I used to have the problem of not being able to access the hotspot feature of my phone AT&T lg g3. I went through a lot of threads on a lot of websites but i couldn't really find a satisfactory answer. But after a lot of searching and experimenting i found something really good. The easiest and best solution there is to the problem.
NOTE: my phone is an lg g3 at&t d850 running android 6.0
You'll need two apps: there
•kingroot ( this is an easy to use root app which can easily unroot as well. U wont find it on the playstore. Only on the apps official website)
•build.prop editor
Here are the steps:
•firstly install kingroot and root ur phone. If kingroot doesnt work u could always try other apps
•next in the root authorization menu of kingroot, give build.prop editor root access
•next open build.prop editor and search for the parameter "ro.build.target_operator" it should be 'ATT' change the value to 'OPEN' and save. If the app says that it has trouble saving then u probably didnt give it root access.
•now restart ur phone and the hotspot should work.
Note that after restarting ur phone kingroot automatically unroots and all root access is gone

I have this tablet and coudl'nt find anything to root it, until now I found "root master" I cant post any links just search it here and ull find it, its in Chinese but just find the instructions, now they say that this send your phone s/n and iemi to a china server idk but to be on the safe side just put your phone on airplane mode..lol once you install it it will have 2 Chinese apps "superuser" and a Store I believe... I removed them and my root was gone, so what is did next was to install super user"american"..lol then gave it permission with the other chinese super user the I went on to update the SU with super user once its updated (u might have to do it twice) fell free to remove your chines apps and enyoy your phone.. I also rooted my Samsung stellar with this. and this doesn't work on the motorola ultra 4.4 or Samsung galaxy stratosphere II
also id disconnect from the internet and remove the installed software to be on the safe side before connecting back to the internet.
in order to delete china superuser u will have to make it a user app and not a system app
I can now add links
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2403230 for the root master
I rooted my phone with stump root but i decided i didnt really need root access. I want to unroot to recieve OTA updates. I unrooted with SuperUser with the "full unroot" option. I installed a root checker to make sure and it said i didnt have root access. I tried to install the update but it told me that my device was suspected in rooting. I then ttried the method with ES File Explorer but i wasnt able to use root explorer and it wouldnt allow me to delete the busybox file. I dont have access to a PC, only mac, so i cant use LG PC Suite. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Did you try restarting device then check for root ? Did you delete all root files and folders ?

Hey
So I have a rooted Lenovo TB2-x30l running android 5.1.1-
It is rooted with Kingroot.
Now I am trying to install Applock and it wants usage access, sure i find the app in the list and i activate it.
But when I go back and try to lock apps again it asks for the same thing but it is already ON.....
I have even tried using the app (AppOps) to see if it has root acess and it has.
One strange thing I have found, I do not know if it is related is that under accessabiity and services Kingroot is ON and some other programs are OFF,
No matter which order I do it if I put kingroot OFF, or just try and put any other service on ON in 10min they will be reset like it was before again..... WHY ?
I do not have SuperSU installed, should I install that? Would that help somehow?
Thanks in advance!
Try alternate apps
If you root Your device with kingroot app, You wont have SuperSU. Instead, you'll have the same kingroot app to manage superuser rights. The kingroot app will do the same work you suppose SuperSU to do. Don't worry, thats not the issue. I too tried Applock app on my lenovo vibe smartphone without any luck. Use CM SECURITY app. It is an all-in-one security app with app lock feature. It's free and easy to use as well. It doesnt require root permissions. Check it out in Playstore.
Hope this helps!:good:
HIT THANKS
Hello, I'm having a problem with opening up an google pay wallet because my phone is read as rooted. The thing is it is not rooted. I rooted in a previous version of MIUI but after updating the root fell apart and I didn't have root permission's nor is my phone found rooted by root checker. Yet I st ll have problems.
how do I unroot an unrooted phone
Edit: root checker finds that root is not properly installed
Xiaomi mi 9 Lite
Android (And most Linux distros) will have a binary file namer "superuser" to give root access to a user (Or simply just switch to the root user)
The problem is simple: You updated while having root permissions, and this caused you to be the superuser (also known as root) while not having properly functioning root access. You can't do much, try flashing a new ROM maybe.
I want to remove root Access altogether not try and reroot it. Unless fully rooting again would help me unroot
Disable all permissions from Google play service and set up Google pay.
Then re enable them after your Google pay is set up.
Im adding google pay to an existing bank account, i still tried but it doesnt work. would factory resetting maybe help? i know it doesnt delete system files so it wouldnt unroot a rooted phone but maybe it might just work?
