Hello, I'm on CM14 and Xposed doesn't work with Nougat, so I was wondering if there was an alternate way of modifying/customizing the lockscreen. I'm not a big fan of the default clock widget and would like to get rid of everything except notifications. I haven't been able to find anything other than the third party lockscreen replacements, none of which really work that well for me. Anyone have any ideas?

Okay, thanks. I was hoping for something that I could do without having to wipe my phone and install a new ROM, but I'll definitely keep it in mind.

I was wondering if talented themers or someone with the knowledge could update this method to work with current roms such as CM6.1?
Original post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=610013
I know there are apps such as lockbot that can change the lockscreen background, but I dont want to replace my lockscreen, I like the default one that comes with CM. I just need a method to change only the background wallpaper. Anyone up for this?
edit: ignore the "*rate" I dont know why that is there
it's impossible. others and myself have asked god knows how many times and always the same answer. it's impossible to do on the stock lockscreen, which sucks.

But I thought that CM uses stericson's lock screen? I think I remember seeing it in the changelog a while back, I could be wrong
Why not, should be possible in CM...
probably not exactly the old way, but one could add the background to the proper xml, compile framework and then you just morph the background what u want.
If I'm not mistaken, the Sense ROMs have this capability, which sucks for anybody using Stock / AOSP.
I would think CM had a built in method of doing this by now....
Well, I guess no one knows how to do this? =(

Ah, I know, I might get killed, but is there a way to get HTC Sense StatusBar Icons (network, wlan, battery) to the N5? I liked them a lot on my HTC devices and miss them now.

Do people really find it difficult to Google?

There is a way, but it would look really weird with the other parts of stock android. All you have to do is decompile the HTC systemui.apk and the N5 apk, then swap all the status bar PNGs.

Hi,
And you need a rom with Theme Chooser, maybe the OP don't want to flash a rom like CM..., for sure it will be more difficult.

But he didn't state what ROM he had. He only asked how he could get sense icons.
Hey, thanks everybody for the suggestions. I'm running stock 4.4.2 and want to stay there. Xposed and Gravity serves all my modding needs. I will have a look to ex-themer. Another launcher is no option though. My N5 runs so stable and smooth (far far better than my previous HTCs with multiple custom roms). Maybe I really should extract the icons from the UI app. Only question is what happens with scaling.

Nothing happens because both phones are XXHDPI. You have to get the images from the HTC One or another HTC phone with a 1080p screen. You should try it, but make a backup so if it doesn't work you don't have to flash the entire factory image.
I thought I'd share with everyone that the app/home replacement named THEMER is finally LG G3 Compatible as of today.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mycolorscreen.themer&hl=en
If you aren't familiar, all you do is install the app, chose from one of over a hundred themes you like, and apply it. Widgets, backgrounds, everything on yours will look just like the pictures in the app gallery.
I've been using it for quite some time on my Nexus 5, and was happy to find out it worked fine on the G3 via restore from TIBU when I upgraded.
Doesn't work for me, can't get no themes. Says it's officially supported but says me phone isn't compatible.

You have to be using a stock/oem DPI and navigation bar height. If you change either, it won't work well if at all.
I updated this morning and it is working fine for me still. Perhaps uninstall and reinstall?
Good news! Long time waiting! Works perfect here.

I had this problem are you using G3 tweakbox? if so go into it then the themes section then navigation bar and turn the switch to make it go to stock again, then reboot. This fixed it for me.

Ah, silly me. I changed the dpi back to stock but didn't think about the nav bar height. Thanks fellas ☺
I changed the dpi to stock with app settings module and still doesn't work hmmmm
So I changed the entire system dpi... But I couldn't get the nav bar transparent so
Once everything is back to stock you'll probably have to reboot

Can't I force it somehow to work on modified DPI and navbar? Stock is just too big. I suppose I could set a custom DPI for the launcher only via App settings (the xposed module), but can I do the same for the navbar somehow?
This is awesome! Thanks for the heads up! Going to take some getting used to not using the knock to unlock lol
Edit: hmm knock still works!

Nope.
Actually, the only other way to get it to work I read about in their subforums here. You have to change the DPI and Navbar in a manner that still gives you a supported resolution in the end. I don't have any problems with the stock nav bar, though I've got mine themed. some of the themed navbars have small buttons on them.
If you can install the app, you should be able to look at themes, you just can't use the Browse Themes/Trending/newest/Most Popular sections, When you apply others, they may not look right since your resolution is off. I don't think they plugged this loophole yet.

Don't know what the issue is. DPI has to be stock, status bar needs to be stock size and so does nav bar. If they all are, it should work fine.
If they are, and it isn't, you should post in their forums.

That's the thing, everything still works. The launcher portion is pretty customizable too.

Well in the browse section it points out that I have the wrong resolution, it doesn't do it at the categories, but they don't show anything. What's the stock navbar height? 48p?

What I used to do on my old phone is set it to stock, download the theme and set it, then change my phone to how I liked it. Most of the time that worked just fine, pain in the ass I know but worth a go if you want themer.

Hello all,
I am unable to use custom fonts with my KWGT/Zooper Widgets. In fact, I can't even use the built in fonts that come with both of those apps. They simply show up as the default font.
Example, attachment #1 is how it should look. Attachment #2 is how it does look after choosing.
I haven't had this issue on any other phones, figuring its a Honor/Huawei thing. I'm hoping somebody has a work around for this.
Thanks!
I figured out that it just defaults back to the default font. How do I keep it from doing this with widgets?

yes, you have to keep defaults to have zooper custom fonts
I have it on the default and it's not working.
Even apps like Over won't show the custom fonts.

I switched back to the stock Halo theme and it wouldn't fix the font issue. I had to reset my settings before custom fonts would start working again.

default works for me , i am pretty dissapointed that i can t use other fonts, I've used product sans till now and it's strange to go back to default
Does somebody know hot to fix this? After Oreo update, I can finally change the font on my Honor 8 even if I'm not using English as system language; but every time I change the system font, the fonts of all my widgets stop working. It's a really strange behavior for a customization app, I'm forced to choose between keeping my widgets and the custom font! How could this be possible? Using these widgets for customization prevents me from doing a 100% customization of the phone!!!

Unfortunately I'm aware of this, I've had a brief conversation with the developer of the app, who had told me that this a bug caused by Huawei this is so annoying!!
Does anyone know if there's a way to force the dark text on the lock screen clock? It'll change if the wallpaper is light enough as pic 1 shows but I'd like it to stay that way for any wallpaper like in pic 2.
Thanks in advance
just use some random dark substratum theme if you have root

Thanks for the suggestion. I know that's possible with root and substratum but I was looking for a solution without rooting, not because I'm against it but because I just don't need to for any other reason right now. I'll try it on a back up phone and who knows, I may like it better but I'm wondering if it's possible to trick the UI into changing it. There must be some check for every wallpaper applied and if you hit the right flags, it switches. I'd like to try and figure out what it is.

Sounds good. The only way(s) in my knowledge are by utilizing root but good lucky finding an alternative
