Samsung S6 MTK6589 - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. I have fake chinese model of samsung s6.
I have problem with free space in internal storage exactly show a lot of free space but when i plug into pc show only 17,8mb should be in gb not mb cant transfer nothing because low space... I dont have slot to put sd card only have this one internal storage... Any solution ? Thanks.

You just bought fake S6 with fake capacity...and solution? Buy something normal

Try using a USB OTG device. If the Android file manager sees the full internal storage, you can copy files from pc to OTG, then put the OTG in the phone, and copy to phone.
If not, I don't see a lot of options.

Can't access to my files from tablet to computer only old photo not showing all

Hello guys. I believe before I would able to go Computer, GT-N8013 then select both hard drive and able to access all my pic and video now it doesn't show new pic and some of older pic i had this problem for a while. I'm not sure if it's because I upgraded the version but I did remember
I did a factory reset. Also seem to be a bit slow to load up preview in gallary. Os I use is Windows 7 and Window 8. I want to view all the files. Any idea? Yes the new photos is in my gallery.
Have you installed Samsung USB drivers or Kies ???

I had a problem recently where I could see photos in the gallery on my Note but the PC could not read the SD card either by USB connection or by plugging the SD card directly into the PC card reader. I only realised there was a problem when I could not delete a photo from the tablet!
The solution for me was to reformat the SD card on the PC (the format card option on the tablet had no effect) and then (sigh) copy all 16gb off photos back to the card.
If your problem is with the internal storage then this doesn't really help but ultimately it may be worth considering reformatting the internal SD storage.

Well I am able to delete photo on the tablet. Problem is I am able to access the internal and external memory except the new photo it wont show up if i connect to computer but does show up the old picture. Another thing is on my S2 once i changed back to stock rom i have same problem. What I can do is zip all the pic of internal then upload to a host website. I didn't had this problem with my Samsung Galaxy note tablet on 16gb now I have the 32 gb tablet since i got rid of 16gb version in Mexico. Kies is a no go. I'll try samsung driver but thing is my computer do detect the device and able to access the old files and files i put in.

Mounting internal storage as USB mass storage

Hi Guys, is there a way to mount the galaxy s3's internal storage as a USB mass storage device? As you know, currently when you connect to the computer, there are only two options: MTP and CTP. I know there is an app that does this for the external SD Card but I need it for the internal storage.
Thanks!
I use an app called SambaDroid. Once you connect to your phone you can map it as a drive using Windows. I use SyncToy to back up my stuff regularly, and although it's a lot of steps, it works pretty well.
If anyone has found a less labor intensive method, I would love to hear it.

Expanding storage s5 clone

Hi, im currently a new person that has just recently acquired a clone S5.
Its runnning a mtk 6582 and has 1.09gb of storage.
I am trying to figure out how i can combine my sd card- that is a removable one- storage of 16gb with this storage so i can download more apps and such and so i am not limited to just 1.09gb.
Also i am not a fan of touch wiz and would like to install a custom rom but am not sure how to do so with this clone s5. Help with that would also be very nice and appreciated.
My phone is rooted
Hello Sir, how much is your full phone memory(include phone storage, not only the internal storage) or it full memory just 1.09 GB?
I only know how to change phone storage to internal storage . But combine I don't know about it, sry.

Adoptive storage uses external SD card. What your external SD card is labeled as is different from device to device.

No, I doubt it, but, there is an app called Drivedroid(and similar apps) that allow you to boot Windows or Linux on your PC directly from your android devices internal or external storage.

But theres no way to add those functions directly inside the android system?
I dont want to start a image of a operating system, I want to start a operating system over usb who is directly
installed on the phone micro sd card (Theres no image file, the files of the system are directly on the sd card)
Why it is so hard to change the normal mass storage mode of Android to a "Harddisk mass storge mode" that would be the easiest way?

Because, it would require formatting the device's storage in the same way that you would to create a bootable USB, that would make the storage no longer useable by the android system. In other words, you can't have it both ways where the android device can use the storage as mass storage AND at the same time use that same storage as a bootable drive.

My problem is, I would need a tool, or something, what mounts the android SD Card on the computer with flipped RMB (Removable media bit), so its mounted as harddisk, that would be all I would need, but that seems not possible on android. The RMB of the micro SD
card is not flippable, otherwise the micro SD would become a harddisk by itself, but to flip the bit in the micro sd card controller, we would need a MPtool for the micro sd card controller, and this tool has only the micro sd manufaturer. So I would need some rt of filtering app on the android who allows mounting the micro sd on the computer, but filters the rmb to tell the computer that the micro SD is a Harddrive, but that seems not possible?

Hard drives are not expensive, why not just buy a new hard drive?
The PC doesn't access the device's storage directly, it has to communicate with the storage through the device's hardware(CPU) and the device has to be powered on or the PC can't do anything with the storage, that is the roadblock that you aren't going to get past because hard drives do not work the same way. It is just a completely different animal than a hard drive or a typical USB drive. You are probably wasting your time, find a different solution because this one doesn't have much chance of working, whether you choose to accept that or not.
I could be wrong, but, I don't think that is the case.
