9090# to access the hidden menu, see this thread. I found that trying to sim unlock using this hidden menu method didn't work for my phone. This was also confirmed by another Canadian S4 user.
4. So I went on to root MDJ using saferoot as the next step requires root access. I think most Canadian S4 users are referred to the CF-Auto-Root.
5. Install and run RegionLockAway.
6. Reboot phone with other sim to verify lock is removed.
7. Go into hidden menu to renable PERSO SHA256.
8. Use ODIN to restore MK6.
KitKat 4.4.2
I found another Canadian user at version 4.4.2 commenting the RegionLockAway didn't work in that version so you will have to downgrade to make it work. There's a thread over on the TMobile Galaxy S4 section that mentions downgrading just the modem.bin from 4.4.2 to a lower version where the hidden menu still works. Details of how to extract the modem files directly from the firmware are shown in that thread. For Canadian i337m users, I would suggest downgrading to 4.2.2 MDJ modem.bin. Then root and run RegionLockAway to unlock the phone. Return the modem back to the current 4.4.2 when everything is done. This approach seems to work for TMobile S4 users and it doesn't trip the KNOX fuse. I have never tried this so try at your own risk.
what about the normal ATT s4?

This thread was created for the i337m Canadian S4. There's other threads that discuss methods of sim unlocking the ATT S4. Here's one of them.
I just rooted my Samsung Galaxy S4 (I337m) phone using the CF-Auto-Root method (for Canadian models only) by Chainfire. And then installed and ran the regionlockaway.
Worked like a charm. Now I have an unlocked S4. I was on Bell. Tested it on Virgin simcard, it works

Bell & Virgin are the same network
So is Telus and Koodo , Rogers and Fido
Try with TELUS or Rogers SIM in your phone
I had a locked i337m from Telus that I unlocked using the regionlockaway method and it worked for me using a bell sim.

Regionlockaway doesn't work in 4.4.2. You have to downgrade to 4.2 for it to work.
k thanks

Can we use a custom ROM 4.4.2 instead, like Maple Leaf (GE)? Or we have to stick with a stock rom 4.2.2 or custom rom at 4.2.2?
Also once regionlockaway done, is the unlock will work forever with any roms at any version?
I'm pretty new with this process...
Thank you again,

As far as I know, regionlockaway works in 4.2.2 modem. You don't have to have the entire rom in that version, just the modem file. So if your rom uses the 4.2.2 modem then it should work. Once unlocked it should stick.

Run Region LockAway from your phone after it has booted up, doesn't work from CWM or Terminal as far as I know. I have the SGH-I337m Canada Fido and was using 4.2.2 MDJ modem and it is now unlocked.. Then I flashed back to 4.4.2 Stock KitKat and all is well again and unlock does stick.

How to update an Verizon one M8

Hi all
I have a verizon one m8 which runs stock 4.4.2 it is rooted, s-offed by sunshine and has TWRP recovery.
The LTE bands are open but when there is an available LTE network there are some network problems and many disconnections occur. (mainly when entering the LTE area)
I tried some various fixes but nothing worked so I want to update to a customized lollipop firmware.
I did search a -lot but didn't find what are the steps to update.
Can anyone guide or direct me please?
Huge Thanks
Parnuk
If you are just looking to update the firmware here is a link for you. If I were you I would consider a newer ROM to go along with the new firmware.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2723159
thanks!
Some more questions please :
Can my current Rom run with this newer firmware?
Will it still be rooted?
What are the chances to get bricked
To get a newer Rom, should I wipe and then install it from twrp after the firmware update?
last one: this all has nothing to do with the recovery, right?
Sorry for the nooobity, it's all so different comparing to my old SGS

Great, the latest twrp didn't work on my current firmware.

You can but the chances of something going wrong are higher. Flash TWRP with fastboot, then firmware with fastboot, then ROM with TWRP is your best bet.

No radio or service what so ever....

Hello everyone. So here's my problem, i was flashing the android marshmallow rom that was just ported over to our lovely phone. I got it to work, it booted, ran smooth the only problem was i had no service at all. i still have my baseloader and imei but my service state says radio off. i did do a backup of my efs before i flashed marshmallow but it didnt work. i just reflashed it to Oxygen os and it still says radio off. ive tired flashing modems but i dont exactly know which one to flash. ive tried flashing other roms but to no avail. i really need my phone so any help would be greatly appreciated
Did you try moving to older versions of the OS.
Try doing following
1. Install any Android 5.1.1 firmware. This should restore the Radio
2. Install any suitable radio/modem explicitly
Let us know if it helps. Best of luck dude

I have to fresh install the ROM on my OPO because I got it bricked so I followed this guide now my radio still doesn't work and the phone is constantly rebooting. The issues came out just like @agentxur did
Considering that you still have your baseband and IMEI (You're Lucky ), you can just flash 44S Modem via Fastboot or full CM12.1 Firmware. I will leave out a link for 44S Modem down.
44S Modem: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95784891001607675
PS: Flash it through FASTBOOT only!!! Else won't work
I hope the method pointed out by Sanjiv Kumar helped you. Whatever your feedback let the members know.

I just recently installed Linux on my laptop so I don't have fastboot right now but I actually read somewhere that twrp 2.8.7.0 (which I was using with multirom) won't flash modems or radios correctly so I reflashed 2.8.6.0 with rasher app and it worked. Thanks tho

Rom for Verizon Unlocked M8?

I have a verizon unlocked M8 with 4.4.4 and sense 6.0. Its unlocked and S-Off too but my issue is that whenever i flash international rom it just doesn't boot up nd goes to fastboot again nd again. So i tried Verizon roms from this forum. I tried Nusenseven rom and the device booted up but after that it fails to recognize my indian sim and kept on askin for verizon sim.
So currently i am back on my kitkat and sense 6 backup. Can anybody please suggest me a Android 6.0 rom which can work on my device without locking it.
Thanks in advance.
