Error 7 in TWRP - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Currently running CM12 (5.0.2) and trying to flash up to Resurrection Rom 7.1.
Flashing TWRP 3.0.3.2 and updated firmware. When trying to flash the ROM I'm getting an Error 7 and it won't move ahead.
Is there something else I need to do before going from CM12 to CM14 base?

Yes, the new CM versions enforce SE-Linux and need a special recovery. It is linked in the CM11 thread.

Try updating your twrp, current twrp is 2.7. Especially if flashing KK.
Pp.
you flash before kernel for your rom, after flash rom
ROMs come with a kernel, no need to flash kernel unless you have issues, Developers use the best kernel for the ROM they make, you should only change it if you have a problem, otherwise run the ROM for a couple of days and test it out.

Error 7 is typical of an old recovery
Latest TWRP is 2.8.0.1, while your image shows 2.1

Use the fastboot version of MIUI on MiFlash or if coming from custom rom. The zip file is only for the updater app/mi recovery.
If you are getting any error codes please share for troubleshooting purposes.

Using fastboot image from the Xiaomi website is the best and recommended.....,Don't use the Recovery ROM (Full ROM) if you are coming back from a custom ROM.....

Boot to twrp recovery via pc fastboot command or if you have it flashed and flash the latest rom

Will flashing the latest Android 13 image and just restoring to factory settings work? I currently have the last version of Android 11.
