Hello,
Here's a method which is believed to be working
Complete Step By Step Tutorial to Root Samsung Galaxy J1:
This tutorial is only managed using a PC
Step 1:
Download MD5 file through www mediafire.com/downl.../r99xeoywhdryenc/boot.tar.md5
Step 2:
Download and install the USB Driver. www mediafire.com/.../a4hd8y0c1iakysk/Samsung-Usb-Driv...
Step 3:
Download ODIN v3.10 and directly extract it. www mediafire.com/.../v26m0vfo1rb9xi6/Odin3_v3.10.6.zip
Step 4:
Phone: enter download mode first >>. After being turned off, HOLD all three buttons (Power button + Volume Down button + Home Button). After turned on, immediately release (Power button) but still HOLD Volume Down Button + Home button. After that select Continue using Volume button UP. now your phone is already in the download mode.
Step 5:
Plug the phone to a PC via USB cable
Step 6:
Open the Odin v3.10 application that is already downloaded. Click the PA button and select the MD5 file that is already downloaded. Then Click (START) button. Wait until completed and the phone will automatically reboot
Step 7:
Download application iROOt and install in PC. See www mgyun.com/en/getvroot
Step 8:
Open the iRoot application that is already installed earlier and run the root process

[Q] HELP!!! How to access odin download mode on Dual sim GT-N7102 galaxy note 2

Hi I have just bought the chinese dual sim galaxy note 2 GT-N7102 mobile phone and i am desperately trying to root it but in order to root it i need to access odin download mode so i can flash. I have tried the standard way of accessing odin download mode which should be: after switching phone off press Volume Down, Home and Power button till warning screen appears and then press Volume Down to enter Download mode but ive tried it and it does not work! Any help would be much appreciated.
Does anyone know anything about rooting this model or accessing download mode on this handset?
here are some information on the phone to help you further:
chinese dual sim galaxy note 2
model number: gt-n7102
android version: 4.1.3
kernel version: 3.0.31
build number: JRO03C.N7102XXALJ1
Also i have realised this phone is wierd it uses mtk65xx usb driver for connection to the pc instead of samsung usb drivers.
Entering factory mode.....
In order to enter factory mode or also maybe known as odin download mode on the chinese dual sim custom made galaxy note 2 follow these instructions:
1. switch phone off
2. keep power button pressed and press volume up key and keep pressing the volume up key until you see download mode onscreen.
Its in chinese but you can pretty much understand the basic stuff like flashing from sd card etc.
Now you can flash custom roms, root etc...
NOTE: THIS PHONE IS CALLED iHKC HERO 2
Thank me if i was helpful!!!
Same problem, unable to put N7102 into download mode

I am also looking for ways to root my dual-sim N7102 (from China) phone. I tried many ways, but cannot put phone into download mode. Following your advice, instead of any download mode, I get into a menu with the following options:
Android System Recovery Utility:
1- Reboot system now
2- Apply update from SSD card
3- Apply update from cache
4- Wipe data/factory reset
5- Wipe cache partition
6- Backup user data
7- Restore user data
However, any option I press, it doesn't do anything and just shows the Android guy on its side with a red triangle and an exclamation mark. I cannot go any further.
I tried ODIN, but it doesn't detect the phone, same with Kies, doesn't recognise the model.
I also use adb reboot download from a command line, but same story, no download is possible.
Any ideas?
To root chinese phones you should try that chinese app that has a hat as an icon, don't remember the name now but it's made for the chinese market and it aurodetects your chinese phone and roots it. Just reply to this thread as i'msubscribed and will check the software name when I'm on the computer! talk later

Thanks, I am trying many rooting kits, but it seems I am always getting stuck when trying to put the phone in download mode, it just refuses to go into download mode. May be this is a special phone, not sure what else I can try, if you find that chinese root let me know, thanks.
Sure man just got it. Its called zhuodashi, download it from their website. You will need pdanet software for the driver and tethering. Please check my posts and see if you can help with my problems cause nobody is answering on this forum.... thanks

I got the way. I ordered the phone and I got a note that stated the steps and download links. Now since I dont have access to post websites here you will need to read it off the attachment.
1)Please open USB DEBUGGING and connect to your PC (Win XP,Vista, 7, 8)
2)Download Snappea from the download link in the attachment. Inside the folder there should be Snappea, Install it and connect phone. Snappea should ask to install an app on your phone, accept it and Snappea should Identify your phone.
3)Go to your Task Manager and Kill the Process called "wandoujai_helper"
4)Go to the folder you downloaded from the link and in the MTK6577 folder open the "MTK6577root.bat" file. The page should look green with chinese letters, Well just press ENTER, then click "Restore my Device." (No need to type password). Then it will reboot 2 TIMES, dont touch it.
5) Check the app drawer for a new app with a # icon. if its there then you got root access.
Now I would recommend to grab a superSU.apk attached and before STEP4, go to the folder and look for those 2 superuser apks and replace the superSU.apk with an english one I attached and then proceed to STEP4. Then it will install in english.
Just as a favor, if you know or learn how to install Clockworkmod or any working Recovery, let me know to [email protected]
It's probably gonna be easier just usingthe soft I stated above.

Thanks both, just tried downloading zhuodashi but McAfee killed it, didn't allowed me to download saying something about a Trojan virus. I will try the other method, thanks.
GT-N7102 backup Needed!!
I am willing to pay someone via paypal, for the person who can upload a full gt-n7102 backup. I bricked my phone trying to install CWM and it is stuck in a bootloop. Please someone just make a backup, may be M5D and just upload it, and send me an email to [email protected] I will pay $20 via paypal... You dont need CWM to make a backup.
Steps:
1)Turn Off Phone
2) Click and Hold the Volume Up+Power Button
3) Once in Recovery Mode, Press HOME
4) Then Backup
5) The "backup" should be in a newly created folder in the SDCARD, just zip it and send it to me.
Since this phone is not that popular it is important that we all keep a backup, online just in case, plus it will help others who bump into this issue. I have searched many forums but nobody has uploaded a full GT-N7102 backup.
Where is the donload link ???

Hi,
I think you might have the same problem as I faced. What i eventually figured out is that you need to press the "Menu" capacitive button instead of the power or home button to select an option in this "recovery" mode.

No, I gave up trying, but then realised the phone was already rooted when it came from China. Google Play was not working because the model was not recognised by Google so I couldn't install any apps. I then discovered a little program called APK Installer, which allowed me to install Titanium Backup and then I was able to uninstall all the chinese apps, and then install all other apps this way.
You can search the net for apk apps, there are several sites. The only problem is that I always have to use this method to install apps, but at least it works.

Hello everyone, as the title says im looking for a step by step tutorial on how to root my samsung galaxy s4.
Obviously im a newbie here and never rooted any phone so please help me to find a step by step and "almost" safe tutorial for a beginner to do.
Here is my phone model:
Samsung galaxy S4 i9505 4.3 version
Reason for rooting:
-want to remove the bloatware apps on phone
-bored on touchwiz (I guess =))
-want to incorporate music player of sony xperia to my phone (ive seen others that they have this feature even though they are not xperia)
-want a simple but efficient custom rom (any suggestion? Just a simple no more bloatwares)
-last but not the least I wanna try rooting a phone and I really wanna learn how to do it and flashing things on phone, etc =)
Hope anyone can help me. Thanks in advance.

Hi this is how to root your s4.
Pre-requisites
1) Install USB Driver for Samsung Galaxy S4 to transfer files between the Android device and the computer.
2) Enable USB Debugging Mode on phone to connect it with computer and use Android SDK with it. [Press Menu>> Settings>> Applications. From there navigate and click on Development option and check USB Debugging Mode.]
3) As the tutorial might wipe out all data of the phone, create a backup. If the device is having any custom recoveries such as ClockworkMod/TWRP already installed, backup data using the recovery.
4) The Galaxy S4 should have above 80% battery charge.
5) The phone should be factory unlocked and not locked to any particular carrier.
6) The device will lose manufacturer's warranty once it is rooted. However, users can reclaim the warranty back by unrooting the handset later.
7) The CF-Auto-Root files work only on Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 and GT-I9505. As applying these to any incorrect variant might brick the device, verify the model number of Galaxy S4 by navigating to Settings>> About phone>> Model number and install the root package accordingly.
Steps to root Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500/I9505 on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

When the phone is connected successfully, an Added message will appear under Odin message box. Additionally, the ID: COM box in Odin will turn blue with the COM port number indicating successful connection
Note: If the Added message does not appear, then try another USB port, try the one located at the back side of the computer. In case Odin still fails to recognise the device then reinstall USB driver.
Step-8: In Odin, click the PDA button and select CF-Auto-Root-ja3g-ja3gxx-gti9500.tar.md5 or CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505.tar.md5 file according to the variants

[GUIDE] SM-T210 PhilZ Touch Recovery + Root

Hey guys, today I'm back with another root guide. Of course it also shows you how to install recovery in case you don't have it. I will try to make the guide as easy to understand as possible, you know, for noobs. It's going to be a long day.
First thing, you can get any SuperSU zip that you want from Chainfire. I have the guaranteed one that I used to root mine. It depends on you. I will give you both links to Chainfire's thread and my file.
Requirements
-A PC
-Your device with USB cable(its battery level would better NOT below 30%)
-A stable internet connection
-Your brain(it can blow up, man, seriously)
A warning before we start:
-Files you download on your PC:
+Drivers
+Odin+Recovery
-Files you download to your device: Root(Chainfire's or mine)
Download all of them before you do anything. Extract Odin and recovery
The drivers are for Windows. I don't know if there are Samsung USB drivers for Mac or not.
Main Guide
1. Enable USB debugging on your device in developer options(to enable dev options, go to about phone, rapidly tap build number until it says that you have enabled it)
2. Open the drivers setup and install it on your PC.
3. Boot to Download mode on your device(Power off your device, then hold power and volume down button. When there's a triangle, press volume up.)

Well, I tested it on the 8 or 9 inch whatever and it worked out. But there's a still chance that this won't work on models other than its own. You can check and send me your device's model and i'll figure out another way for you. But don't try this method, it will only make it worse.

Ok, you should try the other root zip file, because I posted 2 to make sure that you can do it all over again. Or you should first try rebooting your device again. I'm sorry for the inconvenience

What Model do you have there buddy?
- Install Kies3 from samsung.
- It will not recognize the device .... no panic!!!
- Open in menu Tools->Update and initialize firmware
* put the model number and serial number you have in the back of the tablet...

*this way worked for my soft bricked SM-t561 Galaxy tab E. and I hope it'll work for you'll too. after this process all the data from your device will be gone as if it was bought new. Pls make sure you charged your device so that it won't shutdown during the process.
Make sure you have installed samsung USB drives latest version before doing this. If not download it from this link. -----> https://droiddocket.com/download/samsung-usb-drivers-v1-7-23-0/
1.type your model number and search google for flashable firmware for your device. Download it, and unzip it.
2.Download Odin latest version, unzip it and double click Odin3_v3.14.4 file .
3.then you'll get a notification probably, click ok. After that you'll get like this, after that take your soft bricked phone and click power button + volume up /down + home button then
your phone will look like this,
after that connect your device to the computer, on your computer you'll see this.
then click "AP" and select the unzipped firmware you downloaded and click enter.
after that click start and it will start flashing you'll see the progress from your device and from your pc. It will take a while so DON'T un plug the device. after it's done you'll see this in your pc then unplug your device and then it's done.
Don't mind my gramatical mistakes. I hope this helped you.

Unfortunately it did not work with rooting, did it as described above.
After the reboot, the tablet hangs at the start screen and does not boot any further.
how can I undo this, because before the device ran without problems
Hello everyone. I need help here.
I have a Samsung SM-T561 & some months ago, I upgraded to version 7.1
Then a few days ago, I wanted to upgrade it to version 10.
That's where things got messed up!
1st. I didn't make a backup of what current ROM.
2nd. I completely forgot to enable USB debugging (again, despite It wasn't the first time I used custom ROM)
3rd. The problem must have been from the ROMS I installed. They didn't work. So I factory resetted EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING. INCLUDING THE SYSTEM.
So basically, I HAD TWRP. I HAD NO OS. I DIDNT TURN ON USB DEBUGGING MODE.
Then I understood that I didn't need ODIN anymore because I had TWRP.
So.
I downloaded the files to flash again. On SD card. And inputted it inside . So it still DIDNT WORK!!
Then I flashed in IMAGE form.
Then my TWRP DISAPPEARED.
IM ON CONSTANT BOOTLOOP.
THE ONLY THING I CAN ACCESS IS THE DOWNLOAD MODE.
AND I CAN NOT CONNECT WITH ODIN BECAUSE I HAVENT TURNED ON USB debugging...
Someone should kindly... please. Get back to me
