Hi! I have the BLU Energy X 2, running CM12.1. The Wi-Fi works fine, but when I try to add a Google account, it says there was a problem communicating with Google servers. I've tried Wi-Fi, different networks and even internet through Bluetooth, and it still doesn't work. This ROM was unofficially ported from the BLU Studio Selfie running the same chipset. Everything else works except this google error. I've tried using a different phone and using ZipMe to flash accounts.db, and the file shows up in the data folder and users, however the Google account is not applied.

Hello,
Please try to clear data/cache of google apps.
If it still doesn't work, a factory reset should fix it for you.

I've done a factory reset, cache wipe(dalvik and normal), and even a re-install of the ROM, as well as Gapps, and I still get the error. I've also tried an older version, and I still get this error.

Dears,
Sorry if this issue could been already answered, but I've not found it and I'm very desperate.
My SGS2 updated automatically to new CM 11.0 20140405, and after that it can't sync Google services: calendar, gmail, etc.
I've cleared cache and Dalvik, reinstalled GApps (the same I had and the lastest one), removed Google account... but even from this point, I'm not able to create a new one because I get the following message:
"Couldn't sign in. There was a problem communicating with Google servers. Try again later".
Please, any solution?
Thanks in advance.

Try reinstalling google-play services app seperately after installing GApps.

Flash this GApps to solve your issues. Delete settings and cache of the google services before you flash the zip via recovery.
Thanks for your answers.
Before you both posted, I did those actions, but the error was still there.
So at last I had to wipe data, and it worked.
Will I have to do this every time I update CM version via OTA?

Don't use OTA. Flash the rom and gapps via recovery after clearing cache and dalvik cache.

Okay, I'll do it like you say next time. Thanks again! :good:
I have recently been sent the update to android 4.4.2 on my note pro however my WiFi will not connect now.
I've tried restarting the device and it keeps saying "network connection unavailable".
has anybody else had a similar experience with this device?

Use search, here are couple topics about broken wifi after update. Factory reset should fix it.

Hi!
Have you got Passpoint running?
This might be a totally different issue but if a factory reset or reflashing doesn´t help you might try looking here.

I have the same effect!
A full reset won't fix this problem. I contacted Samsung support and the said that I should send them the tablet.
A reset usually isn't sufficient, you need to reflash the firmware.
I fully reset the tablet about 4 times and it suddenly works.
Hi all!
I have exactly the same issue.... I just updated my Note Pro LTE (unrooted) to the latest firmware and I also do not have access to wifi.
Could you please help me? I read in this thread that by reflashing might solve the issue, but since I am not so experienced with that stuff on Android (hence the reason I never rooted), could you please provide detail instructions what exactly I have to do?
Thanks a lot for your great help!

I eventually made a factory reset and after everything was finalized, wifi was running again fine. All my apps from play store were installed again automatically and everything seemed to run properly!
However, when I woke up this morning, unfortunately the same issue was present. No network connectivity and all available wifi networks were marked 'not in range'!!
Thus, it seems that factory reset does not solve the problem... Therefore I searched on google how to reflash my tablet. This is the link that I found:
http://androidcentral.us/2014/02/how-to-flash-firmware-using-odin-samsung-devices/
Could you please confirm whether this is the procedure I should follow? If yes, which update should I use? The latest or the previous one, i.e. P905XXUANH3 or P905XXUANC3?
Also, will Knox be tripped if I flash the firmware?
Thanks a lot for your help and I look forward to your responses!

Yes.
I usually direct people here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/guide-odin-flash-guide-t1671969 (It's for the S3, but the procedure is the same everywhere. Make sure you get the most recent version of ODIN. The three buttons have different names (Bootloader/PDA/Phone/CSC are now BL/AP/CP/CSC), but the order is the same.)

You can't downgrade, so use either the one you already have or a newer one.

If you use the official firmware for a country in your region, No.
Thanks a lot ShadowLea!!
Eventually there is no need to reflash the tablet....
The only thing I just did was to uncheck the Passpoint option, as Polar67 describes above, in the Advanced Settings of wifi and immediately the issue was fixed!
Thank you all for your great help!!

Interesting.. Let's remember that solution for when someone else runs into it!
Hey guys,
I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII GT-19300 8GB running on Anroid 4.3, rooted and custom ROM Manager installed. Recently all Google Play services have stopped working. I literally can't do anything. I can' t log in, can't use Youtube, can't open the Play store because it gives me the No connection- retry error, of course. I heard it was because of Freedom. I deleted the app and tried to re-install it... but I cannot even install apk files; not any kind of apk file. I tried to force-install it with an android terminal, but that doesn't work either. Aptoide also does not want to install anything. I basically deleted the cache for every google app & I uninstalled all updates; but all in vain. Nothing seems to work except for Whatsapp and the actual internet browser. Please help me, I really need my phone to work properly.
Thanks in advance, any kind of help is appreciated

Reflash Stock ROM via Odin (you wont lost anything on internal storage) or try flash any gapps for 4.x.x via custom recovery.

Download your stock ROM. Put it in your pc and then flash it using Odin.
U may also need to flash gapps using your custom recovery.

Ok. You have got the answer in this thread
But before that just try to do a factory data reset
If you have some important data, take a nandroid backup
And then do a factory data reset
And I may be a foolish in this but I am considering it because everything may be possible here, enable the background data if it is disable

Well, okay, I guess that's my only option, I have reflashed the Stock ROM and that hasn't fixed my problem either. Factory data reset it will be. I'll come back to you whenever I have done the data reset. I really hope this'll fix the problem, because I don't want to do a factory data reset at all. :/
Hi,
My Galaxy S7 edge has been rebooted automatically. So I installed the last update suggested in my settings (that I was ignoring for almost 2 weeks). Now I'm not able to use many feathers, as the left touch button that shows opened apps, and I can't recieve notifications even if I hear the sound of it. Also, my personal settings has been reset.
Is there any way to fix that without flashing it or applying Factory Data Reset since I have plenty of apps and accounts that I want to keep.
Thank you!

Hello,

You need to re-flash stock firmware but that will wipe your data.

THANK YOU!:good:
As many others I have agreed on recent OTA update to Bluboo Mini fixing backlight setting problem. I don't use gmail, so I had set google account data to anything I had forgot just after. And now, after installation of the update the phone wanted google accout data - no luck in serveral tries... so I had finally loaded TWRP and cleared all including system. Now I would like to re-flash the phone, but I am not able to find any ROM for this model. could you please sugest anything - stock or alternative?
