i have a stock huawei mate 8 and the speaker volume was fine when it was new (fine for huawei only because we all know how bad is the mate 8 speaker in comparison to other flagship phones) but for about month now the speaker gone so low i even had to download a speaker booster app that actually helped a bit and i even try to clean the speaker with a dry tooth brush but with no good what can i do else

I have a mate 20X and just offered to trade with a OP7. Any one coming for mate 20 x can help ? Is it worth it ?
What I love about the mate 20 x is ofcours the camera specially night mode, the huge screen, wonderful speakers and I actually forget when was the last time I charge it between charges! That is how powerful is the battery! Other things I like is the wireless semi computer mode, the m pen, the game controller and it has a headphone jack with great sound quality
Sounds like you've already made your decision It is a great phone but for me it was too big.
My last note, the 9, had very poor speaker and Earpiece quality and volume. Compared to the iPhones it's a joke really. The iPhone got twice as loud as the Note 8 or 9. Yes, I know sometimes we use ear buds and headphones...
Does anyone know what the 10 sounds like? Didn't they hide the earpiece or make it significantly smaller in this new model?
I don't see any of these initial impressions or hands-on videos mentioning anything about call quality or speaker volume or anything like that.

Saw a speaker comparison and the s10 plus is just slighty louder than the note 10 plus. And my S10 plus is WAY louder than my note 9.
Note 10 plus also louder than iphone xs max although i feel the iphone had better bass (and I am saying that as someone who hates apple lol)
i also listened to my note 9 vs note 10 plus side by side in best buy and it is far superior.
Best Buy has the Note 10 on display now?

Yes they did as of friday last week and thats here in Canada so in the US for sure they do.
It's not on display in the US. Which store are you referring to in Canada?

Hmm, tomorrow will check out if my BestBuy store in WA has any Note 10 devices on display
Its definitely not better then the iPhone. Base is missing. However this phone is a tank!

Just saw it at Costco. Definitely louder than the Note 9. Still tinny though.
I bought a OnePlus 6t and rooted it and increased the level to 90 but the sound quality doesn't seem as good as my mate 9. I think I'm going to sell it and keep using the Mate 9. I only wanted a phone that had support still but the screen, heaphone, and regular speaks seem so much better. Has anyone else compared the heaphone quality. I'm using iphone earbuds with both phones playing Pandora.

Unfortunately since the minor update that "improves sound effects in certain scenarios" my Mate 20 X randomly plays audio at about 25% volume even if I set it at full, the only thing that solves it until the next time is a reboot !!!!!!
No wonder... I have been enjoyed its stereo speakers since day one.
