I tried to downgrade the kitkat version because I couldn't update my apps, using a flash tool.
It then shut down and now does not turn on at all. When I plug into the computer the USB gets into a cycle/loop of connect and disconnect. Please help me if you have the time.

no. But I think it goes on '''META MODE'" ONLY on the computer for a few seconds.

Check device manager in your pc when you connect your phone, is it showing MTK 65xx preloader

It shows Mediatek preloader usb vcom port (com7) alternating with mtk usb port (com6).

U must have flashed some other device's firmware and which guide u have followed

I used this one.

I downloaded the latest firmware from
"THIS is the latest original ROW firmware (PC Flash Tool installation)"
This whole guide was fine, it worked for me.
But the problem was when I tried to downgrade the firmware to an older version.
I tried to replace the lastest official firmware with this one ROM Android 4.4.2 (older official needrom(dot)com/download/lenovo-a536/

except I downloaded the lenovo a536 stock rom.
the only thing I did different was that I plugged in (META MODE) and THEN pressed download or else the usb would never be detected (they both show different COM numerals.)
After that I firmly held the whole usb into the phone during the whole flashing, or else it might get automatically disconnected again.
Then I updated/upgraded to the latest firmware, And it is all optimal. :good:

What do u mean by "it is constantly going off while installing"
Does it boot in recovery mode? Please be as specific as you can while posting questions.

I don't think you need to connect phone during installing drivers and phone will stay connected after properly installing DA Vcom drivers

Hi, please I need your help. I tried to flash stock ROM but I hard bricked my phone. When I connect phone with computer I'm holding volume up button. In device manager it shows "MediaTek USB Port (COM4)" but after three seconds it disconnect. This is why I can't flash ROM. It's everytime disconnect after three seconds.. Please help me.

I was trying to flash custom rom on my phone Micromax Canvas Knight A350 , but something went wrong and it got hard bricked . Its dead right now.
And now my pc is not recognizing usb driver . I have tried many solutions for
"Device not recognized : One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it. For assistance in solving this problem, click this message." problem.
i have reinstalled the driver , turned of the power supply , updated all the drivers but error is still there.Please tell a good way to solve this issue so i can unbrick my phone. :crying:

I am having problem to use my smart phone as a USB drive on my PC. :crying: Earlier it used to. But I even came across that sometimes my PC used to recognize my Homtom HT3 smart phone as M380 (Micromax canvas spark 2) which belongs to my sibling.
The same problem occurred while connecting that phone. But now the PC has stopped detecting both of them. I gotta flash my phone with new ROM but this problem hinders me. Hereby I request any genius who can come up with a solution.
I can provide more info as per needed.

Do you have correct drivers installed? Also are you trying to connect phone in fastboot or normal MTP mode?

I have already got drivers installed in my laptop and moreover I downloaded them from internet and while installing came to know that they are already installed.
I am connecting phone in normal MTP mode.
I believe that the problem's with my laptop.
If you can provide any solution, I'll be very grateful!

Hi, REALLY hope someone can help here!
Elephone p9000.
I am trying to connect the phone to laptop in order to run SP flash. I can connect with the phone on (listed as p9000 in dev mngr). However when turned off the connection goes away.
I have: downloaded and installed vcom, cdc and usb drivers
Turned off digital installation from recovery on laptop
Trued the drivers in win 10
This is driving me nuts so really hoping for help!

thanks for the response. The p9000 will not go in to recovery mode without twrp - i can only get factory mode and this doesnt work either. It is set for usb debugging. It seems it is an issues with windows 10. fuggingtyfuggityfug
