Hi to all
I am trying to install magisk v9 in stock ROM without any success. Always after the installation phone boot to bootloader.
The Bootloader is unlock and when I un-install the magisk v9 the phone working properly.
Any idea how we could install magisk v9
Try factory reset or another version. I had installed Magisk v7, and few days ago updated to v9.
Great finding!!!
In Stock 6045 it is possible to install magisk-v7 or Magisk-v8.
In stock 6045 (5.0.2-010 02) it isn't possible to install Magisk-v9 via Manager or temp TWRP.
In case of temp TWRP device is stack to bootloader. It is possible to uninstall Magisk to work properly or install Magisk-v8
Any idea how to overcome the issue

root your device, install permamently TWRP and no problem then
Stuck on Android splash image during boot, after downloading and installing Magisk Manager and Apk 12.0. I was rooted through KingRoot, SuperSu installed busybox as well. I uninstalled SuperSu (through in app options) getting ready for MagiskSU.
Heres the deal. Even though I have twrp working, I cant use it cuz of a broke screen. Im thinking a factory reset via hardware buttons is my best option. But how?
6045O running the Panasonic Eluga Switch. Rooted, twrp satana 3.0.0.1 installed

Just got this phone new from cricket. I'm having issues making calls. I downloaded the update. But am wondering should I use it. I'm wanting to do custom roms exc. I have not unlocked boot loader or anything yet. If I do the update will I still be able to unlock the boot loader and root custom roms exc? 6045o is the type
First of all I suggest unlocking the bootloader, because if you update to MM you will lose fastboot commands (you can have them back but it's tedious). Then maybe install the latest TWRP, update to MM and then systemless root or custom ROM If you want to update to latest official firmware but don't want to lose TWRP/root just download the update without installing it and then flash it with chainfire's FlashFire.
thanks

First of all make sure you never mount /system as rw when using TWRP.
Then just do a systemless root (download SuperSU from chainfire website on your phone, launch TWRP's terminal and type "echo SYSTEMLESS=true>>/data/.supersu", then flash SuperSU as usual), systemless root won't be detected by apps/os. Will probably be detected by SafetyNet but i'm not sure PoGo uses it. In case you have problems with root detection you can try suhide by Chainfire.
Also note that systemless Xposed (rootcloak, etc) and V4A are possible via Magisk (just search it on XDA).
Hello.
I have a Pixel with stock Android that was rooted with Chainfire SuperSU 2.78SR3
Last night I've noticed that the phone isn't rooted anymore and has installed the Feb security update OTA. (I only had the Nov update installed).
I've tried rerooting using the same method (Fastboot boot) and got stuck in a bootloop.
I had to flash a clean stock rom to get it out of the bootloop.
Next I installed TWRP. That worked.
Next I tried installing a ZIP version of SuperSU 2.78SR4. The Zip installs but when I boot into Android SuperSU says that the phone isn't rooted.
Anyone had anything similar happen to them?

You might need to flash back to stock to fix this. If you do let us know so we can help you save your data and apps.
You used the wrong SU. You need 2.79 SR3. Note the 9 on there, you used 2.78.

Copy it to your phone and boot to TWRP. Then INSTALL it from TWRP.

Yes, it will work on all Android phones. Nowadays, Magisk became a famous root because it has cool features. The best feature of it is that you can hide root for specific games or programs like banking app wich can't open while the phone is rooted. I will write quick and simple below for how to flash Magisk.
1. If your phone is rooted flash unSU.zip
2. Flash Magisk v12.0
3. Wipe Dalvik/cache
4. Reboot and wait to update the programs about 10-15mins
5. When the phone is booted install the MagiskManager v4.3.3. which is not available in PlayStore anymore
6. Open Magisk and go to settings
7. Enable BusyBox and Magisk Hide (This will pass the SafetyNet security)
8. Go back tap to check SafetyNet (It will be green coloured) and you're done
Now u have Magisk with a rooted phone and a lot of features inside
Sweet...Thanks a million... I think I start from scratch anyway with flashing a stock rom...
so, just to be safe, I flash stock (let it boot and make the initial setup)
then flash recovery, and there I flash the Magisk file and at last install the
Magisk app and thats it... or is there something else, I've seen ont the S8 tutorial
that there is another file to be flashed in recovery... but I assume this has something to do with security features from Android 7/Samsung...
So, i have a Note Edge SN 915G stock ROM 6.0.1
Tried to flash in ODIN custom recovery TWRP so I can flash Magisk from recovery. It didn't work, because the reboot restores the stock recovery back.
Tried again by not rebooting and removing the battery after flashing in ODIN the TWRP. The custom recovery remained flashed, this time, but it didn't open: recovery is not seandroid enforcing error.
Flashed CWM second time with ODIN, removed battery, boot into recovery (CWM worked and opened successfully).
Flashed Magisk zip from the custom recovery, but after reboot ended into boot loop, soft brick with error Set Warranty Bit: kernel.
Reflashed stock firmware with ODIN, back to normal.
Any adivce on how to flash that darn Magisk properly?
Thank you.
PS: I did not wipe davlik after flashing Magisk, though. Could this be it?

Thanks a lot for the tips I have a question: After installing Magisk, I want to get Xposed installed, but it bootloops me at the Samsung logo every time, with the zip sdk23 of xposed by the official thread of rovo89 (thanks for his great work), and also with the xposed 23 at Magisk Manager. Did you get it systemless Xposed to work with Magisk in our Note Edge?
telefon notum kenar n915f magisk'in en son sürümünü indirmek istiyorum ancak indirmek istediğim sürümü indiremiyorum v 22.0
I want to download the latest version of magisk but I cannot download the version I want to download is v 22.0
As the title says I updated to 9.5.9 and I installed magisk to ota slot and then I got a bootloop.... I fixed it by using twrp option to fix bootloop but that removed root, everything I do now sends it into a bootloop, please tell me there is a way to reroot this without wiping my data

Just had the same issue an hour ago. Do this then re-root your phone again. Easy. Then re-install magisk modules.

Had the same issue.
Same here. I just reflashed TWRP (flash boot command), flashed the TWRP installer zip, rebooted recovery and then flashed Magisk. That solved it.
By the way, theres a new TWRP out for the 7 Pro.
I got the same problem but my internal storage is encrypted (it shows 0kb). TWRP is not asking for PIN to unencrypt the partition. What can I do now?
Do we have a custom boot image for 9.5.9? I'm looking to root and want to find the best method which will continue to allow future updates (even if I need to flash manually)

Your best bet is to use the oxygen updater app, download 9.5.9 and then copy it to a PC then use boot.img extract thingy and then use magisk to patch it and then use fastboot to to root it
Dears,
I have a OnePlus 6 unlocked and rooted with magisk and TRWP.
Currently I'm running stock firmware: oxygenos 10.3.
I got a message from system to update to 10.3.1.
Last time (when I have to update to 10.3) I tried to update in every way but without success and at the end I had to format everything and I lost my data.
So here is my question: which is the correct procedure to update software?
Thanks!
Look in TWRP and Root for OnePlus 6 on Oxygen OS 10 Stable/Beta thread
So you need to download latest Oxygen zip which is 042 buil if I'm not wrong...put it on your phone if you already didn't done that...then reboot to TWRP...and here starts the procedure....I HIGHLY RECCOMEND TO DO A WIPE WITHOUT FORMATTING INTERNAL STORAGE ONLY DATA...FOR AVOIDING ISSUES...but you can go without it...so here we start
Boot into twrp
Flash oxygen os zip(latest)
Flash twrp
Reboot to twrp(if it says no os installed just ignore it and swipe reboot anyway)
Flash magisk
and your done...thats it...nothing could go wrong.... I'm always doing it this way....

For me, the phone downloaded the whole package instead of just the little OTA. I let it install it, bit did not let it restart it. Then I went to magisk modules and installed "twrp-keep". Then in magisk manager I had it install magisk on the other slot. Then I restarted the phone. Everything worked great.

Try this method... im also done my update like this!
my way of doing it
Here's what i did and it didn't took me long at all i'm a newbie
I unroot my phone via magisk
install os 10.3.1 then flash twrp and root my phone again.
Dears,
Thanks for the replay.
I forgot that I was without TWRP.
What I did, and it worked, is:
- uninstall magisk manager by magisk
- install full update
- reboot
- flash by fastboot boot.img patched by magisk.
Thanks again
