Dismiss Phone Notifications on Watch - Samsung Gear S2

I just picked up the AT&T version today. If I read, delete, or dismiss a notification on my watch (in this case SMS) it does NOT dismiss the notification on my phone. I'm using a Note 5.
Is this normal, a bug, or am I not seeing a setting? Thanks.

I edited out my long confusing post. Long story short, it was LightFlow conflicting with the Samsung SMS app. I switched to textra and I'm now able to respond to texts on the watch and clear the notification on the phone.

Thank you...I was having exactly the same problem and it was driving me crazy

[Q] Wake up on notification

One thing that bugs me about the Captivate is that I frequently miss notifications while my phone is locked and set to vibrate (the vibrate is very weak for notifications). What I would like is a way to force the phone to "wake up" when any notification is received. By wake up, I mean for the screen to turn on for the default screen time out.
Is there any way of making this happen with an app or a mod? The NoLED app is a good idea but a battery drain... I'd prefer something than only turns on the screen for a minute when the notification is received.

Isn't that just for text messages? I would prefer something that works for all notifications including GMail and Google voice.
Try searching for mmf in the Market. It doesn't do the exact thing that what you want, but it will turn on the backlighting and flash the screen on/off when it receives sms, voice and gmail.

Thanks! That is a good start... if he adds GVoice support, it would be almost perfect.
EDIT - Did not realize you were the author! If there is a way to add GVoice support it would be awesome.
I've looked around, but couldn't find a method like they did with Gmail. I'll see if I can figure out indirectly watching GV's notification tones though.

Yeah I think the guy who wrote the NoLED app ran into similar issues with GV and other notifications... it not work in vibrate mode. Thanks for checking it out.
A blank/silent mp3 might work w/ vibrate... GV right now just doesn't seem to have a way of announcing that a new message is available like Gmail. I've put an updated version on the Market with notification tone monitoring. Seems to work fine with the limited testing I did with GVoice. It's disabled by default for now, so just toggle it on. hth

Hangouts SMS Notification not going away

Hey all, when I get an SMS with hangouts and I read it the notification doesnt go away. The only way to remove it is by swiping it away.
This can't be normal. How is everyone else behavior?
Yeah, good question! I'm having to keep swiping also! Plus, I miss the SMS unread count!

Same issue, switched to Handcent but can't use Lightfloe so going back.
I have the same issue. You have to go back into the home screen (list of all the people that you texted) of the hangouts app in order for the notification to get cleared. Really annoying...I installed Textra and am loving it so far.
This needs to have more attention brought to it. How could a messaging app miss such basic functionality that it can't clear its notification when a text is read but not swiped back to the main messages screen? It's really annoying having a persistent notification for a message I've already read.
Suffer the same problem myself.. have to hit the notification and go back into the messages screen to get it to clear..

[Q] Two-way notification dismiss

Hey all,
Just wondering if a 'two-way notification dismiss' option exists on the Gear 2? I also have a Pebble and there's a feature on the watch where if I check a notification on my phone (i.e. Note 3), the notification will dismiss itself on my Pebble as well and vice-versa.
It seems that on the Gear 2, if I check my notifications on my phone, it'll still show up on my Gear 2 until I 'delete' the notification from the notification list on the smartwatch.
Please let me know....thanks!
No way to dismiss a notification two way.

This is something they really need to work on.
Kind of annoying deleting the notifications on both devices.

I agree 100%. This was my first day with it and though I love the thing, I must say this is a little annoying. Also I have noticed that when reading one email as part of a notification, if a second email arrives, i cant read the second email, only the subject. This is through the k9 mail notification which I guess isnt fully supported. Teething problems with it I guess.

Persistent Notifications on Android Wear (to recall later)

Hello.
Moving from a Pebble Steel watch to an LG G Watch R, I am missing a few key items that is making me re-think about my LG and going back to the Pebble.
One of the most important, key functions I liked was how notifications were stored on the Pebble. Whether I received a text message, WhatsApp, FB message, etc, they remained on my Pebble until I cleared it's local history.
Why is that important? Example scenario: Wife sends me a text during my work day to buy some groceries. She also lists out in the text message the items I need to buy. After work, I arrive at the shop and with no need to pull the phone out, I just scroll down to the notification and read the text message sent earlier in the day from my Pebble.
But in Android Wear, notifications seem to disappear altogether when dismissed. Unless I'm missing something, is this true (that notifications cannot be recalled back later in the day)? I'd hate to return my LG G Watch R as I do like other aspects to it, but the Pebble Steel still represents the most compelling smartwatch proposition by providing functionality I actually need and use.
Thanks in advance for your help!
The persistent notifications will be present in Android wear lollipop...
Just swipe down the notification which you want to recall... Swiping right removes it... Swiping down hides it

Are you talking about the undo dismiss feature?
I've also had several incidents of incoming texts consolidating hangouts messages. When that happens, I can no longer reply to individual messages.
khyasad - For this case, if you share a list in google keep, your wife can edit a shopping list. It's even more handy than reading a text, as you can check off items as you get them.

default notifications? ie: Led and vibration?

what are the default notifications for this phone...coming from a S5 where it was long vibrate/blue led for gmail, short vibrate/green led for text, and double vibate/i think pink led for facebook
shouldnt it be the same on the note since its lollipop?
i could of sworn gmail did the long vibrate when i first set up the phone but now it does double vibrate and i keep thinking it's facebook...is there a way to change it without lightflow?
i tried making a custom vibrate patter in system settings but gmail still double vibration
thanks!
I'm too ADD to have noticed anything you mentioned above. I always thought all notifications are the same. Either you're real astute or you have way too much time on your hands lol.
