Hello,
I am running CM7 A8.1, and I am wondering how to merge the following update.zip files into 1 update.zip so I don't have to install 1 by 1?
Here is the order in which I install the following zips after flashing the Alpha8 through Odin:
1. CM7.2.0-GT-I5800_Alpha8.1a_CWM.zip (http://cm7-i5800.googlecode.com/files/CM7.2.0-GT-I5800_Alpha8.1a_CWM.zip)
2. Google Apps (http://goo.im/gapps)
3. Deodexed version of A8 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1415179)
4. ICS Complete patch by AChep (same as above)
5. MegaBassBeats audio (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1602753)
6. Hillbeast's test002 kernel of G3Mod (http://db.tt/PteQpsdY)
If someone could merge all of these into 1 update zip I would be very grateful, if not just tell me what I should do to merge them
And if that's not possible could you link me a thread on how to make my own rom with the current things i have installed (all of the above update.zips) and convert it into a tar so i can just flash that instead of update.zips

This can be done via Aroma Installer Script which is a full GUI Mode for Installing which Runs in Recovery.. I think Rubensollie was making one.. Not sure when he will release..

Can I try and overwrite one after another with total commander and then apply the zip that is made of all the overwritten files (also delete the .odex files and the unnecessary apps from system/app)?

Not only that, I am thinking about overwriting the files in that particular order which I would usually run update.zip, so I can get 1 instead of 6 update.zips

Ah! now I get what you actually meant. Actually what you want can be done without Aroma Installer.. You just need files at proper place directories..
1.Take CyanogenMod Alpha 8.1 Extract the ZIP.
2.Remove zImage and add the zImage of HB Kernel
3.Remove Apps and Framework folder from /system and add from Deodexed CyanogenMod
4.Go to each folder in Achep Patch and replace the files in the CyanogenMod 7 Folder..
5.Do similarly and replace file for MegaBassBeats and Gapps.. Be careful to place in correct directory.
Repack the META-INF, system and zImage folder at Store Compression Level. Apply it and there you go!

Thanks that's the guide i've been looking for!
This zip is a pure stock firmware with no extra stuff added! Only the boot.img is bumped and the modem is hybrid(v30 + v20 to make bump compatible).
Features:
Added from the stock v30 base:
system.img
modem.img - hybrid one(contains v30 + v20 stuff)
boot.img - bumped
rpm.img
tz.img
cust.img
selinux is permissive
How to install:
Wipe system, data, cache, dalvik cache for a clean install.
Flash D850_V30_Bumped.zip
For root:
SuperSU - flash BETA-SuperSU-v2.52.zip.(No SafetyNet pass).
MagiskSU - get it from the official magisk thread.(Passes SafetyNet).
Reboot
Downloads:
v30A [2017-02-09] - Click here to download (MD5: 95ff1dd2e38439e2dea3c46f4a49c3ee)
BETA-SuperSU-v2.52.zip - Click here to download
SharpeningMOD fix - Click here for thread
Mirrors are welcome because this is most probably the first and the last firmware that will come to the D850. It will be good if someone share a picture of about-phone that shows the software info
Modems:
v30A + v20A - Click here to download
v20A - Click here to download
Q&A:
What's different in the hybrid modem?
Check this post - click here
How is this different to other MM stock rom's out there?
This not an extracted system.img rom like others. It contains extracted .kdz files and just flashes them. Permissive selinux is included, alongsite 3 build.prop changes to make for better compatibility(this is an D850PR kdz). Nothing else, no tweaks, no other stuff added.
What does [2017-02-09] mean?
That's build date of the kdz(can be checked in build.prop, kernel build date...)
These are the build.prop changes:
Code:
ro.build.target_country=[B]COM[/B]/ro.build.target_country=[B]US[/B]
telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=[B]0[/B]/telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=[B]1[/B]
ro.product.locale=en-[B]GB[/B]/ro.product.locale=en-[B]US[/B]
Thanks man! Great work!
Noob Question: I am on Stock KitKat ROM with KitKat Modem. To upgrade into this, do I also need to flash the hybrid modems as well, then flash this ROM? Or the MM ROM already has the modem on it, and do I just need to flash the ROM?

The modem is already included in the full zip. I don't think you will have any problem. Most partitions from kdz are already included, so it should work fine. If not you must update to LP but that's only if this doesn't work.

Hello. It's strange because it's there but I guess just disabled. LGHome is the same like other variants. Do you use xposed? With xposed there may be an easy fix but without it need to investigate little more.
I am not using Xposed, and kept rom completely stock.
But Theme engine is not available.

Try to download my rom which is the same for d850. And check the permissions folder. U will find the difference in size. I can't remember which exact file is for theme (it can be com.lge.permissions.xml but i'm not 100% sure)...

No need to provide seperate zip files, you can easily extract them from the apk. Here are the steps :
Download the apk file.
Download any root explorer of your choice.( I prefer ES File Explorer)
Navigate to the downloaded apk and long press it.
Under the 3 dot menu select extract to and extract the apk.
Now you will find the bootanimation.zip file in assets/bootanimation folder.
Now go to the root folder and navigate through system>media. Once there locate your current bootanimation.zip file
Long-press your current bootanimation.zip file, and click copy, as we'll want to have a backup just in case. Paste it wherever convenient for you OR simply change the extension from .zip to .bak
Once your new bootanimation.zip has been selected for moving, navigate back to system > media and paste it there. You'll have to overwrite your current animation zip, but that's fine since you have a backup in case something goes wrong. Go for it.
For many of you, the previous step will be the last step. But, if for any reason you're still stuck with you old animation, you can try aligning the permissions of your newly-copied bootanimation.zip file with the permissions in the system/media folder. In our case, those were rw-r-r. Just long-press your new bootanimation.zip file and click Permissions and change them until they fit. The logic behind these abbreviations goes like this: Owner - Group - Other. Read for 'r', Write for 'w', and Execute for 'x'. Save the changes and restart.

Dunno what im doing wrong but even setting the permissions for the zip file is not working in CRDroid.. i haven't tried any other rom tho.
Well to be honest it actually changed but to something completely stock?... dunno how to call it but it just says "Android" and it lights up a bit , doesn't say crdroid anymore but i also didn't get the watchdog boot animation i wanted.
EDIT: Lol my bad was missing a letter faceplam~ , ok now ... is there a way to make it use the whole screen? Right now it doesn't . Thanks in advance

Well the redmi note 4 of course and i said CRDroid on my comment. Maybe there is something bad related with the rom there cuz i always had trouble to change the bootanimation on crdroid...
I did it manually and only that way it worked but it looks weird since it doesn't take the whole screen , then i took a look to the images inside the boot animation zip and i can see they are 768 x 1280px.
So i was gonna extract the images and increase their size to Full HD Res with photoshop and batch processing, but do you think it will work? should i change the desc tex file too?
Because it has the 768 x 1280px written there too and there a "30" next to it ( which i guess is the frames per second for the boot animation? lol).
Thanks in advance

This module patches OPLongshot's code so that it produces PNG screenshots, as it should, instead of JPEG screenshots (ew!). It patches only the VDEX/ODEX files, which have no signature on them — only the APK is signed, which we do not modify, so OPLongshot still retains system signature privileges. The original APK is included to avoid version mismatches (although I don't think there will be much issue even if it isn't includd).
Note that the OPLongshot was taken from the OnePlus 5T's system image. YMMV for other devices on OxygenOS (or even HydrogenOS?).
The current version uses the version of OPLongshot from OnePlus 5T OxygenOS 5.1.0/5.1.1 (same), with version 1.1.0.180328153957.6a699c8.
Remember to clear Dalvik/ART cache after installing this.

Hello I tried on 5.0.4 but screenshot app crashes
This module works flawlessly on my OnePlus 5, in case anyone else wanted to try it on theirs.
Who at OnePlus decided JPGs should be used for screenshots? Gross.
Thanks!
does it work on android pie? Testing it on OnePlus 6 and it's not working. can't take screenshot anymore
Can anybody confirm if this Xposed module works on OnePlus 7T using Android 10, thanks.
---Edit---
Can confirm that it doesn't work on OnePlus 7T after attempting to flash w/ Magisk.
FOR ALL CYANOGENMOD ROMS !
Note : I didn't made this fix ,it belongs to developers who worked so hard to fix
a major ROM-killer bug . I'm sharing a fix that was made after long discussions between developers
it's a very popular problem so that's why I want to help everybody
WHY Hotfix ?
this fix resolve apps installing issue as when you want to install any app for example Temp Mail from the play store
after completing installation your Launcher will crash and the whole OS will get destroyed completely
what makes the phone stuck in a bootloop and probably you will not be able to do anythink because
every time you want to install an app the same problem remain and again everything will crash
Hotfix info.
it will replace the file which cause the problem (libandroidfw.so)
from /system/lib
it's just as simple as that ! magic ! can't be easier !
Installation
just download the zip file for your ROM (cm12.1 or cm13)
and flash it just after flashing gapps

oh dear
of course you can flash it through any recovery
it's not a ROM or anything like it ! it's a system file (lib) and flashing the zip will replace the existing one on the ROM to resolve a problem .
Looking for this patch
The download links don't seem to be working, wondering if you still have the files (or know where I can find them)?
I've found a kind of tutorial, but I'm not well equipped to decompile and recompile the libandroidfw.so to fix this on my own (and the rest of the fixes I've found were ROM specific)
Thanks!

download links are working perfectly
its just OneDrive that is a bit slow so you have to wait a bit . you can try different browsers . I added Google Drive links
if you want the original files checkout the sources (at the bottom).
HOWEVER , maybe on the files (Zip's) won't work ! you might get an error in twrp ! if that happened then you can just copy the file libandroidfw.so from the zip file and copy it to /system/lib
cheers
Bad flash
Won't get past bootloader on CM12.1 after flashing. So switched to the original backup copy I made, and boots normally. So this is not a universal patch. You have to modify the libandroidfw.so file built for the ROM as described in this post:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77526220&postcount=13
Will this file can be flashed in any device???
