ABOUT
DutyManager is a simple application for people, small and medium sized businesses which manage on call duty.
It based on your pre-defined list configured on into the app and set up unconditional call forward for you.
This task is automatically triggered by a keyword found in the description of any calendar (synchronized or not) hosted in the phone. It's the first keyword which appears on the description on the event, separated by a space. Any keyword can be used (name, surname, trigram, etc ...)
STORY
This app was written after looking around some solution to manage our duty schedule during week-end hours inside my IT department. We've look around our IPX but it didn't offer any calendar system to shift automatically phone number. We've also found bunch of online apps which offers virtual phone number but prices were the limitation.
Therefore as we had an android spare smartphone where we manually forward call to people, I decide to automate all the stuff with Tasker. Since almost one year now, it worked well and now I propose this app for all with a GUI made with Tasker.
REQUIREMENTS
- a dedicated android smartphone (version 5.0 Lollipop and above) with the phone number that your contacts/customers/alarm system know
- a calendar synchronized on the device (even works a local one)
- DutyManager application
FEATURES
★ Manage shifts from google calendar website (or any calendar configured and synchronized on the device)
★ Customize short code to setup unconditional forwarding based on your mobile provider guideline
★ Manage your own list in an easiest way. Keyword (a name, trigram) + phone number
★ Add new contact remotely by text message
★ On-Call Reminder Notifications: Automatically remind duty contact when their on-call shift is begin with a customizable text message
★ Override on-call shift ("takeover"" on a scheduled contact) or check the status at any time, through text message (sms)
★ Any text message (sms) received on the phone is automatically forward to the duty contact (very useful for alarm system notification)
★ Be notify when phone battery is below 5%, battery overheating
★ For battery concern, calendars are checked every 5 minutes
★ Extended functionalities available if your device is rooted (clear popup, reboot phone remotely command)
COMING FEATURES
★ Manual import of contact list
★ and more..
NOTES
- Please verify that call forwarding is on your mobile plan. This application will not bypass plan's limitations
- Some carriers charge for call forwarding so please check with you carrier before purchasing this application
- Accessibility option has to be enabled in order for this app to work properly. Due to an android limitation, accessibility service must be enable for DutyManager in order to grab the result of MMI code query and catch the setup phone number.
- The best config for DutyManager is to plug your phone via usb on any "always-on" computer or on a wall power plug.

Free version is limited, meaning :
- Number of entries in the list is limited to 2 entries
- Customized text message sent: not available but a default one is already set
- Remote function by text message: not available
SOURCE
The full project has been published Oct.2017 on https://github.com/baudbox/DutyManager. Meaning that if you like my work ...
I really appreciated any feedbacks from anyone here. But please be gentle because it's my first app.
I've learnt a lot by browsing xda threads, asking and answering questions, so I use this thread as a "test platform" in order to check if my idea is good and if I can go further by bringing new features.

Good day Folks,
DutyManager is out of beta cycle and you will find a new release on Google Play Store.
Note that price for pro version has been decreased to 0,99 but for making happy users, the app is free for 1 week, starting from August 1st, 2017.
Enjoy
Hi, you were around more than 500 people who had downloaded my app during the free week and first, I want to thank you all :good:
Still get 144 active users now and sound like folks are happy with, as I didn't heard any complain nor getting any new request about feature. Sounds like all need have been filled, right ?
A new free period has been scheduled in a couple of weeks from now : from Sept 8th to Sept 15th
As said on another place, I'm not here to make money with this app but mostly to have fun and discover by the keyhole what could be a global process of launching an app.
I'm thinking about putting all the source code under Tasker format on my github for those who are interested.
Feel free to try the free version in // till there
Cheers!
Folks,
A new week of promotion > check it out, DutyManager is free
Any review and feedback are welcome.
Enjoy!

Here is my first application called Sorry2BLate available in the market (free app).
If you are late on a daily basis route or journey, usually you take your phone and call or send a message to recipients. This application take care of sending message itself. Set your checkpoints, your recipients, the repeating days and others options and it's done.
Unlike other geolocalized application, this one take care of where you're not and not where you are !
Geolocation works on GPS and/or Wifi/Cell networks.
Other options :
Advance settings to not send message when you're in advance.
User confirmation or not before sending message
Add your location on message
Non geolocalized message (to send message at a specific datetime)

Someone with a Hero with 2.1 reports me a bug in comment (forceclose maybe ?). Can someone with this phone and android version can test and precise the problem (Log file with aLogCat application will be the best). The bug seems to be when selecting checkpoints on the map (map tab when editing alarm).
Thanks !
Foce Close fix (when going on "Map tab").
Version updated to 0.7.0
Checkpoints hour now in alarm's list.
Version 0.7.1 available
- bug fix
- search address on map (search button or in menu)
- back on schedule message. You were late but not anymore.
- notification settings to turn off notification
- save sms settings to save send sms in phone sms database
- trackball color chooser for notification
Next version will focus on user interface.
Version 0.7.2. Released : Fix back on schedule message when send one message per checkpoint enabled. Previously alarm was disabled at first late checkpoint and further checkpoints status where not updated.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
I've been quite busy this time and not had time to work on the project.
But a new version will come soon and is in test now.
Updates for this version :
- bugfixes
- getting address (street, town ...) of each checkpoint
- internal update for next versions and futur features
- Google Calendar import
If you own a G1 please test application and report bugs to help me fix them (I've bad comment from a G1 owner du bugs).
Another question : No problem sending sms to contact with accents on contact's name (like stéphane (+33123456789)) with my nexus one, but sms not send and null pointer exception getSubmitPduHead(SmsMessage.java:595) with HTC desire HD so if you have any solution contact me !
Version 0.7.3 released.
See previous post for updates details.
Fix bug on DesireHD (was on contact or recipients string having a 'p' or 'w' in letters).

Next version in test now, update coming before end of week if no problem.
In the next update :
* bugfixes
* import several calendar event at once
* adding time before alert for time based alarm from calendar events
* confirm sending message and notification when "back to schedule"
* Wake up phone when idle to confirm message sending
* New application settings to not send message just be notified when late or back to schedule (test mode before spamming your recipients)
* Widget (size 3*1) for alarm based on geolocation (late alarm)
Next ideas to do
Widget displaying also scheduled alarm
Sending message when arriving in checkpoints (when you're late or not)
Much easier screen to create alarm with step by step instructions displaying 1 or maximum 2 features on one screen (current screen will be available in expert mode).
If you want to test the next version feel free to email or pm me.
New version available :
See last post for new features.
A few explanations:
List active geolocation based alarm (late alarm).
A click on alarm's title open main application, click on next button to cycle through alarm.
Round bitmaps under alarm's title are checkpoints (control point defined on maps). There are green when not late, red when late, no color when undefined.
Maximum number of bitmap is 10 so only the 10 firsts are displayed.
Battery should not suffered from widget, refresh time is set to 5 hours and each time the status of a checkpoint changes (the last alarm displayed will be the alarm with last checkpoint updated).
Minor version available :
- Scheduled Alarms now appearing in Widget
- Scheduled Alarms are now send at specific time and not 15 seconds earlier.
New version 0.7.6 available :
- bug fix on "Map" tab with click on "Next point" after checkpoints deletion (when already navigating with "next point" option before).
- Widget design updates (transparency + border)
- Notification icons for all screen size (much better on high screen density now).

A big thanks to Stephane for bug report and tests.
I forget things quite easily so I have been using my phone for years to help me remember about certain tasks I need to do. I tried few applications but did not fall in love with any. They are often too complex and require too many steps to create a reminder / note.
Therefore I decided to make my own. I learned the basics of Android development and spent 2 months developing "Simplest Reminder". I was working on and off and only during my free time which was just a few hours a day at most.
Without further delay I present my first android application
It is available for free, with NO ads, in the Play Store:

UPDATE, May 22: I now have a donation version of my application in store. It is located here: Simplest Reminder (Donate)
If you like my application please consider buying the "donate version". Both apps have the same features so buying my app ($ 0.99) is just a way of saying Thank You for my hard work.
UPDATE, October 16 2013: Donate version has just became PRO version with new, exciting features based on user feedback. Simplicity has not been compromised but functionality has been greatly improved.
It is available at the same URL: Simplest Reminder Pro so that anybody who donated to me gets free upgrade. Thanks to the bunch of you who supported me with nice words and especially those who bought my app! I hope you all enjoy the new features
Here is a list of new features in the Pro version:
- Recurring reminders. Choose between daily, weekly, monthly, or annually
- Pop Up dialog. This can be disabled in Settings
- New, analog style Time and Date pickers inspired by Google Calendar's app
- Self-repeating reminders. Reminder will repeat itself every 10 minutes so you don't miss it. This can be disabled or interval can be changed in Settings
- LED light notifications. This can also be disabled in Settings
- Swipe notification away to delete reminder. This can also be disabled in Settings
- Swipe notification away to dismiss recurring reminder
- Help screen
- Improved user interface and performance
Pro screenshots:
UPDATE, October 17: APK for free version uploaded as per user request. This is for people who can't use Google Play for any reason.
UPDATE, October 18: Version 1.8 of the Simplest Reminder Free has been released. I refreshed the looks to be as nice as the look in the Pro version. I updated the screenshots in this thread.
UPDATE, Nov 12 2014: Version 2.1.1 of the Simplest Reminder Free has been released. I fixed bunched of things and added minor improvements such as ability to choose more sounds.
Pro version now has Pop Up dialog option.
UPDATE, Dec 2 2014: Version 2.6.2 of the Simplest Reminder Pro has been released. I added new, analog style Time and Date pickers inspired by Google Calendar's app. They make picking date and time much easier and they look great too! I attached new screenshots.
Thanks for your interest!
Hey this looks great! Gonna download right now and test for you.
I love the example you showed... "PAY YOUR BILLS!" hahaha

Thanks lurtis. I really appreciate that!

Hey Teadious. What country are you in, if I may ask. I can enable it. For now only US and Poland are enabled. The reason is that my app uses this time format: 12/25/2013 which is standard in the US but not other countries (not even in Poland but I enabled Poland because other tester is there )
Thanks again for your interest.
EDIT: I enabled ALL countries. It will take couple hours for the changes to take effect.
I'm from the Netherlands, I'll try the app out for you now

PM me if you need help
I love this app! :cyclops:
Thank You all for the support. In just one day the number of installations went from 6 to 24! Awesome.
I spent few hours recently trying to find a very frustrating bug in my application that was causing reminders not to go off under certain circumstances.
I found a potential issue, fixed it and pushed updated version 1.2 to the Google Play yesterday.
I really hope that it will permanently fix it! However, if for any reason a reminder doesn't go off for you it would be very helpful if you could provide some details here or PM me (version 1.2 and up only).
Thanks!
EDIT: Just pushed version 1.3 to the market because there still was a bug. Third time a charm... Hope it is gone for good!
Today I pushed 2 updates to the market.
Version 1.4 is meant to put an end to the mysterious bug causing reminders not to go off (I am 100% confident I nailed it this time and it turns out it was not even a bug but rather a missing feature, lol - simply put, the alarms were not set after phone reboot [Android OS removes all alarms on phone reboot])
Version 1.5 introduces new option in the settings panel - now you can decide if screen should be turned on when reminder goes off.
Thanks for sharing your work!
A nice feature would be, if we can decide Yes/no Notification Sound per reminder.
So one is with notification sound as set up in settings, one without because of not beeing so important.

While this is a nice feature, I don't think I will be implementing anything that would add complexity or increase number of taps required to create a reminder. The main goal of my application is being the simplest to use out of all reminder applications in the market.
There are many great applications in the market that have all that complexity and extra features including colors, note priority, sound per reminder, vibration per reminder, repeatable reminders etc. The reason why I don't use those apps is because setting up a reminder takes a minute or so.
I realize that limiting the number of features in my app may turn some users away but at the same time I am confident that it will be appealing to users who expect mobile apps to be simple and intuitive to use.
With all that being said, I really appreciate your feedback and please keep it coming. I may actually build another application based on Simplest Reminder that would have whole bunch of additional features.
Will give it a try! Teamed up with NotifyMe or such, could be very useful indeed.
Nice app, but how hard would it be to add some sort of calender view when picking a date?
So instead of scrolling, you just tap the date/day.
Would that make the app more complex?
can I get an .apk? I don't always have an active internet connection.
Great app, but I'm afraid that U.S. date format does my head in...
looks great!
going to try this on my s 3 i9300 with Paranoid Android 3.00 )
Awesome, just awesome and it looks beautfiul!
Thank you so much!

Need advice and tips to enhance usability, are very important for active traders reviews.
What you need to add what is missing? Remake that it was convenient?
todo:
- charting
- Add to a detailed list of the numerical change of course (to the right of purchase and sale prices)
- Add the ability to hide not interested trader currency pairs
- Add the ability to sort
- Add the possibility of buying and selling directly from the main screen (long tapas), without going to the page of the currency pair.
ps: if you have a good idea or good advice, I will be grateful.
Great looking app and good job, but I think it's against the rules to post paid apps without a free/donate version on XDA! Just giving you a heads up
Free version, coming in few days. Sorry that is not immediately posted.
What model will be prefered:
- advert and full functionality
- no advert, semi functionality (no trade for some pair)
Maybe thread will be moved? -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/paid-software
I now choose the form for a free verision of app, tell me which option is the most convenient to the user?
- advertising + full functionality
- trial + full functionality
- no advertising + no trial + semi functionality
I'm a little confused.
Update screenshots (with en lang) in first post.
Free version uploaded to play.google.com, available in few hours.
The free version has no restrictions, it is fully functional.
The free version has no ads.
From 14 days of use, the free version when it starts saying - this is free version. This is the only difference from paid version.

Highlights
Users are now able to backup and restore the app state manually. Just select a Google account and backup, the app stores data in a dedicated section on your Google Drive storage.
From my tests on devices and emulators, the dynamic video player scales properly on devices running Android Nougat and above. The player still works on older Android versions, but it crops the video when the view is minimized. Unfortunately, the YouTube player library offered by Google is closed-source and I was unable to pinpoint the reason why it responds differently to scaling animations on older Android versions. If you find the player too unstable, please switch back to the static player in the Settings page or disable it completely.
Scheduled background syncs now start in foreground mode by default, which means the Android OS will not kill that process if it needs resources for other apps while Release Tracker is syncing.
The sync algorithm has been optimized, it's faster and uses a fraction of the amount of data it used in the previous version. Notifications will be generated for recent releases only. A release is counted as recent if the associated year is equal to the current year. If the current month is January or February, releases from the previous year are also counted as recent.
Please check the updated Help page for more details.
Notes
Over the next few months, no major features will be added. This app will continue to receive support updates (bugfixes). When I will begin working on another major update, I will consider all the suggestions received, starting with the one feature that was planned but didn't make it in this update, importing artists from your Discogs collection / wantlist.
Please report app crashes by pressing the report button.
If you notice any abnormal behavior inside the app, please send me a PM describing the scenario that caused that behavior, the device make and model and screenshots / video if you find that necessary for better understanding the problem.
What database are you using to find when new releases are out?
I am using the Discogs database. I forgot to specify that since the description is from the store listing where I am not allowed to mention other products. I will edit the post right now

Without further ado:
CommuniqAI is the ultimate AI-powered tool for effortlessly scheduling and automating your SMS text messages, calls, and email. It’ll help you stay in touch with those who mean the most to you—and it’ll be there for you through life’s many distractions.
We all have those moments where we simply forget, are too busy, or struggle to find the right words to use to reach out to the important people in our lives, but you don’t have to let that stop you from staying in touch! With CommuniqAI, you can effortlessly keep in touch with your loved ones, family, friends, clients, customers, and even patients. Our AI-generated messages are conversationally aware, helping ensure that your texts are thoughtful and engaging, but messages of your choosing can also be used. In addition, our smart prompts can also remind you to call or email, so you never miss an opportunity to connect. Let CommuniqAI help you stay connected with the people who matter most!
Some people are against technology like this, but we believe that anything that helps you maintain connections with the important people in your life is, in the long run, a good thing. CommuniqAI, by default, will not take any action and largely act as a helpful reminder, and we recommend this type of use.

Uses AI-generated text messages that are conversationally aware or predefined recurring message templates
Notifications for upcoming messages (configurable)
Notifications are populated with your recent conversation history and favorite messages (favorites are currently available on Android 9 and later)
Complements your default SMS text messaging, call and email apps

You recently missed a call from them (configurable)
They recently sent a message and you didn’t reply (configurable)

Were in a call with them and didn’t end the period selected with a missed call
Android Material You design
Won’t repeat the last message sent
Upcoming messages can be easily edited, disabled, postponed, skipped or quickly changed to other frequently sent messages
Set a maximum number of messages per day, week, month or quarter
Supports multiple people (when upgraded)
Time zone aware (it’ll do the right thing regardless of where you are)
History of what communication actions were taken and why
Helpful Hints
Use shorter and more generalized messages—for example, a simple “Love you” or “What’s new?” is ideal.
Lots of varied messages and variations on similar messages tend to work best.
Disable messaging when you and your significant other are together—or select Not Today when notified. You can also schedule messaging to occur outside of the times you’re likely to be together.
Don’t wait for CommuniqAI! If you want to reach out to someone, let them know in the moment!
