Tinted Status Bar - How To Get Complete Transparency? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note5

How can I get rid of that horrible tint or shadow on my status bar? I hate it and it doesn't go well with my custom wallpapers I make. I want something completely transparent. Nothing, no shadow, no tint, nothing but clear and transparent. How can I achieve this? I'm on Nova Launcher Prime (already have "transparent status bar" option chosen, there's still a shadow) running @rmarinella N5 Express V5 Preview.
Thanks.

I notice that when using the stock wallpaper I see no shadow but only when I use my own custom wallpaper it created this gradient shadow coming drown from the top of the status bar. Weird. I'm still trying to figure this out.
I just tried snapping a screen shot of the stock wallpaper (no shadow) and use that as my wallpaper and the shadow appears. If this bull**** is baked into the OS how can I override it?

MiUi Themes

There may have been a post that was similar, but it's shot dead, kind of (I consider November a long time ago).
I use a mix of Timeline Blue (for app themes) and the framework is Black Ice (what most people probably use):
Naked Simplicity (bottom icons) Pulse Widgets and the Music Player after Timeline Blue themes it:

Fineline Blue is the only one I could find to theme the Helper. Fineline Orange is an option too.

Cyanogenmod 11 Cutting Off Status Bar Icons

I installed CM 11 on my device a few days ago, I noticed that the status bar is a few pixels short for the icons in it. After opening any apps the icons are no longer cut off. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Change the wallpaper. Fixed it for me. The status bar will go transparent and wont cut off the icons anymore.
I was gonna say, first thing i noticed that your status bar wasn't transparent so obviously you did some mod somewhere or some app is causing that?
Shouldn't be the wallpaper as mine is transparent using the same CM11 wallpaper.
I'm experiencing the same issue as well. I don't have any mods running in the background as I did a factory reset before flashing to this ROM. I do have a workaround using XblastTools but it doesn't look as nice.
Same issue here, there are no solutions out there?

Dont my assignment already searches around here in XDA and with the help of our friend google, I cant seem to find a solution yet
which drawables(?) xml (?) smali(?) would I replace or edit in per apps? just need some guides and I'll do the rest
and Oh lasty where in SystemUI would change background of status bar expanded (done all the way to editing some stuffs)
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE
rest assured you will be credited for the help after I finish my custom rom

[REQ] S7 Marshmallow Gallery on Nougat / Modded Nougat black background

Hello to everyone!
While I like some things about the Nougat update, I really dislike the interface update that they did on the Gallery app. Why on Earth would you make the background of a photo WHITE ?(that is, the part of the screen not actually occupied by the photo) Sure, I get it, maybe it is to be able to see the icons which are black, but in the Marshmallow gallery app, you had white icons with their background being transparent. And the picture background was black.
Now, in Nougat, it's sh!t, honestly. Distracting. Sure, you can tap once and the white background disappears, being replaced with the black one, but having to do an extra tap just to see my photo they way I want it to is really dumb.
I asked Samsung if they could change it, still awaiting the answer.
However, just in case they don't give me the option to change the background, I asked here.
Thank you in advance.
P.s. using a black theme does not work. It's the same.

Fix for invisible buttons in navigation bar running Marshmallow (6.01) on Sony Xperia Z3 Compact Tablet

Since in Gmail and some other apps the buttons barely show under a white background (somehow the app does not switch the navigation background correctly, so you end up with white icons on white background), I created this theme for the tablet with the official Sony Theme Creator.
You can just download and install it - go to apps -> Downloads -> open the apk. It is unsigned but works with the inbuilt official Sony Theme "Designs" section under settings, where you activate the new theme "Status bar with shadow" It is named wrong there, but will change the nav bar...
The only thing modified are the navigation bar icons on the bottom, I have added a shadow and some more outline so they can be seen. Below a picture how the navigation bar looks like in the current Gmail app. Before the outlines were barely visible.
