So, my fingerprint decided to stop working suddenly. It doesn't even work at all. i just get this message:
"An error has occurred with the fingerprint sensor. If this message appears repeatedly, restart your device."
What i have tried:
- Factory reset
- Reflash rom
- Flash different kernel
But none of this have solved it. I hope that someone knows how to fix this.
Thanks in advance

Hmm this is more and more looking like a hardware issue with the sensor

I tried to do factory reset, reinstall stock ROM, and problem keeps repeating. I turn off option for installing from unknown sources and after a short while it turns on by itself. Tried to scan with Avast and Malwarebytes and it finds nothing. Some apps at first installed by them self and i managed to delete them.
I also have a problem with launcher3...when I restart my phone it displays msg launcher3 has stop working and when i click OK it continues to work like nothing is wrong.
Please anyone help I don't know what else to do. TY

I have exactly the opposite:
I turn On Unknown Sources . . and shortly after they are turned off again!
It's annoying I cannot leave it on.

Hello,
Im trying to remove the encryption on my Xperia XZ but it doesn't seem to go away.
Even when i factory reset the phone and skip all steps of the setup process, it's still encrypted.
Anybody knows what I can do? a little help is well appreciated.
Also my camera doesn't work anymore, it's just giving me the error "camera is being used by another application" ,
I tried resetting the app, wiping cache and wiping data. No results there.
Thanks!

Search threads, this has already been reported & fixed.
Yesterday all of a sudden I kept getting this error with fingerprint scanner having to close. I disabled this method in order to unlock my phone faster, since fingerprint scanner didn't work even after several reboots. Now when I got to the fingerprint section in order I get "an error has occurred with the fingerprint sensor. If this message appears repeatedly, restart your device. " Obviously, restarting doesn't do the trick.
I tried the fingerprint test (via *#0*0 and I get "fingerprint initializing fail" (sic)
I've been looking all over to no avail. Thing I tried
- Clearing data/cache for the fingerprint apk
- Clearing davilk cache
I want to know if anyone found a solution prior trying a hard reset
I'm on: stock MM 6.0.1, rooted (have been rooted for more than 3 months, so this doesn't have to do with rooting). Phone didn't suffer damage of any kind
reflashing stock firmware could solve your problem...if you dont mind...!
if that didnt fix it up... it could the sensor (home button) problem.

My phone turned off and at restart displays "Logging" at startup screen and bootloop with "Unfortunately system ui has stopped" message, etc. I've tried factory reset but nothing change. After downloading firmware from here, I've tried a flash which ended successfully but problem persists. How to fix this ? thanks

looks like you are flashing wrong firmware and/or OS.
Make sure you have One A9s and not A9
Hi,
I tried to restore my call log and whatsapp messages using dr.fone.It stuck at 80%.Then I stopped it.When i tried to unlock the phone using the finger print ,a message appeared saying "The fingerprint sensor is not responding please try again later."
Things i tried:
1.Restarting phone
2.Resetting phone to its factory default
Now when I try to set a new fingerprint I get a message saying "An error has occurred with the fingerprint sensor. If this message appears repeatedly ,restart your phone. "
I hope you can help me. Thank you.
