Hi!
I'd like to know how I can use Speach to text in China, even better would be if I could have a way to use google voice in China, without VPN because it's such a step back not being able to talk to my phone and have it write what I'm saying, it's so much faster than typing... and waiting for the VPN to work/turn on defeats the purpose of doing things conveniently.
Thanks for the people willing to help me find a solution!

Have anybody but me thought about having muliple user logons on an Android device?
I'm thinking with the Galaxy Tab and many similar devices to come it would be natural to share the device within the household. Naturally you wouldn't want others to log on to your facebook/msn/email etc.
Are there any projects aiming to do this? Would it be possible?
hey, I'm loosing it trying to find out the same for weeks now. Been trying to start a little project that would involve multiple users on a same device, somethink like the xp's guest user would be awesome...
can sameone at least tell me it's absolutely not possible, couse then I'd finish my search and try for something different, thx!
We just got a transformer tablet at work and we had to tie it to a public gmail account dedicated to this device but multiple users will need to use it and have it tied to their google apps account. This is a problem for us and the apps that 'divide' the tablet just cost too much for what they do. We have at least 4-5 people who would use it. This isn't a situation where we should just have a tablet for each employee. The scientific work we do requires so much equipment that it has to be shared and scheduled. The tablet is just another thing we have to pack up in the morning when we have field work on our project. Multi user android support is needed!
Hey guys,
Forgive me if this is not the proper forum location to post this.
I have a question about an android system information app. My company is looking at using a very locked down smartphone in the retail stores as a SIP phone over WiFi. Essentially these phones would only be good for wifi calling through our network. I have been able to lock the phone down pretty good but I am having a little bit of trouble finding an app that will monitor the phone and report statistics back to us (through a web browser or email). Basically we would need to remotely check the usage/stats but we don't really want to use something like airdroid or teamviewer as this would disrupt the users usage. Any ideas on a good app? I haven't been able to find anything and I know you guys are digital wizards..
Thanks in advance guys!
Hello all,
This is one of those questions that's weird to search for because I cannot find the right search terms. In some circles I might say that I am looking for feedback, but that leads to the wrong kind of answers. I want to be able to hear my own voice in my phone (especially through my bluetooth earbuds) while in a voice call. It would be a bonus if I could have this functionality in any other voice app like Skype.
This was common functionality on landline phones, but it is something that most mobiles (and my current rooted i537 Samsung S4 Active) lack. Being able to hear my own voice in my ears while on calls would keep me from yelling while talking, and everyone around me would appreciate that.
Does anyone know of an app or a hidden feature that would allow me to enable this functionality? It would be especially nice if I could modify the volume.
Thank you,
somoose
You are looking for "Delayed Auditory Feedback"
One app I found that allows you to set this during calls is DAF Professional. Its a paid app. They have a free version that allows a trial for 1 hour.
Maybe if you look for apps that support DAF in call you can find more options.

Thank you. This gives me a search phrase and lets me know that the basic functionality exists. Now to find an app can be configured to work only during phone calls and not during any other time. This is a great start - thanks!
Glad I could help! and good luck finding the right app!
HELP REQUIRE
I have installed Airdroid app on my kids Samsung s7 edge in order to use Airdroid Mirror feature to monitor activity. It was working very well. Since my child is tech savey and this discover the software and uninstalled from the phone. Now I don't have access to his phone anymore. Child is using Instagram Direct messaging service for chatting or doing annoying photos exchange. As child is tech savy they chat on instagram and delete chat messages immediately.
REQUIREMENT: I WANT TO MIRROR MY CHILD PHONE SCREEN WITH MY LAPTOP/MOBILE WITHOUT DISCOVERING THE APP (totally hidden)
Somebody suggest that a good android expert can modify firmware so that Airdriod icon will not be visible and this will also not shown under application list. Totally hidden or stealth.
Is any body can help to to develop this or alternately suggest any other solution to replicate kid mobile screen remotely to laptop/mobile. The phone is rooted and I can flush the stock firmware
I am ready to pay for it and deeply appropriate your response.
Thanks

There's probably a better way to educate your child to be safe and responsible on the internet than to spy on him/her without his/her knowledge. He/she has a right to privacy. I'm sure you wouldn't like it if someone constantly spied on you without your knowledge. And your child wouldn't like it either.
i understand the message but its a need for specific purpose
I could be wrong, but I doubt any of the dev's here would do anything like this. There are far too many risks associated with supporting such a request.

That's also true.
Hello,
I have to travel in November to china, i am from Italy.
I am reading a lot of articles on different sites about che great wall, vpn, etc.
Is there someone who can tell me what is the real situation. Do i need a VPN on my mobile?
Can i use whatsap to call my GF home when i am in china?
Second, i would like to know if it's reasonable to buy a chinese SIM and phone to have enough GB since italian vodafone gives me 20mb a day paying 6euro!
Total nonsense! If yes, can i apply a VPN on chinese phone, sim.
Sorry for all those questions I am not an expert about this.
Cheers!
Yes it will be smart for you to get a VPN. As many things are blocked in China like everything Google.

If someone could suggest me a phone to buy in china, that i can bring back home and have little problem?
As far as I know, if you use a Chinese SIM, a lot of apps such as Google, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Twitter will be blocked. If then, you will have to get a VPN in order to use these apps.
But if you use a non-Chinese sim, it seems that you will not be blocked by the GFW. This point needs someone who had taveled in China to verify.
