Hi Guys, is there a way to mount the galaxy s3's internal storage as a USB mass storage device? As you know, currently when you connect to the computer, there are only two options: MTP and CTP. I know there is an app that does this for the external SD Card but I need it for the internal storage.
Thanks!
I use an app called SambaDroid. Once you connect to your phone you can map it as a drive using Windows. I use SyncToy to back up my stuff regularly, and although it's a lot of steps, it works pretty well.
If anyone has found a less labor intensive method, I would love to hear it.

Hi... please help me. I just flash my SGS3 and than I wipe data (from recovery). And all my files on internal has gone. Very sad about it, many photos are there. I want recovery it, but I need mount the internal as mass storage. Any one help me???
Hey guys!
I'm using Oppo Find 7 a (stock rom, unrooted, bootloader locked) . I removed my external card formatted it and put it back and for some strange reason my internal memory was missing. The partition for the apps storage(3.8 gb) is still in tact but my 9 gb internal storage space is just wiped out. Hence I've lost all my photos, videos and apps which were moved to sd card and also my app data. I formatted my external sd card separately using a card reader.
I've tried all the data recovery softwares online but all of them do not recognize my phones storage drives as they require it to be in usb mass storage but mine is mtp and my phone doesnt have any options to set it into usb storage mode. My USB debugging is switched on. Can any one help me recover my lost files?? Im trying to not use my phone much because i know if i do, the data will get over written and lost forever. What i need is for my internal storage to be read as a drive on my computer so that i could use a recover tool and get my data back. I would really like to NOT root my phone as its just 3 months old . Any other suggestion or help would be most appreciated . Thank you !
Hi, im currently a new person that has just recently acquired a clone S5.
Its runnning a mtk 6582 and has 1.09gb of storage.
I am trying to figure out how i can combine my sd card- that is a removable one- storage of 16gb with this storage so i can download more apps and such and so i am not limited to just 1.09gb.
Also i am not a fan of touch wiz and would like to install a custom rom but am not sure how to do so with this clone s5. Help with that would also be very nice and appreciated.
My phone is rooted
Hello Sir, how much is your full phone memory(include phone storage, not only the internal storage) or it full memory just 1.09 GB?

the full storage is 1.09gb . I use a external 16gb card for other things as in music, but i want to be able to use this 16gb to install apk files, as in games and other useful apps.
Hi. I have fake chinese model of samsung s6.
I have problem with free space in internal storage exactly show a lot of free space but when i plug into pc show only 17,8mb should be in gb not mb cant transfer nothing because low space... I dont have slot to put sd card only have this one internal storage... Any solution ? Thanks.
You just bought fake S6 with fake capacity...and solution? Buy something normal
Try using a USB OTG device. If the Android file manager sees the full internal storage, you can copy files from pc to OTG, then put the OTG in the phone, and copy to phone.
If not, I don't see a lot of options.

Hello,
Is there a way to mount a android phone as harddisk?
I mean NOT as removable disk, I mean recognizing by pc as real harddisk like the
pc´s built in harddisk?

No, I doubt it, but, there is an app called Drivedroid(and similar apps) that allow you to boot Windows or Linux on your PC directly from your android devices internal or external storage.

But theres no way to add those functions directly inside the android system?
I dont want to start a image of a operating system, I want to start a operating system over usb who is directly
installed on the phone micro sd card (Theres no image file, the files of the system are directly on the sd card)
Why it is so hard to change the normal mass storage mode of Android to a "Harddisk mass storge mode" that would be the easiest way?

Because, it would require formatting the device's storage in the same way that you would to create a bootable USB, that would make the storage no longer useable by the android system. In other words, you can't have it both ways where the android device can use the storage as mass storage AND at the same time use that same storage as a bootable drive.

My problem is, I would need a tool, or something, what mounts the android SD Card on the computer with flipped RMB (Removable media bit), so its mounted as harddisk, that would be all I would need, but that seems not possible on android. The RMB of the micro SD
card is not flippable, otherwise the micro SD would become a harddisk by itself, but to flip the bit in the micro sd card controller, we would need a MPtool for the micro sd card controller, and this tool has only the micro sd manufaturer. So I would need some rt of filtering app on the android who allows mounting the micro sd on the computer, but filters the rmb to tell the computer that the micro SD is a Harddrive, but that seems not possible?

Hard drives are not expensive, why not just buy a new hard drive?
The PC doesn't access the device's storage directly, it has to communicate with the storage through the device's hardware(CPU) and the device has to be powered on or the PC can't do anything with the storage, that is the roadblock that you aren't going to get past because hard drives do not work the same way. It is just a completely different animal than a hard drive or a typical USB drive. You are probably wasting your time, find a different solution because this one doesn't have much chance of working, whether you choose to accept that or not.
I could be wrong, but, I don't think that is the case.
