Thanks. I wouldn't want to "try" any method that's not proven as it's my work phone.

I have L29 version. The guide page has so many steps mentioned to update to Nougat? and you say that you just dirty flashed the files over KangVIP and everything is fine?
Can you please confirm if its possible on L29 as well? If yes,can you please send me the 2 links that you are referring to?

Thanks wmfreak...I installed both the files using TWRP but now I have 2 issues
1> No matter what version of TWRP I install, I am unable to get back to TWRP screen. Sometimes it goes to EMUI recovery, and sometimes it hangs and just says "your device is booting now". I am using TWRP. 3.02 4.1 . Is it the wrong version ? Or am I using the wrong hote keys.
Are you able to go to the TWRP screen after nougat? Please help!

I've finally managed to find another copy of the stock Ascend P2 firmware [P2-6011V100R001C00B021]
Flashing is easy, just copy the dload folder to the root of your internal memory and use the system update app to apply a local update.
The ROM can be rooted using eRoot.
More tweaks and other mods for this rom will follow soon.
Downloads:
P2-6011V100R001C00B021
eroot v1.3.3
Thank you Angelbob! I can finally have the B021 update
Very cool I assume I can flash it even if I've removed some of the stock Apks from my current rom?
By the way there's a p2tools apk on the server- Whats it for?
Mine fails to update, after the system reboots in the Android recovery system.
Fails to mount E: /SDcard. Runs through the "checking module" stuff, and after Checking module Cust it writes Huawei SD card update fail..
and continues
cust copying files...
copy cust files successed!
and then the huge
FAIL.
I'm probably doing something wrong but what could it be?
Try a factory reset first
Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
How well does this ROM work?
EDIT: I also cannot get this ROM installed.
Could it be because I am already running BO25?
I tried factory resetting as you suggested to the other person, it made no difference.
Tried factory reset also, made no difference
Mine updated fine.
I thought this would remove the silly operator logo that comes up when i turn on my phone and remove all the apps installed by the operator, but it's all still there.
Is this just a 'kernel' update or am i missing something here?
Thanks.

You ought to try this method to downgrade your ROM.
1) your P2 must have root access;
2) find in the "default.prop" file (you'll find it in the "/" directory) and change "B025" to "B020" for example:
ro.confg.hw_bootversion=P2-6011V100R001C00B025...
3) find in the "build.prop" file and change all "B025" to "B020" for example:
ro.confg.hw_systemversion=P2-6011V100R001C00B025_SYSTEM
ro.build.display.id=P2-6011V100R001C00B025
ro.build.version.incremental=C00B025
ro.build.description=P2-6011-user 4.1.2 HuaweiP2-6011 C00B025 ota-rel-keys,
ro.build.fingerprint=Huawei/hwp2-6011:4.1.2/HuaweiP2/C00B025
ro.product.CustDVersion=B025 (here can be any other values, these are only for example).
Having changed all the above-mentioned values, you will be able to downgrade your B025 ROM to B021. Just remember, that a ROM version in the edited "default.prop" and "build.prop" must be lower than a ROM version which you want to downgrade to.
Good luck!

Hello,
I just bought my Mate 8 which is a chinese model (AL10) rooted to NXT C900 B170 (stock international rom).
I would very much like to flash to B320 (in order to get EMUI 4.1).
What rom do you suggest I flash before B320 ? I read that it it risky to directly flash from B170 to B320.
Thanks !
Kind regards.

Hello,
I "encourtered" a problem with a new update.
I bought an Asian Huawei Mate 8 with the C636B152 version.
Next, I use a C900B320 version to flash this Huawei. Currently it works perfectly.
But now, I have a zip file ROM C432B320 to flash it and I try to update.
For that I use the 3 buttons method.
I extract the zip file in a dload folder on the SD card.
I use 3 buttons and the smartphone restart.
It seem the update is perfectly but, after reboot my huawei is always with the C900B320 version
I launch TWRP and it say : "Device not rooted". Is this the problem ?
What should I do to resolve this ?
Thank you very much to help me.
Regards.

Hey,
after my phone (L09 C636, EMUI 5, B380, rooted) began to do really crazy things yesterday (seemed like SuperSU was the problem) I decided to reset it completely because installation was a long and dirty path.
Here my steps (some missing, did to many things):
- don't know anymore how I started hours ago...
- tried several things with MultiTool and Huwei Update extractor
- wasn't able to enter something else than eRecovery and fastboot for hours
- got TWRP (3.1.1.0) run after several flashes of differtent versions
- no access to sdcard and not shown on PC (only ext SD)
- got Backup (EMUI 5, rooted) restored (without Vendor, Product, Version because with fails)
- bootloop
- sdcard accessable in TWRP and on PC
- tried dload way with different firmware versions (B130, B360, B380, failes (update.app inside dload, HuWoc (don't know name) folder deleted on sdcard)
So in summary I should have a colorfull shake of different parts of several firmwares, backups and internet guides.
Could anyone give me steps how I can get everything reseted and a clean phone? Don't need to detailed description, just steps that make the phone clean and runable so I can reinstall everything.
Thank you!

Hey,
after my phone (L09 C636, EMUI 5, B380, rooted) began to do really crazy things yesterday (seemed like SuperSU was the problem) I decided to reset it completely because installation was a long and dirty path.

I had the same problem, first of all I used Huawei firmware extractor, so I flashed from fastboot recovery, recovery2 and boot(remember to use emui 5 firmware, with older version it will fail)
After that I used rollback package from dload and then I have installed a full marshmallow firmware from dload ...then updated to emui 5 and rooted again.
The Update.app hat to get directly in the dload folder on the external SD right? dload tells me the package doesn't exist...
Edit: getting tired. Copied the rollback as zip next try...
Edit: Rollback successful
Edit: THANK YOU! Got a runnig phone with Marshmellow that I can work with
Steps were just:
- Extracted recovery, recovery2 and boot out of B380 package
- flash them with fastboot
- install rollback package with dload
- install B130 (Marshmellow)
