Upgrading build NDE63N -> NMF26O question. - Google Pixel Questions & Answers

Couldn't find the answer anywhere, been digging for awhile. I'm currently running NDE63N, which I believe is a Verizon pixel model. 2 questions:
1. is the hardware the same for the Verizon version of the pixel and the general unlocked version of the pixel? I ask this wondering if I can install any sailfish OTA update/factory image to my device?
2. can I directly upgrade from build NDE63N to NMF26O using the OTA file from here? https://developers.google.com/android/ota
Thanks ahead of time for helping out, very grateful for any advice given.

You should be fine. Google released a unified build this time, so there should be no issues.
You should also be able to update from an older build because the OTAs on Google's site are larger than the build to build (eg., NDE63U to NDE63V) ota zips.
Worst case scenario, the OTA is not compatible and it will refuse to install through sideload. You can then just reboot the phone and use it as it was.

Need help catching up on this phone

Hi,
I am new to this particular phone. There's so much information here, and although I've tried to search through it I'm still overwhelmed by it all - so I'm hoping someone might be willing to help with a few questions.
I have the XT1540 model, and could use some help. I have the stock rom with TWRP intalled and backups. I was notified that I have the Marshmallow update available, but I can't install due to TWRP. I prefer to keep the Motorola provided ROM. Since this was just released, I assume no one has posted the Marshmallow "stock" rom - is that correct?
I know asking for an ETA is poor form, but you guys know these forums and what can be expected - any idea when a backup image of the Motorola provided Marshmallow rom might be posted?
I assume I can't restore the stock bootloader in order to complete the Marshmallow installation - is this correct?
Final question: Is there a highly stable, all-features-intact custom Marshmallow ROM that comes highly recommended?
Thanks in advance,
Chris
There is no estimate as to when the full stock of MM will be available. There is a TWRP backup of the final soak available over in the General forum. It's been the last soak for quite a while now and I suspect it's the final. I've run all the soaks and that last release is running perfectly on my XT1540 1gb model. It is a backup from a 2gb version but that doesn't matter, it works on either model. Once flashed you won't get the OTA but then with TWRP you won't get that anyway.

Downgrade from Pie

I updated to Pie and I hate it. I want to go back to the latest updated version of Oreo just before the Pie upgrade. I'm with Telstra in Australia and can only find the Oreo version form Telstra from September 2017. Is it possible to install that version and apply updates right up just before Pie?
Are you concerned that factory images that do not list a specific carrier or region are not suitable for installation on a Telestra device? For example, 8.1.0 (OPM2.171026.006.G1, Jul 2018) does not call out a region or carrier. The initial Pixel 2 factory image and several later images do not list a carrier or region.
Perhaps you can back up your current install, try the November 2018, and see you like it better. If not, attempt to downgrade to 8.1.0 (OPM2.171026.006.G1, Jul 2018). If the downgrade fails, reinstall your 9.0 backup.
For what it's worth, I have not done this and recommend searching the forum for people who have tried to downgrade: https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-2/help/to-downgrade-android-9-0-t3850398
Hope this helps somewhat.

Pie was released in October. The September update would be the most recent image for Oreo. You can install it but if you do, you won't be able to update your phone again. All future updates will be Pie. What I'm saying is you won't be able to install future updates without installing the Pie update first. There is no more Oreo after September.
Yeah I'm not interested in upgrading any further than the last Oreo version. So many features of pie are just not to my liking. I can't back up my current install because I haven't unlocked my bootloader or rooted yet. Mainly because Oreo was so good there was no real reason for me to bother. Now I'm forced to, to get rid of this terrible version of android.

What I think @robocuff means is that you will not receive any security patches going forward. All subsequent patches will be for Pie only.

Yeah I understand that. That's why I wanted to get the latest Oreo before pie so I was as up to date as possible. I don't care about updating any further. I just want a decent ROM, which in my opinion, Pie is far from.
Thanks for the input guys.

FWIW, I have a T-Mobile S22 Ultra that I fully flashed to the US Unlocked version (XAA) & the Samsung Members app still recognizes it as a T-Mobile device.
As I mentioned in another thread, I am on the One UI 5 Beta, so, I can guess that the T-Mobile &/or US Unlocked versions are currently open to the Beta & AT&T isn't (as of August 7,2022).
Did you end up manually flashing the Beta via ADB?

I currently have "11.2.22.2.LE54CB" and apparently for some reason it doesn't update even to newer security patches the last update it had was in august of 2021.

Can you check the app in the playstore under Oxygen Updater. Report back if no update download...
You may have to switch to global firmware as far as I can tell T-Mobile hasn't released the OnePlus 9 android 12L update at all.

This is the same version you got after reflashing via MSM tool for t-mobile. Your local vender turned off its updates via adb to protect the patch if you are from Pk

Question Factory Image Reflash of Pixel 7a. which Build to choose?

Please can anyone confirm what is the current indian variant build no version of Pixel 7a? I want to flash the factory images of Pixel 7a as I'm getting very much battery drain issue but I'm confused which build should i download for India. There are 4 builds available in Google Developer.
Thank you in advance
I believe, unlike Samsung, Google is releasing the same firmware build for all regions, except if you bought your phone from a carrier. I would recommend you download the latest build, which was released in May 2023.
Here is the latest build
13.0.0 (TQ2B.230505.005.A1, May 2023)
Also, If you try to use Android flash tool, which is an online tool, it will automatically give you the latest build for your device. If you don't know, here is the tutorial on how to use flash tool.
Thank you so much
