decryption problem / camera problem - Sony Xperia XZ Questions & Answers

Hello,
Im trying to remove the encryption on my Xperia XZ but it doesn't seem to go away.
Even when i factory reset the phone and skip all steps of the setup process, it's still encrypted.
Anybody knows what I can do? a little help is well appreciated.
Also my camera doesn't work anymore, it's just giving me the error "camera is being used by another application" ,
I tried resetting the app, wiping cache and wiping data. No results there.
Thanks!

[Q] Network Problem? Phone Problem?

I recently bought a rooted Nexus s (GSM), and everything was fine until I powered off the phone. When I re-powered the phone, the mobile data didn't work, and the phone kept harassing me with the notification "sorry! the process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly" and made me force close it. and when I do press force close, the notification would pop up again instantaneously until I got tired of it and ripped the battery out.
The phone is currently running on NSCollab-1.0.35 ROM.
I tried hard-resetting the phone, but when I try to do it (via hard key reset and through settings->privacy-> etc) it would get stuck on the black google boot page and wouldn't budge. I can't even get to the recovery page.
I also tried to flash clockworkmod, then fix the permissions, and then reboot the phone, but that also failed.
The only way to stop the phone from harrassing me with the sorry notifications is to put it in airplane mode.. which certainly does not help my case. Please help! I will be eternally grateful.
Ok the reason this is happening is because you used the "switch from 3G to 2G" widget. You should've read the bugs when you downloaded the nscollab. Btw I use nscollab and I love it.
I fixed it by just wiping cache and just reinstalling the ROM.

[Completed] ZTE ZMAX stuck at com.android.phone error.

I don't what exactly I did but now my Mobile Carrier disappeared after I used GravityBox for [KK] I can't connect to my data and my phone keeps spamming me with com.android.phone has stopped. I can spam ok and use my device for 5 seconds. It's frustrating. I cleared my cache, and tried everything. I don't really want to factory reset, so I was wondering is there anything else I can do. or Factory Reset is the best way to go ?

Hello,
Your device/firmware is probably not compatible with gravitybox.
You may flash Xposed Framework uninstaller zip to get rid of the issue.

Fingerprint scanner stopped working

Yesterday all of a sudden I kept getting this error with fingerprint scanner having to close. I disabled this method in order to unlock my phone faster, since fingerprint scanner didn't work even after several reboots. Now when I got to the fingerprint section in order I get "an error has occurred with the fingerprint sensor. If this message appears repeatedly, restart your device. " Obviously, restarting doesn't do the trick.
I tried the fingerprint test (via *#0*0 and I get "fingerprint initializing fail" (sic)
I've been looking all over to no avail. Thing I tried
- Clearing data/cache for the fingerprint apk
- Clearing davilk cache
I want to know if anyone found a solution prior trying a hard reset
I'm on: stock MM 6.0.1, rooted (have been rooted for more than 3 months, so this doesn't have to do with rooting). Phone didn't suffer damage of any kind
reflashing stock firmware could solve your problem...if you dont mind...!
if that didnt fix it up... it could the sensor (home button) problem.

you mean just reflashing, without factory resetting it?

Settings has stopped

Hi there,
Please favor me with your help!
Initially, I forgot my PIN, and I used "Find My Mobile" to clear all security methods.
Afterwards, I set up a new PIN, however, after confirming the error occurred, i.e. "Settings has stopped".
I tried to boot is Safe Mode but the issue still persisted. Also, I cleared system cache, but no luck.
Another solution I haven't tried is to master reset.
Just wonder if you run into this, and have any workaround?
Many thanks,
Nghia

Settings Has Stopped

I just got the latest Android Oreo Beta update last night and since then I can't get in to my settings. Anytime I try to enter settings from anywhere I get an error that says Settings Has Stopped. I have wiped cache and I entered Safe Mode and the error was still there. Has anybody else had any luck with anything else. I am getting desperate.
Thank You

Conflicts of data.... If you can backup your photos/contacts etc with a good backup app and then do a factory reset.
I can back up my data using Smart Switch correct?
A hard reset did fix my issue. Thank you.
