LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1.2 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

yes, it's everything ok
but have you try open file from CM File Manager at your SD Card?
because I can not open it. Not for the file but I can not access my SD Card because appear message "This operation requires elevated permissions. Try changing to Root Access mode" (see the picture)
This is first problem which I got
After I use in one day, I will report again the bugs if I found it
Great job @celoxocis
Work flawlessly on my device. No bugs or any problem on the build. Well done :good:

There is no Theme engine yet in CM14.1.
CM dev's are busy working on port's that have higher priority.
By ports I mean "make code/features from CM13 work on CM14.1"
If you want a missing feature you can stick to CM13. I still use CM13 as my daily driver but test CM14.1 when I need to.
There's some news on making the ROM official.
The dev who was working on a proper bootloader unlock process. An aboot with fastboot that doesn't get stuck on the OEM logo. Is back from the dead.
Hopefully he will find some time to work his magic.
Once done I will push it official.
Good job. Been running for the day now and just finished a full charge. Will see how it goes over the next few days !!
Just noticed that VOCC doesn't seem to be working. At least when its on a VOCC charger it doesn't say "rapid charging" like it did.

It doesn't always say rapid charging like in CM13.
Only when it's above a specific voltage. It will show rapid charging.
OK well I will have to test properly but I'm pretty sure it never went into rapid charge and it definitely should have.
---------- Post added at 08:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:06 PM ----------
OK so dropped 30% battery overnight...10pm to 6am. Rapid charging is working but interestingly on the 4amp charger that came with the phone, ampere is only showing charge rate of between 2800 and every now and then 3200 ma. And the closer it gets to full the slower it charges.

Yes that's expected behavior. The current begin's high and the fuller the battery gets the slower it will charge. There was an intensive review about Oppo's VOOC (aka DASH) on the net. You can read up on it.
Also the VOOC charging is always handled my the kernel. The Kernel source comes straight from Oppo. CM doesn't change one bit of the charging behavior. It only displays and handles the overlay information showing "rapid charging" or "slow charging".
Like plug it in your PC/Notebook's USBv2 connection for charging it should show "slow charging".

Yeah Yeah just reading the bug list (already ) confirm SMS, recording issues.
device is not heating, not laggy, MTP works (go in developer options)
Any estimate as to whether or not this could work with the Canadian variant (SM-G903W)? Or a guess as to what contribution might be required to create something that would work?

I'm testing the compatibility of the ROM on a G903W Canadian variant and can confirm it's operational with just the same bugs everyone else has. I'd really like to get to the bottom of the mic issue though, mine just outright doesn't pick up anything, even if I attach a Bluetooth headset with a mic on it.
Edit: Performed another test as I had some issues earlier, and now it's just audio that sounds like it's being recorded in slow motion. It's understandable but it isn't quite right. I would take a look at the sources but after downloading a number of them I only have 6GB free on my partition. I may have to move it all over to an external hard drive first before I can do anything.

Thank you @anderson mendes. To be honest, it looks more like AOSP than lineage. Search bar on home screen, even without gapps. No browser. No advanced restart menu. No root management in developer options.
Good: @Setialpha's nanomod patcher allows signature spoofing for microG.
Bad: picture in picture does not work yet.
Strange: power off and plugin charger > full system start.
Thank you for your great achievement! no root for oreo yet? thank you for your great work @anderson mendes ..

about "Strange: power off and plugin charger > full system start." it's offline charger bugs not a strange behaviour.

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed!

Hi all! I can't install, because a error 7 message on twrp, is necessary to do a full wipe before? I'll suppose that my phone is compatible with this version cose the update was available on the phone updates.
I upgraded from LOS 14.1 (already wipe cache), here the problems I have so far...
1. Wake up screen is really hard to do most of the time. If the phone sit still, push the power button it may got a chance 50% that it will wake up screen immediately, but if I am walking, it's almost impossible, I have to stand still and grab my phone firmly before push the button, and also need to stay still around 3 - 5 secs before the screen turn on.
Update: I think I got the same problem, I'm disable the expanded desktop and testing it.
2. Netflix said the app is not compatible. (I didn't root / su.)
Update: I'm able to watch Netflix again after follow the instruction from this page.

What is your TWRP version? I have to upgrade TWRP from version 3.1.x to 3.2.1 from this link (as mentioned in the wiki) before I can flash LOS 15.1.
After a couple of reboots, the system now starts ok (was asking for repeated screen lock confirmations, with the secondary ones having invisible grids!). I can't see the Fingerprint option in Security, so can't use that to lock and unlock at the moment. At the moment the button bar at the bottom sometimes disappears when the phone goes into standby, and won't come back, leaving a totally black screen, forcing a hard reboot.
I'll let you know if the issues persist, or they're just initial issues.

You may have the same problem as me. Do you enable expanded desktop globally? If yes, try disable it and enable only for the app you wanna hide the navigation (button) bar.

what Fingerprint option in Security?! this ROM is for the R7Sf not for the "R7 Plus".
R7S doesn't have a fingerpint scanner... for "R7 Plus" 15.1 you should have installed the "R7 Plus" ROM.

I've found the thread! And Fingerprint scanner bug is known. Thanks again and sorry for the confusion.
Double tap to wake doesn't work.
Apart from that this first build is working really well, everything I've installed has worked first time. Surprised.
Though some of the changes to the system and settings are awful. Google have gone from 'flexible' to 'f**k you'
Yes, I got an older version 3.0.2.2, I'll try update to the latest and do it again. Thanks

I'm running the plus version, but mentioning this here in case it's also an issue with the standard R7:
I can report a Bluetooth bug using Bluetooth headphones. It doesn't matter what app is used and in what environment. The sound is interrupted by a periodic, soft click, followed a nanosecond later by a split second drop off in sound. It's very quick, but noticeable.
Has anyone else noticed this?
----
As I said, that's for the Plus, so it might be unique to that version.

Only bluetooth issue here is I can't change the codec type in developer options. No matter what you choose it stays on SBC.

Maiden Audio app reports, "Detected problem with app native libraries (libavcodec)", so there might be a codec bug there. Or not!

that's a known issue. but not device specific. it effects all 15.1 ROMs.

I know you are excited, but just tone it down a bit. Let the dev do his work at his own pace. As it is, he is handling too many ROMs, along with working on the device side.
The fruit of patience is always the sweetest.
I think no you can't do that you going into bootloop

woah, thanks for the latest ROM dude. your support to this device is a legendary thing.
I'm gonna try this ROM and give report ASAP.
Thank you for the rom. So far it is working great since I did the install 2 days ago. I jumped from stock rom directly to this and I can't comment for the other LOS releases. I am using Basic NikGApps.
Something really weird when I first install the rom is Nik's wont install directly after rom install. Something about /system cannot be mounted. I had to reboot after rom install to be able to install the GApps.
Boot up is super quick (I wiped /data). Home/task manager animation is jittery but expected. Overall compatibility is great, although Find Device shows this device as Google Pixel 5. Dual sim is working as expected, but I only use the other sim as gsm exclusive recipient. The stock rom sometimes restart both sim (like no signal followed by searcing for network) after/during phone call, so it is much better now. The stock's built in browser & webview was flaky and now it is so much better.
My device's power button is faulty and I wake up my device with the FP sensor/screen double tap. When the screen is timed out, sometimes, if not often, the FP and 2-tap cannot wake up the screen. Not a big deal for me, but I thought I should share anyway.
My question is any help/tutorial on rooting?
So far the one I found is by using Magisk, and the magisk manager shows no ramdisk for this device. I don't really want to do the recovery dance considering the status of the device's hw buttons.
+Google Pay working,
+IRCTC app is working,
+Yono SBI Lite Banking app is also working
+SafetyNet by passed,
-Scroll QuickTile's Setting not working
Paytm Should work too
can't say about ICICI banking app
+jio SIM working properly (VoLTE)
-but Airtel is unable to call only SMS (this problem also in Stock ROM)
+LTE data is working on Airtel SIM
Hi Everyone, just two questions
The install instructions don't mention deleting /system, do i have to be using a stock ROM and then flash this? or whatever ROM i'm using when installing the OS will overwrite everything?
I'm also using the standard K6, is there any difference in the installation process? the phones have identical specs but just asking anyway
Why is SELinux disabled in this version? It was enforcing in the previous ones.
Thank you for that awesome ROM, it works really well so far for me. The only issue that I have is that apps running in the bakground crash almost every time. For example: i'm listening to spotify (or and other media player, really) and actively use any other app at the same time. In 9 of 10 cases the media player will stop running.
I reckon this issue has been solved for pixel phones using the "Suspend Execution for Cached Apps" option in the developer options, but this feature is not available in this ROM. Also disabling the battery optimization for the crashing apps didn't help either.
Do you guys too have this problem?
Is there a workaround?

Hello everyone!
Firstly, very thanks to Karthick for the hard work. I'm new in this forum but I use LineageOS 16 on my k33b36 about 1 year Nothing to say about, it works fine to me!
I'm here because I wanted to know if this build works on my k33b36. I'm excited to test it and hope I can help somehow, but my knowledge in this area is very weak...
Anyway, thanks since now!
nice one, i'll test in a few minutes!
