Maybe the is not yet extracted, you should see a .tar or md5 extension in the end of file.
Edit: Or the file is corrupted.

I had try this one from xda as well:
- Unzip the attached Odin3-vX.X.zip file
- Download and unzip the CF-Auto-Root-....zip file (see posts below this one)
- If you end up with a recovery.img and cache.img file, you've extracted twice. You need to end up with a .tar.md5 file - don't extract that one
- (USB) Disconnect your phone from your computer
- Start Odin3-vX.X.exe
- Click the PDA button, and select CF-Auto-Root-....tar.md5
- Put your phone in download mode (turn off phone, then hold VolDown+Home+Power to boot - if it asks you to press a button to continue, press the listed button, or run adb reboot download command)
- (USB) Connect the phone to your computer
- Make sure Repartition is NOT checked
- Click the Start button
- Wait for Android to boot
- Done (if it took you more than 30 seconds, you need practise!)
- NOTE: Sometimes the device does *not* boot into recovery mode and root your device. Just do the entire procedure again if this happens. If it still will not install root and such, make sure that in Odin "Auto Reboot" is not checked. Then after flashing, pull the battery, and boot with VolUp+Home+Power button to boot into recovery manually. This will start the install process.
But this last doesn’t work either…

Now I have a doubt, samsung-updates shows CRC (my country)
Galaxy S 3 (International)GT-I9300 CRC I9300UBELL6 4.1.2 31.12.2012 767276 and the information I pull from sammobile said this
Galaxy S 3 (International)GT-I9300 CRC I9300UBEMH2 and samsung updates doesnt have my country code with the same PDA as sammobile.
Do you think samsung-updates has a diferent code for my country? What should I do? Wich one should I pick ?

It can't write the file to your phones NAND memory, this can usualy be rectified by flashing a PIT file as well to fix any mult-media card corruptions as it will re-partition it.
Thanks, but where do i find a pit file?
Hello,
i have the DPLT nougat firmware and I want to update to the latest one. The only option is using Odin? Can I do it thru zip file?

Check for OTA update first from settings menu If that does not work, flash "HOME_CSC" from the new firmware via Odin and your data should not be affected.

Make sure your csc and cp is exactly the same model as your phone for your region. Search your firmware+ your region. And if everything doesnt work, dont put the other files, just the AP file.

Make sure your csc and cp is exactly the same model as your phone for your region. Search your firmware+ your region. And if everything doesnt work, dont put the other files, just the AP file.

AFAIK the SM-N970U has a locked bootloader. That prevents flashing another firmware files.
If you want to flash other firmware files, you either need to get the bootloader unlocked (what is not that easy so some devices and not available at all for others), or better get an unlocked device.
