Whatsapp notifications don't turn on the screen - Samsung Gear S3

Hi everybody,
I'm Alex from Italy: I just bught the new Gear S3 one week ago and I love it. There's just a thing I don't understand and it's about notifications: in the gear app on my note 5 I turned on notifications from whatsapp and tuned on the option to swich on the screen for every notification.
Unfortunately this doesn't happen with whatsapp messages: the watch vibrates for every single notification but the screen remain black until i press a key or I make the gesture with the wrist.
Are you experiencing similar behaviours? This happens to me just for whattsapp, not for other app (mail, calendar, ecc....).
My note 5 is rooted with a stock rom, nova and tesla unread installed.
Thanks for your suggestions
Alex

Notification for sms

When I get a new text and have unread texts my phone will repeatedly play the notification sound as many times as there are unread texts. I am running evolvesms, smart launcher pro 3, on android 5.0.1. Default notifications are turned off. how do i change this to only alert me to the most recent text?!

Click to collapse
Go into settings->accessibility and make that notification reminder is turned off.

Dismiss Phone Notifications on Watch

I just picked up the AT&T version today. If I read, delete, or dismiss a notification on my watch (in this case SMS) it does NOT dismiss the notification on my phone. I'm using a Note 5.
Is this normal, a bug, or am I not seeing a setting? Thanks.

I edited out my long confusing post. Long story short, it was LightFlow conflicting with the Samsung SMS app. I switched to textra and I'm now able to respond to texts on the watch and clear the notification on the phone.
Thank you...I was having exactly the same problem and it was driving me crazy

default notifications? ie: Led and vibration?

what are the default notifications for this phone...coming from a S5 where it was long vibrate/blue led for gmail, short vibrate/green led for text, and double vibate/i think pink led for facebook
shouldnt it be the same on the note since its lollipop?
i could of sworn gmail did the long vibrate when i first set up the phone but now it does double vibrate and i keep thinking it's facebook...is there a way to change it without lightflow?
i tried making a custom vibrate patter in system settings but gmail still double vibration
thanks!
I'm too ADD to have noticed anything you mentioned above. I always thought all notifications are the same. Either you're real astute or you have way too much time on your hands lol.

No Notification on watch from Samsung Messages (SMS) app

I have been using the Samsung Messages (SMS) app on my Gear S3 with my Note 9 for years.
Suddenly, notifications sent to the watch from the app stopped.
I tried restarting both, cycling the notification button in the Wearable app and combinations of both actions.
No joy.
The Google SMS and Verizon SMS apps each send notifications to the watch.
The same thing happened at the same time on the Gear Sport that is also connected to my Note 9.
I'd rather not reset the watch, but understand that I may have to, but why only one app notification fail?
