Dear Community,
I have a demanding question
I wanted to install the Android N beta using the Charles method but it kept failing on me so i decided to unlock the bootloader and install Twrp and flash the update with great succes, then i rooted the device and did a hard factory reset now Twrp and Root are gone so is it safe to relock the bootloader again because i do not want to keep Root options or Twrp in the near future and just want to make the phone stock and official again so that i can receive future firmwares OTA! :good:
Let me explain
I got the Honor 8 FRD-L09 (European version) my latest stock Firmware was FRD-L09C432B131 i tried to update FRD-L09C432B131 to FRD-L09C432B320 via Charles method and via webserver but it kept failing on me, so then as a last resort i decided the only way left to install the FRD-L09C432B320 (Official Android N Firmware) was via TWRP so i then unlocked my bootloader installed TWRP and via TWRP i flashed the official FRD-L09C432B320 Update.zip, after that i did a full hard recovery so TWRP and Root would be removed, so now i'm asking are there any traces of root or twrp left on the device and am i safe to relock the bootloader again since i'm pretty much stock now, this because i only unlocked the bootloader because i wanted to try the firmware so i do not need any root or twrp etc anymore!
Because i want to be extra save i sincerely hope what i wrote above is detailed enough and understandable.
Thanks in Advance!
i have 1 answer , since u unlock there is no way to go back . unlocking code have been changed from code 0 to code 1 and since y go back to stok and relock the code will change from code 1 to code 3 or code 2 .
U R Now on stock and there is no root or any , so if u need to have ur phone back on warranty it depend on ur service center location ( some huawei allowed the unlocking under warranty and some not ) MEA ins allowed excep qatar and oman ( Europe i have no idea ) u have to check with service center in ur region !
so now u have stock not rooted phone with beta N . but u have unlocked Device .
relock bootloader
I have the same problem on my FRD-L04.
I unlocked the bootloader with SRK Tool. Installed EMUI 5.0 - NRD90M test keys ROM.
I can not relock bootloader. Tried SRK , MultiTool.
On my phone OEM unlocking button is on , but I can not set it on / off.
Please help.
maybe this helps
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64227910&postcount=8
extract the .imgs from the beta
no re locking !
So when relocking then the phone will brick or? now is there any other way to get rid of the boot message?
your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted
Any ways on removing this message? basically now that means i can never sell the phone :/ because a buyer will get scared of that message
I found a way to relock the bootloader once again thanks to Harthouse!
First you need to downgrade back to Firmware L09C432B131
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1276/g104/v63548/f1/full/update.zip
first make folder "dload" on root of micro sd card with "update.app" in it and turn off the phone. When phone is off, press volume up & down - together and then press power button, all three buttons must be pressed. When phone is powered on, release all buttons and wait to process of downgrade finish.
2. After reboot of B131 fw,
- If you got "type password to decrypt storage" message, press volume up and power together to go to recovery. In recovery, wipe data/factory reset (2nd option).
Wait for the phone to reboot, after that "the your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" message will be gone and your phone is back to stock!
now if you want to upgrade to Android N use charles method and use Cvkef server!
1. Make sure you are not using the "Throttling" in Charles. If so, go on and deselect the button with turtle icon.
2. It will be fairly slow to complete downloading the files. (I think it will be somewhere around 30-40 minutes, so be patient)
3. It will be online unless the server bandwidth is exceeded
4. It will be online until Huawei requests otherwise or send me a lawsuit
5. It will not be online for too long
6. Use this server response!

Downgrade to MM and then install Nougat again.
I don't get why people flash different carrier/model versions of Nougat and make this mess.
If you can't properly follow the guide, then don't even try to do it.

For an easy way to unlock & root your X2 here are the steps you need to take. This has been requested by a number of you so here it goes:
1) Unlock your bootloader. There are three steps you can take. The first two are free. The third method requires you to pay a few dollars but it works and is the fastest way. I would highly recommended this method. This is confirmed working on all models.
Option 1: Send an email to [email protected] Email them the following. They usually email you back and tell you to do option 2 or never email you back:
Hello. I keep getting an error when trying to unlock my phone on the unlock page.
Model: GEM-703L (Or whatever model you have)
Serial: Put in your phones serial number here. (You get this in About phone, Status)
IMEI: Put in your phones IMEI number here. (You get this in About phone, Status, it's IMEI1)
Product ID: (Go into your phone dialer and dial *#*#1357946#*#* and it will give you your Product ID)
Thank you for your help
(Your name here)
Option 2: Make a Huawei ID on your phone and stay signed in for 14 days and then go online to unlock your bootloader and it should work on the website.
Option 3: If you want to unlock your phone immediately and don't mind paying a few dollars this is the best and easiest way. Thanks to kpcheang2 for the original information. Visit here:
https://www.dc-unlocker.com/how-to-read-huawei-bootloader-unlock-code
- Download the DC Unlocker Software
- On their site buy 4 credits. https://www.dc-unlocker.com/buy I used PayPal. It cost me around $4.38 USD.
- Follow the instructions in their tutorial. Make sure you put the phone in Manufacture Mode. Choose "Read Bootloader Code" in DC-Unlocker to get your bootloader code.
- Put your phone in bootloader mode (plug into the computer and hold in power and volume down with the phone off) and do a fastboot oem unlock xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx where x is your bootloader unlock code the DC Unlocker program gave you.
2) Download TWRP recovery from here if you're already on Android 5.1.1
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862716585
2b) Download this TWRP if you're on Android 5.0 (Now in English!)
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767151055
Put your phone into Bootloader Mode and fastboot flash the TWRP recovery file you downloaded. (extract the img file from the rar file first) I'm not gonna go over how to use Fastboot here as there are many guides on many different websites on how to use it. Then do a fastboot reboot. When your phone reboots shut it back down and then hold in volume up and power until it turns on and keep holding in volume up until the phone boots into TWRP recovery.
3) Root your phone.
In TWRP flash SuperSU:
After flashing, reboot your phone and you will be rooted. If you want to manually upgrade to a specific Huawei build or flash back to stock, flash one of my modded Kangvip ROMS or visit bark1234's or eenapps thread for the downloads and instructions. Thanks to bark1234 and eennap for their threads and downloads.
Still nothing
So I've been trying to root since I was able to unlock my bootloader, which I was able to do from the website method.
I could not get adb to work with the other method listed on here.
Now with fastboot, my device is identified per the fastboot devices
I am able to run command fastboot flash recovery twrp_cn.img and it looks successful
so I restart and shut down
hold vol up and power and it vibrates and restarts and vibrates and restarts.....
I go back and flash the default recovey and am able to access this with the vol up and power, but cannot get to the twrp recovery. I have tried flashing a couple of versions and no custom recovery can I boot to.
Any help would be appreciated.

What model are you using? Also, what are you on, B106? When you boot into TWRP, I'm sure you already know this but make sure there is no cable plugged into the phone. Mine vibrates once after installing TWRP but I remain holding in volume up and it boots into TWRP the second time.

I don't know why they aren't responding to you. I'm starting to worry that when my new X2 comes (I ordered a second one) they won't respond to me either. I'm sure there will be a workaround.
I've been e-mailing them for almost two months and I haven't received one reply from them. I have the 703L and I've tried their website over and over with Google Translate's help. I always get the same error about the log books not being older than 14 days. I just can't get anywhere with Huawei and it's super frustrating that they don't support the U.S. that well.
What I did
Just signed up for the huawei cloud service. And after 14 days I was able to get the unlock code. Worked first time after trying the email way and waiting.

I went to this page with chrome http://www.emui.com/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail and let it translate for me. It took mrme to a login page and I bit the bullet and signed up. 14 days later I got my unlock code from the same page.

Does anyone know if these instructions would work on the Mediapad M2? They both use the same SoC and the display resolution is the same, though the M2 is 8" and the X2 is 7". The M2 ships with Lollipop 5.1 instead of 5.0, but I don't know if that makes any difference here.

DC Unlocker should work to unlock your bootloader but I'm not sure about everything else. I would imagine if you could find a build of TWRP for the M2 you can use the root method in the OP and it should work.

I have been trying to look, but I have yet to find TWRP for M2. I guess it's just too new yet and/or not popular enough to have garnered much support from the community. Thanks anyways, I'll just proceed with unlocking the bootloader for now.
So after unlocking bootloader correctly, i receive this message each time i boot.
"your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted", and then the device boots normally after.
I have now flashed TWRP via fastboot, booted into recovery, wiped, and flashed KangVIP Slim.
I still see that same message each time i reboot. Is it normal, and if so, is there a way to get rid of it?
We all had the same message after unlocking bootloader.... It is normal and can't be removed as far as I know...
If you relock the bootloader it disappears.
I get the same message. It goes to huawei erecovery though I have tried installing twrp through fastboot. I get a message saying "okay" but still goes to huawei recovery. Any idea?

eRecovery is there for a reason and will not be overwritten by TWRP. If you want to boot into TWRP (and you are certain that you flashed it successfully), your phone must be switched off altogether. Then press "vol up" and after that "power". Release the power switch after the screen comes on but keep the volume key pressed until TWRP appears.
That should do the trick (I hope )
either that or download flashify from the playstore and choose to reboot into recovery

Or simply press up plus down as only down does not work (reliably / here). I always end up in the E-rec.

Failed attempt to downgrade from B330 to B211:
Model: L29C636B330
- Got to eRecovery, but wifi can't find anything
- put B330 on SD card dload but 3-button reset only bring me to a EMUI menu with Reboot, Wipe data and Wipe Cache options. Cache wipe could finish (seemingly), wipe data would quit midway, sometimes in a couple of seconds, sometime longer. EMUI logo turns to red exclamation mark
- fastboot works... however, phone is locked (I suppose that means bootloader locked?) therefore, fastboot flash is not working. adb push file - device not responding.
This phone is all stock with no prior rooting/bootloader unlock. Except for using FF to get to B330 - to be fair, B330 worked fine.
I did not bother to get the paid unlock code (should I?), as from I what I read, it probably won't oem unlock because I did not have the dev option enabled prior, and I can't seem to wipe the device either.
Pardon my repost while this thread is still fresh... https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3563299 because I have not messed with 3rd party tools yet and I want to make sure people can respond to my case specifically. Though it is worth noting perhaps that this could be caused by B330?

Since you are still in bootloader locked. You might try to ask huawei service center to make your phone functional again. That if you bought your phone at your region. Or else request bootloader code via huawei website.

What code Read my original post. I had no intention to mess with custom OS so I never unlocked my bootloader. For the record, I used to build my own kernel and mess with custom OSs all year long, but as Android matures I don't see much of that need anymore.
You do have a point though, I trusted Huawei too much. Should have obtained the code ahead of time regardless.
Hi,
I have a single sim MATE 9 MHA-L09
I was on NRD90M Test Keys Built, so wanted to flash stock firmware
so in order to get stock tried changing OEM info to c432(my previous built) using HWOTA (Update.bat)
i don't know what went wrong, on computer it says SUCCESS but checked it in HUAWEI MULTI TOOL
it shows
Found Phone : MHA-L09
Model : Huawei phone in fastboot mode
Serial NR. : UGM0217216001969
Firmware : NRD90M test-keys
Now am unable to recover using dload( Gives error at 5% )
No luck using HuaweiUpdateExtracter and HuaweiMultiTool as it ask to unlock my bootloader
Don't want to use FUNKYHUAWEI as it charges money and does not guarantee UNBRICK.
Phone is stuck on erecovery which shows update using wifi but doesn't detect anything end up with reboot and shutdown.
IS there any way i could be able to get product id so that i can unlock bootloader and proceed with flashing?
Any other way to recover my phone?
need help plz...... step by step........ :crying::crying::crying::crying:
Any help would be much appreciated
Thank You in advance.

If you are sure about whether your partitions are set up for Android N or Android O and use the correct update.app file, FHUnbrickFlashTool will get it booting again for you. The lack of guarantee is because a percentage of people use the wrong update.app file, and destroy their phones in the process.
If you rebrand you need to flash firmware twice in HWOTA. First select "rebrand", after this you need to unlock bootloader again and run HWOTA, but select "same brand update".

You can use this tool: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/help/how-to-product-id-bricked-p9-t3561156
Direct link to tool: http://rootjunkysdl.com/files/?dir=Huawei P8 Lite (Download Huawei Product ID Generator.exe)
Follow instructions in first link. I have tested and it generates a valid Product ID, I even tested on huaweis site to get my unlock code (which matches the one I get using my own Product ID)
Just make sure you follow instructions.
Edit: To get serial no, just boot to fastboot and use cmd to enter command fastboot devices
the number to the left is your serial no.
In my case:
C:\Windows\System32>fastboot devices
AHK0217111000149 fastboot
AHK0217111000149 is my serial no.
Edit 2: Oh, you had serial no already. I'll leave it in case anyone else finds this.

Are you selecting Huawei Y300-0100 in the generator? It doesn't work with any other model. And then you have to select "before emui 5" on the emui website and select phone as Y300-0100.
And try both IMEI.
If youre willing you could PM me your IMEI later and I'll try. I'm at work but home in about 6-7 hours.
If CMD states ur bootloader is already unlocked, u could be flashing to the wrong partition.. Are u using android N or O. Android O uses the updated twrp version so u will need to flash that version to the correct partition then u be able to boot to twrp and load ur OS

I've experienced it saying it's unlocked, but it's actually not. Have to fastboot oem relock xxxxxx
Then fastboot oem unlock xxxxxx
Xxxxx= password.
But one would need their unlock code for this.

Hmm. That's the one I tried from your other thread. Do you still have the mate 9 box? Could you check Serial number on it?
I read somewhere that the serial number fastboot shows might not always be correct.

you have to get into TWRP , make a back up of the OEM infos (on ur sdcard) then download the correct c432 oem infos , copy then to replace previous saved oem from twrp you ve done earlier ... then run htwoa and - if not enough - do the way as suggested by Ante0 (twice hwota / change brand for 432 then same brand)

That screen is a NAG screen, a popup screen during boot that shows up when your device have an unlocked bootloader, but you have nothing to worry. It doesn't mean nothing if not that you're phone is now unlocked. This suggests that when you did the update through Firmware Finder, you've accidentally unlocked the bootloader too.
Actually the NAG screen isn't removable; to make it disappear, you'll need to relock the bootloader. To do this, you need to obtain your code to relock the bootloader with the use of it. To obtain the code, follow steps listed here https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/how-to/how-to-unlock-bootloader-honor-6x-t3535321 and when you'll have the code, type in ADB "fastboot oem relock *your 16 digits code*". Be careful - this process will your erase all your phone data as a factory reset, so you want to take a copy of everything you could need.
Or, you could dload a firmware through 3 hardware buttons to automatically relock the bootloader.

That what? Anyway the NAG screen doesn't mean that you won't receive normal OTA, you'll keep receiving them and as long as you won't be rooted or with TWRP, you'll be able to install them correctly.
