Is there anyway to change the font style system wide on a rooted Pixel? Thanks
Im wanting to know as well. Last I heard TWRP isn't applying flashable fonts correctly. Not wishing to risk it until a stable TWRP is released personally

Just for sh*ts and giggles to test, I used fontster to play with.
I tried 2 fonts, it worked fine, I am rooted

A default theme is what it would look like after a fresh install

the default theme, if i'm not wrong, is the android stock theme. which is the one, in my opinion, every rom should include as default, or at least, as an option (cm 6.1.3 from wolfbreak is awesome, but i don't like the theme)
i think you can get it reflashing the rom

Why don't you just extract the framework from beta 4 and use it on wolfs cm6.1.3
Or install beta 4 and add Cm settings, then add apps etc from wolfs rom?
Just a thought

Thanks for the reply guys. Maybe I should have been more specific. I'm currently using Z's freeX10 beta 4 and the thing is I don't want to reflash every thing or else I'd need to customize everything back to the way it is. Too time consuming haha. Basically I want it because when I installed another theme before, some aspects of the theme remained on my phone even though I installed another theme. I'm not sure how to get rid of them, so I was hoping the default theme would get rid of them. I'll attach pictures to this post in a few minutes to show you what I mean. And yeah, I did try to extract the framework from the beta 4 but i failed miserably, It didn't let me install it through recovery
EDIT: attached pictures from phone. basically I really hate that youtube icon and I wanna get rid of it and revert it back to the normal one.
You wont be able to install framework through xrecovery, you would have to swap it using root explorer and change permissions, reboot then it should be fine
But make sure you copy the framework that was on before just in case anything happens, and/or backup using xrecovery for safety

Get ROM Toolbox. Get pro to support JRummy it is a great app, worth every penny. Interface has font installer.

Ahh. Other users experience problems on font installer. Like stucking up on bootscreen. Did you already tried font installer on JB or cm10?

It works, I'm not 100% certain on which fonts are safe to overwrite other than
Clocktopia
Androidclock
Droidsans
Droidsans bold
Roboto regular
were safe to be overwritten with sonysketch

Hi, I'm also having this problem on my newly upgraded CM10. I used to use Type Fresh to replace fonts on CM7/CM9 without problems, but now I'm encountering boot loops. (solution: reflash CM10 without wiping /data and you can break the boot loop and get CM10 stock font again)
Permission error? Why is this happening on Android 4.1.2? I DON'T LIKE ROBOTO AT ALL!
Actually I'm running Jelly Bean Rom Stock 4.1 and I've been trying to change the font, but without succes.I already tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1847203 but doesn't work. Someone know how to change the font?

I've been using Rom toolbox to do it for me on jb .... in the options some where is ask what fonts to replace and I choose all 50 or so of them.
And don't restart cause it will reset
Also it isn't changing all the font but most of the apps change and the app drawer
It's not that great really because of the restart issue but it will get figured out soon

Is there a way to change the font?
I tried a metamorph tutorial that's like 2 years old and got stuck in boot so I had to restore my tab 2 10.1... So anyone know?

Which ROM are you on? on stock-ish roms, in settings -> display there is a Font style and Font size available.
You're trying to change font to build in one or you want to use different font ?
I am on the April 2nd cm nightly. And I found an app that called "font changer * root *" that did it haha. But it only some what did it. Is there a way to force it completely into apps?

Hi everyone.
Looking to see if anyone was able to install different fonts. Usually I use Root Tool Box and the font module within the app. Does not seem to be working.... Anyone know why? I've booted into recovery mode and still no dice.

+1 for Font Installer, working great on mine.

I started to plug my phone into the USB and actually ADB to ensure I'm in write bypass mode. Sometimes, I cannot explain, booting recovery does not trip the bypass. I must be doing something wrong.
Anyhow, got it working yesterday and am now rocking 4.4 fonts. Thanks guys.
Font installer force closing for me.
*Update* After a reboot it's working.
