Gear s3 frontier - Samsung Gear S3

Hello I just picked up a gear s3 frontier and am trying to get it to work on my note 3 with cm14 installed I've tried all of the previous fixes for the s2 and the closest I can get is gear trying to connect but stuck in a Bluetooth pair loop I'm assuming that this is caused by the out dated gear version. I've also tried the play store version but get the modified operating system error. I'm hoping you guys can point me in the right direction. Any help is appreciated.

Samsung Gear 2 can't be connect/pair to Samsung Tab S2

Hi All,
I recently just purchased a Samsung Tab S2 SM-T715Y(which I had sold off my Samsung TAB S 8.4 LTE SMT-705).
Now I can't Connect or pair my samsung Gear 2 (with camera) with my Samsung Tab S2. I did tried few versions of samsung gear apk, but however they all doesnt work.
The error message just keep popping up " Check if your phone is compatible and if the Samsung Gear app needs to be updated. Then try again."
Please Help!! I sign up this forum and I would hope anyone who knows what to do.. Please please let me know!

Same deal here with a Galaxy Tab S 8.4 (TM705). Tried the newest Samsung Gear Manager from the Galaxy Apps. The Samsung Gear installs fine but when I want to pair with the newly factory reset Gear S2 it says after a while that the device would be incompatible. The Gear S2 says "Setting up... " after accepting the bluetooth passkey. It works fine with a Samsung S5 Mini though. Both devices are on Android 5.0.4. I also tried changing the build.prop as described in different forums to get different phones to connect to former Gears but it did not help. Is there a trick to solve this?

Verizon Note 5 not detected on Gear VR

Hi guys, not sure if I've posted in the right place.
I have a N920V which I imported from the USA (living in the UK). I bought a Gear VR here hoping that it would work, but when I connect the phone to the Gear VR, it doesnt detect it.
Any ideas as to why?
I am currently still running stock 5.1.1
Any help would be appreciated.

There was an update after launch of the phone that added the Gear VR capability. If you took it off network before it got that update you won't have the required files.

Issues with Note 7 and Samsung Pay for Gear

Got my note 7 today, and went to setup Samsung pay on my gear s2.. it seems like there is a version of the tpk preinstalled that does not get updated when installing the gear s2 Samsung pay app, so when you go to use Samsung pay on the gear s2 it constantly tells you that it needs to update ... hoping it's fixed soon, tried resetting the gear we didn't work
I assume you have the non 3g version of the s2, correct? I have the 3g version but am not able to use Samsung Pay on it yet.

Same issue here. Using At&t note 7 android ver 6.0.1 and the gear s2 classic (non 3g) samsung pay throws an app error.
Error Product does not exist in this store (2316:4004).
This error can be replicated by holding the back key on the gear s2. Samsung pay will prompt you to look at your mobile device and a video begins to play on it. During the video "Update Samsung Pay" appears. When you update it the error is thrown.

Yes, using Wi-Fi variant it was working fine on my s7 edge, not working at all on note 7, just keeps asking me to update. When you look at installed applications on the gear it shows Samsung pay twice, so my best guess is that one is up to date and the other is not, when you go to use it, it's probably checking version on the non updated TPK, then forwards you to the update and says you are already up to date because of the updated version. The solution is most likely to get rid of the old version, but it is not uninstallable

I had this problem as well. I'm on Verizon with Galaxy Note 7 and have a non-3g Bluetooth only classic gear S2. I just opened pay on my watch a few minutes ago, it opened the app on the phone, got the usual update message, so I hit update as I have tried every day since I got the phone last Thursday, and to my surprise, it actually worked this morning. :good: After it was updated, I closed the app on the phone, and re-initiated pay on my watch, and the app on the phone opened and the "Start" option was finally there, and I was able to add my card details. So now the trick will be to see if the pay actually works whenever I try to make a purchase.

Transferring watch face - Gear S2 to Gear S3

I searched and didn't see anything on this. My favorite watch faces on my Gear S2 Classic aren't available anymore in the Galaxy App store. Unfortunately, the Samsung account I bought them under got accidentally deleted (and I lost all my Samsung Pay reward points, too).
The faces still back up to my S2 under my new account, but when I use that backup to restore the S3, the particular ones I want don't load. I contacted the dev and offered to buy them again, bet he said he could not help.
Is there any way to get these faces from the S2, and put them on the S3? Thanks for any help.

Gear S3 Classic

Does anyone have the most recent firmware for the Gear S3 Classic? I'd like to reflash the firmware.
I am looking for it too in hopes if I reflash it, it will make my sensors work again
