Standard Mate 9 6GB ram - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

i wanna buy standard mate 9 with 6gb and 256gb
but its only available in a Chinese version .. will i be able to flash international or European rom to get rid of chinese stuff ?

I don't know if you can but I'm using 6g-128g and you can easily delete or disable all Chinese apps

No, you can't. I use Nova Launcher, and hide them all.

I wil would like to get the Mate 8, but I am concern about the Chinese language and Google services.
Any advice to make my experience good. What should I do when I get the phone first?

Just to let you know I live in the USA and I have t-mobile.
Thank you
I have the same model since last week, and I didnt have any problems, this smartphone is an incredible machine. The Chinesse language isnt a problem, just change the language and download an alternative dialer (if you dont want to see the yellow pages in chinesse feature).
Dont hesitate, great machine.

I had the 10, returned for the 29 with preloaded Google Apps. I was having an issue on the Chinese version with Google Apps and my Google account. The Chinese language on some apps was annoying as well. Now with the International version all is good. Plus it was cheaper.

You can get the 128gb from http://www.gizok.com for 699.99 or the 64gb for 649.99 in both Mocha Brown and Gold. I have no problems with the AL10 with any Google Apps nor do I have anything still in Chinese. I buy all my phones through there. You'll have it in three days after they ship. I ordered mine on a Saturday and had it by Thursday.

Help with the Mate 9 Pro in the US

Returning to Android after 2 years, and I've been doing a bit of research. I keep getting drawn to the Mate 9 Pro (Kirin 960, 6 GB, 128GB). I have some concerns though.
Will it work on all of the T-Mobile Bands (It seems yes, but I'd like to be sure)?
Can I use Google Play Services since it's a Huawei phone not made for the US Market?
Can someone confirm the navigation buttons can be made to be on screen only, and disable the physical capacitive keys?
Will Wi-Fi calling for T-Mobile work on Mate 9 Pro?
Best place to buy one that is reputable?

1. Yes.
2. Yes (but it will be a pain if you get the Chinese version. Best to get the European, Asian, or Middle East version)
3. I don't know.
4. No.

P40 pro 256gb or P30 pro 512gb?

Hi All, as happy user of p30 pro 256gb version I can upgrade to p40 pro or p30 pro 512gb? What will be your advice? I prefer to have gsm but can install these later, but for camera - which is mine main purpose, not seen much improvment with p40 against p30? I am missing anything else, for me to go p40 pro route or just stick with p30 pro 512gb version and play safe with google services? Many thanks for any advice or help.. ?
If you really want to keep using all the google apps, then I would stick with the P30 Pro for the moment ... just wait a while and see if the HMS-GMS install can be improved .. otherwise stick with P30 Pro ... if you want to de-google and support Huawei, then buy P40 Pro.
I need to google services to work, part for work, and need notification to work too, so looks like p30 pro new edition, as like back silver, ufs 3.0 and happy with 256gb..
Yep. Good plan.

Hi,
That version you're trying to buy is most probably the EU global version, which comes with all Global languages pre-installed. If you insert your SIM before the first time setup (first boot), your phone should automatically recognize your region and adjust itself accordingly.
If your language isn't included, you can unlock the Bootloader, flash official firmware from a different reigon and then Re-lock it again.
Also, as a Seasoned Xiaomi device enthusiast, here are a couple tips before buying/deciding:
There are some complaints and many reviews that the proximity sensor is sometimes defective on Arrival from seller, making calls extremely uncomfortable. Make sure to check its functionality before the Return window closes.
I own the Poco X3 NFC, which has the same snapdargon 732g chipset. Trust me when I say this, MIUI 12.5 is not optimized quite well for them. Games also don't recognize the right graphical settings for it. (Unless you plan to run a Custom ROM/Root immediately)
If you can sacrifice having a 3.5mm jack/sdcard, I would suggest buying the POCO F3, which is practically the same price but with the sd 870 chipset, an 200% increase in performance. Making MIUI actually usable.
If you must have 3.5mm/sdcard but can forgo an amoled screen for an LCD one, I would suggest the POCO X3 pro. It comes with the snapdragon 860 chipset and is cheaper in price anyways.
More answers can be found in the device sub-forum. Have fun with your new purchase
I cannot flash note 10 pro after I installed arrow rom , I guess it happened after the update of arrow rom. Before it was working fine.
Try everything from Twrp .. like cleaning
a.dalvik cache
b.System
C.metadata
d.Data
e.Cache
And even format...
arrow rom shows up again after reboot .....any help?
I also think it must come with all Global languages pre-installed.

Question Need advice regarding Lenovo p11 j606

Hello everyone!
In this day I was considering the idea of buying the Lenovo tab p11 .. all very nice except that I discovered that there are two versions sold in the world. the first is the Chinese version with 6 GB of RAM and the other is the "global" version with 4 GB of RAM. Now, not necessarily more RAM means better but I would like to know if with the optimization on the software side the difference can be noticed. also, coming from Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and while I'm writing this pixel 2 XL thread, the modding, if I get the Chinese version, Is that complicated? if i don't get the global version, will disney + or netflix or prime videos work? because I read that with Netflix the classic apk is enough to install and you are ok but for the others?
PS the cost of the Chinese version of the tablet has the same cost as the global version here in Italy at the moment, around 180/200€
