IDK, if there is something like USB JIG for 30 pin USB connector.
Otherwise no chance of rooting via Odin method until you got your volume down button repaired. :good:
you have to conect your tablet to your pc and reboot it via adb
hope this help

I didnt think adb would work. Isnt that a sudo command to boot download mode?
Edit*** yeah, won't work to root because its a superuser command

sudo adb reboot download

Sudo= SuperUser Do
Sudo commands will not work unless the device is already rooted, as i mentioned above.

sudo is only needed for root permissions on the remote computer when udev doesn't give full permission to the usb device that is connected to it. I'm not referring to calling su on the tablet itself.

[Q] Need Debug on, but screen and power button broken, device still on and working

Hi guys!
I brooke the screen and touch of my razr hd, as well its power button.
I'm trying to acess its screen trough the pc using a tool from the forum. BUT I need to have the usb debbuging enabled, wich I don't have.
So, I need to enable it from de pc somehow.
The device is working properly, the pc recognizes it and allows me to deal with its files, the device is turned on and is rooted already.
Someone have any idea of how to enable the usb debugging with the touch and without entering in recovery or fastbootmode?
The only two things I know I can do with it for now is to reset or turn it off trough a command in cerberus.

There's a lot of info out there on this. Various way to recover. Maybe try this:

All the info in this 2 tutorials and in other I've found, in some how, ask me to use the buttons to acess fastboot mode or recovery mode, but as I said, they are broken.
I was hoping to find some comand lines via pc and with the device still on to put it to recovery or fastboot mode, cause then I can use adb or fastboot to enable usb debugging.... But, I still don't know how...

[Completed] Help! LG G4 bootloop, can't get into recovery or bootloader/fastboot mode

So I was following the instructions here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/stock-h815-20a-stock-images-kdz-t3232282
and my G4 is in a bootloop after step 7 (reboot into twrp). Gets a second or two into the animated LG logo then resets.
I want to get back into fastboot mode or recovery so I can flash again, but no button combo does anything, (p+d or p+u, held, or with the short gap as in many descriptions). If I hold all three buttons, it shows imei and a barcode, but I can't go anywhere from this screen.
It's boot loader unlocked as per LG official unlock, and still says so in tiny writing top left when first booting.
Can anyone give me some tips on how to get this thing back into fastboot mode? I have a mac with adb and fastboot working well.
Thanks,

There were three methods outlined in the post, but i think this should help you...
In order to successfully complete this method a computer will be required. A connection between your smartphone and your PC will also have to be ensured, so on your LG G4 gain developer rights and then check USB debugging – go to “menu – settings – about phone” and tap several times on built number and then access “menu – settings – developer options”. Also, on your PC flash Android SDK by following: install Android SDK on Windows or set up ADB on MAC OS X / Linux. Don’t forget to charge your handset before going any further and then apply:
Connect your LG G4 with your computer via USB cable.
On your PC access the Android SDK folder.
There, open a command prompt window: press and hold Shift keyboard key and then right click on any blank space.
In the cmd window you have to execute the following command: “adb reboot bootloader”.
Enjoy.

I'm familiar with using adb to reboot into bootloader, That's how I got this far. But it only works if you have a working OS with developer options for adb to connect to.
Unfortunately I don't have a working OS, or working anything else.

Using ADB

Hi All,
I'd like to know how to use ADB to pull files off a Sony Xperia Z2 convertly when it is plugged into a PC.
I am suspecting my son is misbehaving and he is behaving very coy.
Would is also be possible to install some spy software using ADB so that I can more accurately confirm my suspicions?
Thank you in advance.

First of all, you should talk to your son about this. Spying and hacking a phone won't solve any parenting issues.
And now to answer your question: Probably not.
If the phone is locked and USB Debugging is disabled you cannot use ADB at all. You have to first enable USB debugging, but to be able to do that you need to know the phone's password.
You could, however, boot into recovery mode to unconditionally activate ADB, but in most cases when you try to do anything the phone will say that you're unauthorized and not allow you to do anything. To authorize ADB you, once again, need the phone's password.
If you do get ADB to work and get it to authorize here are the commands you need:
Pulling files:
Code:
adb pull /path/to/file
Installing an app:
Code:
adb install /path/to/app/appFileName.apk
There are more methods for what you need that use fastboot, hboot, bootloader unlocking, JTAG etc. but they are a lot harder to do than to talk a problem out with your son.

Go to to developer option and enable usb debugging option. Install proper usb drivers to your pc. Connect your Android to PC and type
adb devices then enter and type
adb reboot recovery then enter
These commands boot your android in recovery.
