Hello guys,
I need help to go back to stock rom on my FRD-L04.
I unlocked bootloader with SRK Tool , upgrade to EMUI 5.0 - NRD90M - test keys ROM,.
Now I can not relock bootloader, or install stock ROM.
Please help.
use huawei update finder by team mt and follow the multitool instructions to relock bootloader
unlocking the phone will void the warranty ( check with customer service about that cause some country's have different lows . but even re-locking will keep the device void !

how to downgrade and what is the unlock boot loader ?
and when i bought phone what is the default ? that boot loader is locked ?
You may be able to use the Panasonic Eluga software to downgrade to lp.
You must unlock the bootloader to install twrp and cm.
Some info here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/idol-3/development/tool-tools-idol-3-5-5-4-7-t3441781
When flashing anything to any phone, things can go wrong; therefore, I suggest that you familiarize yourself with flashing and be ready in case of disaster.

You can't flash twrp unless the bootloader is unlocked. The bootloader cannot be unlocked on MM, only LP.

Is there any way to completely reset your Honor 8?
I unlocked bootloader with code from huawei, rooted, twrp etc.
Is there any way to completely restore it to factory default?
I tried unrooting it and locked the bootloader using the tool here on the forum. But the warning is still there when you booted, that its been tampered with and is unsafe etc.
Is there no way to completely factory reset it, like it was when it was new?

If u have L09 u should flash stock recovery and then flash stock full firmware B101 and the bootloader should be locked and warning should be gone.
I guess there is an internal counter that is tripped when bootloader is unlocked. Like Samsung's Knox.
I have L04, after updating manually root was wiped and stock recovery installed but was still getting bootloader warning. I booted into stock "erecovery" by holding volume up while booting. From there i restored stock firmware and when rebooted warning was gone. So I am now stock without unlocked warning on boot, YAY!
I unlocked my bootloader and then installed the B131 full update. Afterwards my bootloader was locked again and i had it to unlock again.
-> If you want to completely reset, install a full update and do a factory reset
@whiper: after the bootloader was locked and you unlock again, did the phone a factory reset?

Yes. The unlocking process was the same after the update as before including factory reset.
I think the B131 update includes all partitions so that the unlock flag is overwritten.
After the update all was normal, no data wipe, but bootloader locked. I had to unlock it again and all data was wiped.
When i do the next update i will try an ota version.
(With my Honor 7 i did a full update which does not lock the bootloader, so i think it depends from the partitions the update contains)
Guys, just to make it clear. I have a L04 model. i am bootloader unlocked, rooted and have TWRP installed. Is it possible to relock and go back to stock, but simply flashing the stock L04 firmware? Does Honor 8 have some inbuilt trip to notify that the bootloader is unlocked?

Yes. Just flash the whole firmware using fastboot.
Sent from my honor 5X using XDA Labs
Hi All, I currently have an Honor 8 that was previously bootloader unlocked and rooted with TWRP installed on EMUI 4. After I updated to EMUI 5 and Android 7.0, my bootloader was relocked, even though it says my phone is unlocked and untrusted when I turn it on, and I cannot install or access TWRP. I would like to completely reset my phone and reinstall the OS with the recent update, but I have no idea how. How can I do this?
Thanks!

Hi, your bootloader is still unlocked but after instal EMUI5 was reflashed recovery from stock firmware. If you want reinstall / reset your phone and relock bootloader, you must do rollback to MM and after this will be your bootloader relocked. Another way is manually relock, bootloader via fastboot. On my opinion the first way (downgrade to MM) is better for you

I'm sorry, I have no idea what you're saying. What is mm?

So you're saying if I were to roll back to marshmallow, my bootloader would be relocked and my phone wouldn't be so broken. And then I would directly update to the new version of android? If so, how would I do that? Thanks!

There's a difference between lock and relock.
Relock will say 're-locked' in the bootloader, and that's probably voiding warranty.
You can get it to say 'locked' by flashing official firmware, you have a few options here...
1. Firmware Finder
2. Flash update guide
3. Dload method (only for C636B136 and AL00C00B115)
4. FunkyHuawei (paid)
5. Dc unlocked (i think anyway, and paid)

No. When you flash stock firmware everything is back to stock. If there was a way to flash a modified update.zip with Twrp as recovery instead of stock recovery it would be possible. But as far as I know we can't yet. I've tried to repack using Huawei Update extractor but it doesn't want to, header mismatch. (this is on all extracted files, not just twrp)
The only reason to get locked bootloader would be if you needed to return the phone because of a software error. If it's hardware it should be replaced anyway.

Yep. Flashing stock firmware will do that.
You won't get rid of emui though. We don't have AOSP so emui is always there...

sorry for my bad thing. But can i ask you help me this case:
i have Mate 9 Pro LON-L29C636C361 (lastest Oreo ) , but my bootloader is unlocked, and maybe not have stock recovery .
So, which method can flash again full rom C361 (3 file : update.zip, data full, hw...etc) and complete back to stock with locked bootloader???
I read somewhere about method LON-HWOTA, but it fail when flash TWRP step, because i am on Oero, so this method can not use in this my case . Can you show me another way ?
to relock bootloader on Android 8 (MUI8), only works if you have your CORRECT oeminfo.bin. make sure you backup yours before rebranding
1. just flash TWRP
2. make folder folder HWOTA8 on SD card
3. Download HWOTA8 and copy "hwota8_rebrand" to SDcard
4. Copy your oeminfo.bin file to HWOTA8 folder.. Make sure to rename your file to oeminfo.bin
5. Boot into TWRP and install from SDcard hwota8_rebrand
Done bootloader relocked
I managed to unlock Bootloader and root phone on emui 9.
Now i want to know if there is a chance that someone compiles twrp for ele l29 device.
Also my question how to update and keep root and bootloader unlocked?
hi
how can I do same for root P30 in chance to recovery photos on internal memory after factory reset due to forgot graphical key?
