Probably your battery is the problem because of the impact, replace your battery and see if that work

Before trying to buy something you may not need, between the moment of you're dropped your phone, sur that there is anything else ?
If you havn't too much data try hard reset, i've yet dropped my phone too many time and i had never this prob, luck maybe but check hard reset before.
Check Greenify too before to buying something ^^
Use battery calibration app. It might help you.

Guys! We all know that MMX SC are pathetic and they make us pathetic in front of everyone...
My case has gone beyond limits...
As my phone touch had stopped working I gave it to MMC here in Hyd...
Today I got my cell phone from SC after 3 and a half months...
I will never ever buy MMX device ever again...
Fine bros, leave my pathetic story behind, and as you may know when we submit our phone in SC they give our battery back to us so it stays with us...
So my battery stayed idle for that period. And now it is behaving so weird that when it is at 100 it doesn't drop at all and after some time of use it drops suddenly to 50% at this moment phone restarts. after some time like half an our or so it will drop again to 20% and restarts. Again after some time it drops to 0% and doesn't switch on at all. after ten minutes it starts and shows 50%.
I know it is Batter calibration problem, so i request one of you who feels their battery performance is good to provide me the file "batterstats.bin"which you can pull out from "data\system\batterstats.bin ".
I tried battery calibration processes and non of them work and mysteriously my phone lost that file. So i feel it is the reason for my problem..
Thank you guys.

Just wipe Battery Cache from CWM....Itll rebuild the stats itself... Dont use another device's stats.... Its nothing but stats...Wont increase battery Power

I did wipe battery cache, and It didn't create battery stats file...
Using the stats file from the same brand is not gonna effect the rom in any way, can't understand the reason why i shouldn't with my experience...
When we talk about calibration its all about stats dude, nevertheless to say they are very important, that is the reason why they kept "batterstats.bin".
Even if we wipe, so that device creates new one, it takes few battery cycles to fill up the optimized stats, hope you understand, after using the provided batterystats.bin my device's stats are pretty stable..
So silly that you were raising the point of "raising the battery power", If you have read my post, you would have already found out that I was never expecting to raise battery power by just replacing the mere stats... It is all about calibration so it is all about stats...
Any way thanks for your inputs...
I have lost touch too . Will go to mmx svc on Thursday . I month warranty left . Second time my phone having problems . First time speaker problem. In call speaker . Now touch problem . Never mediatek chinese crap again ever . Back to my Nokia c7 and Samsung s3 .

Any one can say me address of SC bcoz my screen has been broken..I am living in hyd
Thanks in advance.
Running kitkat, battery recently replaced. all good for a month.
Yesterday the phone suddenly switched off , i switched it on again and the battery had jumped down about 40%.
It crashed again but then remained stable for the rest of the day.
Tonight (at 50% battery remaining) i got a sudden warning "6% battery remaining" and it crashed again, i switched on again and the battery went back to normal , around 40%, stable since.
Any ideas or is the phone on the way out ?
Did you buy an official N5 battery? It looks like a faulty battery...
This is the one i ordered
https://www.replacebase.co.uk/lg-nexus-5-d820-replacement-battery-bl-t9-original-6818/
Phone seems ok today so far, would wiping the cache be worth a try ?
Thanks for the help.

It can't do any harm but it won't help in this situation.
Try the following:
1. Let the battery go to 5% then charge your device to 100%
2. Disconnect the cable
3. Reconnect it and check if the battery level is at 100%. If not keep charging. If 100% disconnect and reboot. Then reconnect until 100%
These steps worked for some users (even if steps 1 & 2 should be enough IMHO).
Moreover you can try to remove apps or flash the factory images to check if the problem persists. If nothing works then your last attempt is to send it back to ReplaceBase.
thanks for taking the time to reply, will try your suggestions,
Just had another strange battery drain, captured it on this screenshot.
You can see battery just takes a sudden dive and recovers somewhat.

I have just read a nice thread about massive battery drain. Check this out.
His explanations fit with your battery stats.
Thanks for that, will have a browse, but would it explain my phone suddenly dying at 50% ?

I guess. Anyway you should follow the above steps and clean up your device by removing useless apps/features. Finally flashing factory images is sometimes a good thing to start from scratch.
Thanks again
I just tried your first suggestion, charged till 100% then disconnect, it immediately dropped to 99% so i recharged to 100%
Then disconnected and rebooted, weirdly when the phone rebooted it said the battery was now at 19% ,
Back on charge again.
Ugh.... Good luck but I would bet on a faulty battery. You'll probably have to send it back if you can use the warranty.
Did you have the same issue after receiving the new battery? Did you change several things of your setup (kernel, new apps...)?
Going from 100% to 19% can't be explained by the above thread. IMO no apps, no kernel, no software can explain this drop. Some folks say that it can also be caused by the motherboard...
Replacebase have promised to send me out a new battery , they too think its likely a dodgy battery, top customer service so far, hopefully it wont take too long to arrive.
I didnt change anything on my phone, perhaps updated some apps , its stock Kitkat,,, meanwhile Is there any way to check the health of the motherboard ? i don't like the sound of that.

Without profesionnal tools we can't check this AFAIK. Don't worry about the motherboard. It was only a suggestion reported by a few users. Chances are your problem will be solved after receiving the new battery.
ok thought as much, battery charged up to 100%, rebooted and now at 60%.
Ill put back in the old battery for now and see how it behaves. thanks for you help

Screen battery use that big is actually a good thing. It means that the screen is the biggest consumer and the rest of the phone is very efficient at idling.
Screen battery consumption is pretty much fixed. It varies only with brightness.
Can't see anything wrong on those screens.

It always depends on what you're doing with your device.
Doing a factory reset should be the easiest way to go., if you think there's something wrong.
(Don't forget to backup important data.)
On what firmware are you?
i try reset my phone and nothing happen
my system is android 7 (L29C185B560)
Hello all,
Having pretty bad battery life with my Pixel (<1 hr SOT before battery dies when it used to be capable of ~3hrs)
Please see photos link -- I don't know where to start but I will not do another factory reset (I have done a couple already and they seem to help for a few weeks but then it is back to the usual issues)
What do you guys think I should do??

Hi there,
Some pretty bad battery indeed. Did you try BetterBatteryStats to go a little deeper in to see wich app or process is the culprit?
I recommend to do so. BBS is in the app forums.
Cheers

Battery life has magically improved the following day -- will try your suggestion the next time I start having issues
Thanks
I recommend factory reset....
hava u ever replace ur battery for a test?how long have u buy ur pixel
So my sister upgraded her phone and gave me her old Galaxy S7. It has a problem, when left idle, it will drain its battery to 0%, essentially shutting itself down. But I tried watching a 50 minute video on it and it lost 20%. So theoretically, it should have about 4 hrs of video playback capacity.
So my question is, will replacing the battery solve this problem? Or could the problem be something else? Cause I really don't wanna go out and buy a new battery for this, without being certain first.
Thank you all for your responses!

If the phone is working normally, the possible reason is battery or a bug in a management service of the battery. Make e full backup, do a factory reset and see again.

My sister had this problem before she handed this phone to me. I reformatted it as soon as I got it.
So do you think that replacing the battery will really solve this?

Turn Airplane mode on the phone and leave to for a couple of hours. Then check it again.
