Can you collect the logs immediately after reproducing the issue.?

Hi!
My HTC One X can't finish syncing "People details" under my google account..
This results in a 4hr battery life..
Did factory reset #15+ and skipped all settings and then created a temporary Gmail account and that works flawlessly...
Everything works with my account until the Google Play Services updates and the "People details" is included it fails..
So there's something seriously wrong with my Gmail account..
So how do I reset it so my People Details sync start to work again?
Any idea what it's trying to sync with people details?
Since I've bought lots of apps and have tens of thousands of "followers" on G+
due to my hobby, deleting the account is not a solution...
What do I do??
Hope someone here at XDA can help me...
Google doesn't seem to offer any help at all unfortunately...

I've been having the same problem on my CM 10.1 RC 5 Galaxy Nexus (toro). Definitely destroys my battery w/ constantly trying to sync. I just turned it off - i will report if there are any adverse effects that I notice, but a quick check by changing a contact ensures those are still syncing.

You can switch it off without any issues..
Haven't noticed any anyway...
What's a bit strange is that this error actually follows you account and not your device..
I can reproduce it on any android device...
I.e. it's my frickin' account...
The best part is that if you contact Google Play support, which seems to be right right place
since People Details comes with Google Play services, they tell you to contact Google Plus Support..
Which gives you the following issues:
1: you can't contact anyone since they don't have a support site which actually puts you in contact with someone alive/breathing
2:Google+ Help on Google plus tells you to contact, yup, you guessed it.. Google Play services..
3: Why just says they can't help since it's a Plus issue and that they only handle refunds... ?
If you want to contact Google Play services
you can do so on [email protected]...

Nope.. Nothing you do will help actually...
'Cause it's a bug in People Details sync adapter according to Google+ Help..
After spending a lot of time with Google+ help I was asked send in bugreports
from my devices and just a few days after that I got this reply
Our engineering teams were able to find the issue by using the reports you sent along.
They will fix this in the next release, which should be in the next few weeks.
They did tell us to pass along their thanks for bringing this issue to our attention!

I then asked if they could perhaps be a bit more precise in what the error was but then
ît got all silent...
I still recommend you to contact Google+ help and push them to fix it..
It's just to post a message to Google+ Help on G+...
If it helps you can just mention you have the same issue as "Per Ardne",
they can find our conversations...

Galaxy Note II here using Carbon ROM 1.7 and facing this same issue, but not facing battery drain.
The last time it was synchronized here was July 18 at 10:11 AM, and the white sync symbol persists there, but it never spins, it's just there stopped. And I don't think it's trying to sync over the day.
Even after disabling and enabling it again, it does not updates and the white sync symbol stays there, although stopped, forever...
same problem here too on the Galaxy S4 GE. Hope they fix it soon.

Hi, I've got a Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 device.
I have a problem with Viber.
The video files and photo files that I received with viber from my friends look like broken, I don't know wath's happened?
If I see the conversations I can see the photos, but if I go to search on the viber's folder I can't see those and I can't open the photos files. Also if I search on the viber's photo folder from my computer when I connect the phone I can't open the photos or videos.
I send you a pictures of wath my phone show when I open the viber's folder.
You can help me to solve this problem?

I ran into the same issue. In the first run, I succeeded in deleting the photos in gallery and/or in file manager. Few days later "broken" photos showed up again. Finally 20000 additional photos/24 hours. I deinstalled viber. However Androit does not let me delete that huge amount of files all at once. Photo by photo works but will keep me buys for years,. Androit file transfer on Mac does not handle the viber folder with that amount of files.
Any Idee how to contact Viber to let them remove "broken" photos? At least Viber put them on my device.

Wondering if anyone can help me fix this issue. Only started occurring today for some reason after a reboot.
Basically I'm logged in to XDA with the app, however I can't reply or view notifications etc as it comes up with an error "security error (user may not have permission to access this feature)"
The same error occurs when I try with tapatalk.
Strangely though I'm still getting notifications like before, I just can't view them when I open the apps.
I can log in with no problems using tapatalk on my iPad and using web browser.
Tried clearing cache, reinstalling apps, wiping app data and reboot with no success.
Is there any way to get these working again?
Also, this doesn't happen when I'm on wifi. I searched these forums and google and found one post from 2011 saying to uncheck 3g compatibility in settings but I can't find that setting anywhere in the app or in general phone rings

Same issue, i thought at first it may have been redirects through tapatalk servers breaking. Disabled those, with crappalins. After doing that it persisted and then found links from 2012/13 where the problem existed and they said that any links that involved search would be disabled via applications to help server load(as they were under heavy load)
I can't confirm as nobody else is talking about it but I'm still effected on/off. Hard linked threads like "Q&A" of any given device will work but things that require a search like "participated" for your username don't generally work.
Not a solution, but sharing of sufferage.

Do you also have the same problem with the XDA app? I find it really strange that this behaviour occurs over 2 apps.
It's also started occurring intermittently now ; may work completely fine for 3 days then it breaks for a couple of days.
I don't use XDA app but it's not the app. All times I've read of it both apps are effected. Its server side whether mobile portal overload or intentional dispersement of traffic by server Admins.

I have a somewhat similar problem, I can't seem to use this app while on my home wifi, but if I connect to my mobile network (Verizon) the app loads and works perfectly. My home wifi always causes the app to say failure to load, even though everything else with my home wifi works. Ive tried clearing data, uninstalling/reinstalling. No luck.

First of all, you revived a thread from 2014 lol.

Im having problems with this App WhatsApp+/WhatsApp. It crash one or two times per day and causes me to reload my backup conversations from last backup it made it self. So the problems is that i dont know whats happening, i try everything, full wipe, reflash my actual ROM Carbon build 11/06 and the problems persist. At first, i thought it was WhatsApp+ because is moded but i installed WhatsApp from the playstore today and it still crashing causing me to reload the backup conversations. I send the log to Rafalanse from the WhatsApp+ and he always said that im using another versions and i do what he told me but it doesnt work.
If someone please has experienced this, feel free to reply, if not, can you give another advice to do ?

I didnt receive any Killer-Message but I Know what you talking about, i try to do that on a group but didnt work.
I solve my problem, maybe it was that message but im not very sure because my messages backup was corrupted and i just delete all of my messages and start it again. I found on google that i could fix my messages backup but the to do list were to difficult to me and i just forget it and start again.
But thanks for the feedback, maybe that message causes the corruption of my conversations backup.

Hello there!
I'm having problems again with my WhatsApp, after i started again from 0 and now it's happening again. My WhatsApp crash everyday single day and loose all of my messages since last backup at 4AM. This is annoying, i complained on WhatsApp Feedback but it didn't work they never respond me.

There is no dialog even with "Show All ANR's" on and it's a tad frustrating. Is there a way to find out a crash history? I have a bug report but 13mb worth of raw text that I am unable to extract relevant information off of.
It's a L720 with a custom GPE 4.4 rom

May try using cat log form the playstor and taking a log of what's happening with your phone. (Should be able to see there errors then)
