One M9 4.14.617.6 and 4.19.617.1 Stock TWRP Backup N - One (M9) Android Development

As the title suggests this is a TWRP Backup of the stock 4.14.617.6 and 4.19.617.1 build.
Firmware 4.14.617.6 is suggested as ive not tried it with the old firmware 4.14.617.6 FIRMWARE ONLY HERE
Version 4.14.617.6 Available here TWRP November Build Nougat Rar file will need to be exracted
Version 4.19.617.1 provided by Zlebors - LATEST TWRP BACKUP from 1st Dec build OTA update - 4.19.617.1
Restore in TWRP's newest build.
ROOT
When rooting it causes one of the cores to stay on full power, SELinux needs to be changed to permissive to fix this (how to after root options.
2 options i have tried are....
SuperSU 2.79 systemless which works fine apart from passing safetynet (for me) just download and flash through recovery.
Magisk 10.2 systemless i have found the best for my use as i can hide root from banking apps.
Download the files from THE ORIGINAL MAGISK PAGE and follow the how to.
Changing Selinux to permissive
Again, you have 2 options.
APP - Easy to do just install the app and change to permissive, then set on boot. APK PAGE HERE
Via Script - Use ES File Explorer, on the left menu bar scroll down to Root Explorer and turn it on, allow root access. Navigate to device/magisk/phh and open service.sh with ES note editor. Add the line setenforce 0 under #!system/bin/sh then press back, save & close. Reboot the phone and you should now have SElinux set to permissive
If you want to flash it all yourself rather than restore a backup see THIS PAGE
If you want to flash using SDCARD
0PAIMG.ZIP Supplied by Florin to be flashed in download mode with the correct MID / CID
If you don't know how to restore a backup then make a backup of your current boot.img, open the TWRP>BACKUP>YOUR-DEVICE-NUMBER folder, delete the boot image and extract the files in my backup to said folder.

How can you use this? All in post #1
How can you update Official? Also in post #1
How can this be available? HTC Released it for DEV Phones
If your answer isn't there I'm afraid I can't help as I don't know what you mean

S-on means CID and MID original?
So if i have S-On nad cid and mid original can I use this backup? Change my img from backup to this backup? I have 6.0 firmware form Orange uk.
Will It worki?
I tried It on my Phone and I agree
It really Works !!
I have Nougat 7.0 on my Htc One M9

Make a backup of your current ROM and see. Personally I've never been S-ON so cannot say it'll 100% work but if you backup your current rom you can go back if you have issues

Thanks a lot for sharing this.
I used the restore backup method, worked on top of Viper 5.3 very well.
I have just two questions:
Is this the backup of a dev edition m9 ?
also, (if it is from dev edition) is my phone now basically a legit dev edition ?

This is a backup of the rom that was released for Dev Edition, restoring the backup will just give you the OS but if you used the method of flashing the developer Edition firmware then it is basically a Dev Edition device due to having the Dev CID and MID plus firmware

have 5.1 firmware
will It worki?

Well done, it's workning under 3.35.xxx too, I've found only a root problem, Titanium backup don't see the root, other apps do it, including root checker
Anyway thanks a lot!

Root can be adding using superSU 2.78 SR5, ZIP is in post one or it's available from chainfires site.
Hopefully have a flashable zip for you all this evening

Yes I did it, and root checker say it's rooted, but Titanium Backup (even if SuperSu grant permission at TB startup) doesn't work and say that the system is not rooted.
Anyway good job man!

I take no responsibility for anything you do to your device. Flashing any custom recovery will trip KNOX.
Installation:
Your phone must be rooted to install TWRP!
Install using Flashify or "dd if=twrp.img of=/dev/block/platform/soc.0/by-name/recovery"
does it work?
I decided to take a chance and try this recovery. WORKS !!! Thank you very much
Confirm the action on the Samsung Galaxy A3 (SM-A300FU)
Installs fine, I go into the recovery but trying to install a .zip update (it contains a .tar.md5 file which in turn contains img files among others, got it off mega, looks legit) renders an error with no md5 file.
Can twrp install the .zip or is the zip incorrectly packed?

Try under settings in twrp: switch off check md5. But never heard that tar files are flashable.

Nah its cool I realise now I tried flashing an Odin .zip update as if it were a OTA update.zip type of .zip file. I'll just wait for someone to make an OTA flashable zip or get a hold of a PC and flash through odin.

[ROOT][LB] Root For Xperia E3 D2202 With SuperSU Included (18.5.A.0.26)

Now i will share how to root Sony Xperia E3 D2202 with SuperSU included
This is very simple guide and work correctly with my devices
This is step for guide :
1. Download kingoroot.apk and try to get root with that app
Download
2. After root you will get app called "SuperUser" from kingoroot, it same like kinguser before
3. Next you will need to update binary SuperUser. and update it
4. After that you need to change binary from Kingoroot to SuperSU with this step
(link instruction : Link
- Download All requirement file from that link, like :
+ Replace kinguser with superuser.zip (Download
+ Download Android Emulator, you can find it on playstore
+ File manager
- after download extract replace_kinguser_with_superuser.zip to your internal storage and move folder called "nrw" inside .zip and move it to your internal storage
- after that open terminal emulator and execute this command :
Su
sh /sdcard/mrw/root.sh
- wait untill SuperSU app is launch and update binary from supersu. after that reboot your device
- after reboot, you need to disable Sony RIC service if you on locked bootloader
+follow this instruction from @forty two for his great job link thread
- after complete untill last step, and finish . you need to go to last step
- install root explorer or another root browser and go to system/app and search superuser from kingoroot and delete that app
- after that reboot it and done you have full root with supersu app inside
okay that's simple guide from me, if anyone have problem just ask me again.
this report work for D2202 and maybe will work on another type too

[Magisk] Root P20 Pro

So since apparently no one rooted their p20 yet and I heard it wasn't possible since no boot dumped yet.
I'll provide this https://mega.nz/#!jlBFWSwR!wzozF9Zi189upCm6mCVjTDEUcG9SpDHbNOPewKJ7so8
Magisk patched boot. (oh yeah you read right!)
All you need to do is obtain your bootloader unlock code.
If you somehow fail getting the bootloader code or getting wrong code. I can write up a thread for how we did it.
Unlock the bootloader and flash ramdisk with
Fastboot flash ramdisk CLT-L29-MAGISK.img
They reboot. Simple right?
This has been tested on a demo unit (C652) and works well!
We even dumped oeminfo!
Enjoy.

It's a copy-paste guide, don't use it.
And it's originally not even for Oreo, as they use 'recovery' partition rather than 'recovery_ramdisk'.
ok, thank you
I suspected a little.
However, just before I had the P20, I had an Oneplus 5T under oreo and it was still a partition recovery as usual. I rooted the Oneplus 5T by flashing the recovery quite normally: "Fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" then under twrp, flashing magisk.zip. No use of a recovery_ramdisk

It's certain. abd very logical
In the meantime, it is not very clever for these sites to offer fake tutorials because people in a hurry could try the adventure and end up with bricked phone, for a long time.
In any case, I hope that a formal and tested procedure will see the day soon, that we can have a little fun!

Nope the photo shows Magisk working already.

Also ill patch P20 ramdisk (yeah forgot I had it on mega)

It's not working on my Huawei P20 CLT-L29 C432 running EMUI 8.1.0
Unlocking the Bootloader works as described using the obtained unique unlocking code but after patching the .img file there doesn't seem to be root/SU available on my device. I would stay away from this as of now!

Yes I meant I tried the root checker Apps from Playstore, Titanium Backup root etc. to verify the Magisk .img was flashed properly and works but just doesn't

Android pie is out!

Find it in firmware finder

Does this update include in-band audio for Bluetooth ?
Thanks
FYI: it's a slightly newer version than the official Beta. Beta is 9.0.1.101 and the version in Firmware Finder is 9.0.1.157 so hopefully they have fixed at least a few issues with the beta version and hopefully not just removed logging, updated the Google security patches and relabeled it as final.
Hey guys. I'm trying to use the dload method but it fails at 5% ... Also, all the methods from FF are not working for me except the standard download.
How should I proceed ?
Thanks
Do you have unlock bootloader?
Is another solution, but must have unlocked bootloader.

1.There is no working pie dload archives for now...
'building your own' dload won't work.
2.FF erecovery only works for approved firmware

You must have OEM unlocked and debugging USB in developer options, root and unlocked bootloader.
Must have to HiSuite installed (or another adb drivers).
First download this tool: beta flashy 0.2
Then extract to desktop.
Download firmware via Firmware Finder.
Move update.zip to beta-flashy_0.2 / ZIPS-HERE folder,
Move STF-L09_hw_eu/update_full_STF-L09_hw_eu.zip beta-flashy_0.2 / ZIPS-HERE folder and rename it to update_all_hw.
Now connect your phone in fastboot mode to computer and cllick to FLASH.bat in beta-flashy_0.2 folder.
Then read instructions on screen.
Done

I have this rom on my wifes phone and works good.
Settings menu looks another.
GSM signal and Wi-Fi are to left side.
New icons on launcher.
When try change volume, have vertical bar on the right side.
Several new features(wallet, camera, gallery, digital hygiene in settings menu).
Bugs?
I thinks none.
But is no TWRP recovery.
I can't root device (i tried flash patched boot.img but not work).
Root with Magisk, patched boot.img

Update rooted phone
I'm currently on Miui 10.3.3 and want to upgrade to to 11.0.4.0. What's the procedure to install the new version without factory reset/wipe data and keep root(magisk)?

Since MIUI 11.0.4.0 is still android 9 the steps are easy.
1. backup your current rom
2. if you didn't do step one BACKUP CURRENT ROM
3. download 11.0.4.0 (stock or modified)
4. boot into recovery and backup current rom
5. copy backup to external location
6. install 11.0.4.0
7. install magisk
8. reboot and enjoy
Sounds easy, thanks mate!
Will do step one for sure, wouldn't want to risk loosing everything.
Could any of you please send to me build.prop from this rom?
Invalid zip file format
Hi there, i tried to install the zip today after i could finish the backup, but i'm getting the error "invalid zip file format". It's the file from this thread (from google drive). That are OTA-Links, does that mean i have to get it somewhere else to be able to flash it via twrp?

Did you try using the updater? Settings, my device, miui version, three dots (top right corner) choose update package? I have not tried myself. I am on custom china miui 11 android 10. I remember some of the ota files were encrypted and updater was needed to decrypt before install.

What if we are coming from a different rom like lineage? There is no updater, all we have available to us are these zips. Just use MiFlash tool and grab a fastboot version?

A quick Google search will give you download links for recovery rom. As I know everyone is too damn lazy you can try this link at your own risk.

I dont think it's laziness but simply ignorance. I did not know the Mix 2 line of devices have 3 separate ROM sources, OTA/Recovery/Fastboot
