Hi
When I get my S3, will I be able to go back and forth between my S2 Classic and my new S3 Frontier? Will my S7 Edge let me do that? Sometimes I will want to wear the S2 and other times the S3.
TIA
Yes. I own an S2 and S3 frontier. The gear app holds both profiles. All you have to do is turn whichever watch on and select the profile. Only problem that I have is that when I switch back to my S3 my Samsung Pay has to be set up all over again. That needs to be fixed but other than that it works like a charm.

Thanks for that! Just had an email from Amazon that they should be shipping my Frontier next week. I don't suppose step counting etc knows it's the same person and cumulates my activities across both watches? Or do I end up with two activity profiles, one for each watch?
TIA.
Your step record is attached to you Samsung account, so it should be transferable from one watch to another. Just remember to sync them

I am loving my Note 10.1 so far. I use an Att S3 daily and was wondering if there is any way for the two to hook up maybe to send texts from my S3 using the Note.
I paired them using bluetooth and so far as I can see, it does not do a whole lot. I have a voice and data SIM in my S3 and a Data SIM in the Note 10.1. I have been switching SIM's back and forth, but there has got to be a way to get them to work togther?
I kind of remember hearing about a companion app from Samsung. I have yet to find anything though. Any ideas?

I've heard an app called "Tablet Talk" works very well for syncing and sending texts over bluetooth or wifi.
I don't know exactly what it does but have you proved the Allshare Cast app?

I've read that there was an update to the software for the gear s2. Was there an update to the gear s2 3g? I specifically have a verizon version of the 3g and i have not received any recent updates to the watch (i believe there was one a while back, but I do not have the latest updates that have been discussed for the classic and bluetooth sport versions of this watch.
Thank you!
I, too, am waiting for an update for my AT&T S2 3G. Because ours are carrier-specific, it seems to take longer for the updates, just like for carrier-branded phones. ?

I figured... though i don't see anything verizon specific on my watch the way I do on my phone.
I had one yesterday for my ATT one. It finally gives Numbersync as well as some battery enhancement and something else I forget. I was super happy to finally have Numbersync though. That completed this watch for me. (Well, that and then when Samsung pay works with the watch.)

Yes, I got that one too. But it's different from the one the other S2 models received. Their update gives more Setting options which I want on my S2 3G as well such as screen timeout.

HI all
I am using my gear S2 with Moto X pure edition. Everything works except that when some one calls, I can see a reject option on gear S2 but cannot see a accept call. I tried with a Samsung phone and it works. Anyone having any workaround for this.
For the past week I have noticed a strange thing on my S2, in when I try to take an HR (Heart Rate) reading in which the app and Widget have disappeared!
If I restart the S2, then everything is back to normal, I have a Galaxy Note 4 (T-Mobile) with an SM-R730T T-Mobile S2 smartwatch.
I have also noticed in when I go to the Samsung Gear app Store in that it's not on the applications list viewed on the Galaxy Note 4?
Anyone see this happen before?, I've searched the Threads hoping to find a similar problem... but no.
If I can't figure this out I will just do a Hard Reset on both Galaxy Note 4 & S2...
But would prefer to identify this problem with a reason beforehand in especially if it becomes seen again with other users?
Verizon offered me a $100 off code for the gear S3. So I'd be able to get it off contract for $300 before fees. I already have the gear S3 with only wifi. Should I consider it? I'm really curious as to whether anyone has tried using it as a standalone device and if it is really practical.

It should work fine only thing you'll have to worry about is updates. I have the WiFi gear s3 classic so I only have to wait for samsung to release an update to the US while on carrier you probably have to wait for them to send out the update. Of there than that every thing else should work fine

Except S voice doesn't work like it should after it's last update which I think has been about two months ago.

S voice hasn't worked properly since launch for a lot of people so that's not a problem. I have problems with my Galaxy s5 too

I just bought the watch yesterday and S Voice was functioning just fine. Then I took a software update and it killed half the functionality. I can't reply to text messages with S voice unless I change my language to English UK. Then Everytime she talks to me she has an accent. There's a thread that many others have shared the same exact issue. I'm going to be returning mine. I love it except for S voice.

Yeah in my opinion s voice was going to be crappy from before the watch got launched. S voice in general is crap. It needs to updated to Bixby in the future hopefully that will help if not then a different voice system
