Hello all,
This is one of those questions that's weird to search for because I cannot find the right search terms. In some circles I might say that I am looking for feedback, but that leads to the wrong kind of answers. I want to be able to hear my own voice in my phone (especially through my bluetooth earbuds) while in a voice call. It would be a bonus if I could have this functionality in any other voice app like Skype.
This was common functionality on landline phones, but it is something that most mobiles (and my current rooted i537 Samsung S4 Active) lack. Being able to hear my own voice in my ears while on calls would keep me from yelling while talking, and everyone around me would appreciate that.
Does anyone know of an app or a hidden feature that would allow me to enable this functionality? It would be especially nice if I could modify the volume.
Thank you,
somoose
You are looking for "Delayed Auditory Feedback"
One app I found that allows you to set this during calls is DAF Professional. Its a paid app. They have a free version that allows a trial for 1 hour.
Maybe if you look for apps that support DAF in call you can find more options.

Thank you. This gives me a search phrase and lets me know that the basic functionality exists. Now to find an app can be configured to work only during phone calls and not during any other time. This is a great start - thanks!
Glad I could help! and good luck finding the right app!

Development thread for a software method to morph your voice during a phone call
The idea is to develop a software method which let's you morph your voice during a phone call. There are many ways to achieve this and I am amenable to suggestions.
Since I was not able to find any API which let's you configure the voice or the stream from the microphone or something similar I came up with the idea to write a driver for the microphone, which would give me the ability to change my voice directly within it, but after some research it was clear to me that it can't be that easy.
Updates:
05.05.2010 - Microphone driver solution died. Researching for a new way...
Windows Mobile doesn't seem to have any influence on the microphone during a phone call. Deeper research about the hardware of the phone is necessary (processors, DSP/MDSP,....).
HELP IS APPRECIATED AND ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME
I will update this thread as some news appear.
Please write your suggestions and your ideas directly as post in this thread.
Good idea !
good luck , i'll watch this thread

You've posted in a HD2 specific forum, but that one is specific to Windows Mobile software development.
Device specific
The reason why I posted it here is that I am going to develop the driver on this device (HD2 Leo) and because the only solution so far i figured out is developing a driver, which is device specific.
good idea, i have been after an app similar to the "i am t-pain" (autotune)app from iphone
please can you use autotune?
God speed to you good sir!

Fair enough, but surely it wouldn't be a device specific driver to do this? Never mind.
This will be great for extortions. The question is whether we can find a way to disgiuse the phone's ID and location (which can be found using cellular triangulation) otherwise we have achieved nothing here.
lol this would be a fun one... hopefully you can work some magic and create a special treat for us hd2 users

Autotune is an app for iphone, which obviously can't help us here.
In addition autotune doesn't morph your voice during a phone call.
The main problem here is not the morphing itself (such apps already exist for WinMo), but the fact that it needs to be done while you make an active call.

Live morphing during a active phone call would be nice..
There is a software name Voice Twister for Windows mobile which can do live morphing but not during active phone calls..

We have a serious man here.
I saw that application on Iphone that allows you to call another mobile phone and see its location .
Is there such a program for WM ?
Thanks
have a look at 'remotetracker' though it works by txt, not call. Brilliant, none the less.
I am going to check it right now.
many thanks
Not quite sure if this is exactly what you are looking for, but check this XDA thread. These apps have similar features to Remote Tracker.

Hi Devs,
This one is for you:
After having had some time with Mango on my HD2 to test and discuss with my wife, we decided to buy her a Mozart and upgrade it to Mango.
Only after doing so, we discovered, that music cannot be set as Ringtone. Please, do not tell me tales of all the little helpers used to create ringtones and sync them via zune etc.
I also have already found a nice App (easyRing) on the market, which lets one grab plenty of tones from the amazon mp3-preview store and set them as ringtones. nice idea actually.
But we are looking for an App, that offers the following 2 basic features:
- Pick a song from the Library on the phone, clip down to 39 or less seconds.
- Save as Ringtone/Set as Ringtone (actually this is two features, the first being a native mango command for Apps).
Anyone interested in developing this?
That'd be THE KILLER.
Actually i totally underestimated this feature. I never ever thought that this could actually be a buy/not decisive. My wife wants to get rid of the phone fast no matter what. the only way making her keep this is to have this feature available. She actually likes the OS. Weird, isn't it?
So, what's keeping you? Off you go kids!
The phones music library isn't accessible by third party apps so it's not possible right now.

Snickler actually is working on this already. His app r1ng3d is out for a while and has the features you find in easyRing. He is currently working on
Soon v1.2
* Localized strings.. I need translations for different languages. PM me.
* Ringtone creation on device (I freaking hope!)

wow. I have seen that app of Snickler but i didn't notice how close it came to my request.
Am gonna go check it out now. Thanks for pointing that out.
@Ren13B
And the library is not accessible by third-party apps? This is why? Where did you get this information from?
I am aware of this new command for Mango-Builds, "save as ringtone", as some MS Person pointed that out in a blog. Why shouldn't there be a way to access a song and apply that function onto it (i wonder).
[EDIT]
Since i have talked to Snickler and found out that he is working on just THAT feature i consider this threads purpose being served. unfortunately i haven't checked Snicklers R1ing3d before. Could have spared this thread.
So this just is a jumper to the mentioned thread. People looking for this function finding my Thread may want to go there. Have fun. Thanks for dropping by
Hi I am a total noob and petrified not to insult anyone after having watched your video!!
Anyway I did search for the solution I am looking for and something called Tasker is the closest I could find(which seems rather involved).
I am wondering if there is an App. for Andoid smartphones which enables you to record a series of actions (like open wifi when activatating an App, do certain things in that App. and Email a file etc.), and then create an icon to go with this (macro of recorded actions).
Hope I did not offend you guys too much.
I would greatly appreciate any input.
Thanks
Hi guys,
I recently started a new job which will require me to receive calls from many different people. Each of these will be from a different company and I will have talked to them about a specific product or a specific application/problem they had.
So I was wondering if there is an app that allows me to add info for each contact so that when I receive a call from John, there is a pop-up or a string that tells me who John is and what he might want from me.
Hope that's clear!
Thanks in advance, looking forward to your answers!
Mario
Something either as a phone app or a pop-up that can show notes on a contact, maybe recent interactions, subjects, etc.
I have heard of an app that does this but I don't remember what it was called. It was meant for business interactions with clients. If I find it I'll update my post.
Edit:
I believe what you want might be a CRM app, what a quick search found was a few that may match your needs.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nimble.client
Or possibly
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.netmine.rolo.crm
I haven't used either one but it gives you an idea of where to look possibly if these aren't for you.
Hope it helps!

That's exactly what I was looking for! I had no idea it was called CRM! Thanks a lot! I'll try these two, if I find anything better I'll update it for future reference!
If anyone else has anything similar to reccomend, I'd gladly check it out!
