I've had the same case for the Galaxy S6. It certainly had high quality material, but was way too thick. The TPU bumper felt more like a tube, lol.
I got one of these a few weeks ago at the same price. its...not awful.
Biggest problem is that its EXTREMELY slippery. There is no texture at all for grip. I have never dropped a phone by accident before until using my XL in this case. Luckily it didn't get damaged, but I quickly switched back to my Otterbox Defender until I can find a thin case with some grip. Hopefully SupCase comes out with a Unicorn Beetle Pro for the XL.

That's really subjective. It's not bulky like a dual layer ruggedized case. But it's thicker than a regular TPU case. The back is hard, clear plastic, with clear TPU sides. The only really bulky part is the corners. They are thicker and raised to help protect from falls.
I think it feels really nice in the hand, and just adds enough thickness to have a nice grip and feel in hand.
Code:
I got the Choetech for free for review, it's the same as this one, rebranded.
1.6mm Thick, turns yellow and the "protective" corners are just aweful.
Totally change the look and feel of the Pixel.
But to each their own, Thank goodness I got mine free.
I would not recommend to anyone no matter how cheap.
You get what you pay for.

Just bought an N4. There are a lot of comments here about various screen and body protectors. I prefer the Otterbox Commuter for my phones, but they don't make one for the N4. I'm considering the Rearth Ringke SLIM case and the Halo HD or Spigen SGP Ultra Crystal. Does this case look good on the N4? Does it offer good protection?
http://www.amazon.com/LF-White-Prem...e=UTF8&qid=1367761966&sr=8-8&keywords=nexus+4
http://www.amazon.com/Halo-Screen-P...e=UTF8&qid=1367761966&sr=8-6&keywords=nexus+4
http://www.amazon.com/SPIGEN-SGP-SG...id=1367763690&sr=1-11&keywords=nexus+4+screen
The SLIM cases will offer some minimal protection against bumps and dings on the back, sides and corners but the top and botton on the phone are left exposed. These cases are made for those who want minimal bulk not maximum protection. I have the black and white and they look good on the Nexus 4.
I don't use screen protectors as I never get a clean install and my OCD gets the better of me but when I did Spigen and BSE were my choices.
Because the N4 is glass all around, isn't more protection better? What's the equivalent of the Commuter series? Have you had any problems with scratches and dings with your SLIM case?

The case offers more protection than a bare phone and being my phone is just a week old and I am careful with it so far so good. I also have a couple of cruzerlite TPU cases if I want a little more protection.
Get a bumper. The back is too sexy to be hidden under a case. Bumpers provide sufficient protection to prevent the back from cracking.

Hmm there are only two choices to choose from.
1) Official LG Bumper: https://play.google.com/store/devic...ExMSwiZGV2aWNlLW5leHVzXzRfYnVtcGVyX2JsYWNrIl0.
I personally have this. It has its pros and cons.
Some of its pros are that... the buttons are AMAZING to use. It will make your normal buttons feel so much better because it has a "click" to it where other cases do not. Some of the cons are that it does slightly make your phone bulkier, and that there is a possible design flaw where the usb cracks. Google does refunds if this happens.
Alternatively, if its too pricey. You can give a try for one of the replicas which are of the same quality (XDA accessories has a whole thread on this).
http://www.amazon.com/Google-Bumper...Sleeve/dp/B00C7RTSQ6/ref=pd_rhf_gw_p_t_1_DQZC multiple colors.
2) Poetic Bumper http://www.amazon.com/Poetic-Border...qid=1367771724&sr=1-1&keywords=poetic+nexus+4
Pros: Not as bulky as LG bumper
Cons: might not be as pretty as the official one, no click on buttons.
Both are great at great prices (especially the replica for the lg bumper). Its hard to decipher accessories because you never get an opportunity to try them out in person before buying. You can check out videos on YouTube, I'm sure there are a bunch of reviews out there.
The mercury TPU case.

I was wondering which case is better than the other?
I'm looking to keep the nexus 4 slim, sexy, and functional.
I narrowed it down to these two cases because of the clicky tactile feels (on the fusion revision) and the original bumper while maintaining slimness.
I got the bumper a week after I received my phone. Well, not the official one, but a replica of the LG one that's sold in the Play Store. The one I received off Amazon seemed fine, but after about a week of normal use, 2 cracks appeared - one on the bottom where the USB is, and the other on the power button.
I think that they appeared because of plugging in the phone and clicking the power button turning it on and off. The material (metal-looking plastic) that surrounds the bumper is flimsy on it's own, and with a certain amount of pressure and heat from the phone, it's prone to cracking.
If you Google around you'll find that a lot of people have had the same problem with the official one. I bought the same bumper for my friend too, but his is holding up well so far, so I'm not sure. The bumper seemed to have a tighter fit on his N4 whereas mine felt a little loose. He has been using it for a couple months as his was the first wave of N4 that were shipped out. I just got mine a little less than a month ago.
Switched over to the Ringke Fusion based on the number of excellent reviews it got both on XDA and Amazon. Took about a week to get here and because it is the revision, the buttons are clicky and give a good feedback. The case also doesn't add much bulk at all. While I do like the heft of carrying around the phone naked, the glass panels scare me. I never used cases on my old phones, but then again, they were plastic and metal. They sure could take a hit!
The Fusion makes the N4 feel more solid as it is, and it works well with wireless chargers. The only complaint I have about it is the back clear plastic tends to dirty quite easily, with scuffs, fingerprints. But then again, who takes time out of their day to gander at the back of the phone. Sure it's pretty but you'll be spending more of your time messing around with the front.

I remember when i bought my N4, I kept buying different bumpers because either they were too tight [messed up my screen protector], too bulky or did not protect my phone good enough. In January, I bought Ringke Fusion; been using it since then . Its not one of those cheap bumpers, you will definitely feel the quality. Its fits the phone very well and you wont feel the size of it in your hand or in your pocket.

LOL I would personally get the Fusion, and yes, most bumpers online are replicas even if they are in LG packaging. The normal bumpers cost about 20bux (USD) so that's a good gauge in authentic or not.
There's a thread somewhere comparing the packaging but basically, if there's a holo sticker on the back, mine is square that reads "Original accessories by LG".

Yes it fits fine. I have a custom and that's technically two skins of thickness in my areas and fits fine.
Post your reviews of cases or skins. I will update the op with links as new items become available. I currently have a tudia gel case and have ordered a few more. One skin that looks promising I will be ordering this week. I think the glow in the dark skin will look nice with a clear case or a frosted clear hard case. The tudia case is nice , does not stick in my pocket and provides protection around the edge of the screen.

I got the Ringke Fusion as my girlfriend has one for her Z3C and it's really nice, also the G-Flex2 one has dustcaps for the 3.5mm and USB port. Which I really need as my old G2 died from dust ingress.
I also got a Circle Case though from here
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360885691754
It's by ARASO Design from Korea, it's really nice, very sturdy and nice finish.
I have the quick circle case from LG, it's expensive but I got it bundled with my phone. It's a back cover replacement but add little more plastic on the corner for protection and the quick circle work beautifully.
Now I wonder if I will find a back cover replacement but with a matte finish. But if LG don't do it, no one will.
Someone recommended this Rugged Hybrid Armor case to me. It works great.

This is my glass screen protector.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WUDMQWK?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
Only complaint with this glass is that randomly sometimes (like 7.5% of my usage time) i find it to lack lubrication.
Otterbox is on clearance for $12 at Bbuy right now.
Not sure I like the bulk, but plenty swear by theirs.
Just avoid any case that has a painted surface, I had a bad experience with sun screen and my www.mercurymart.com Goospery red painted jelly case just dissolved when getting in contact with the sun screen. The case underneath is a white TPU one and it looked so horrible I had to immediately change it.
Im using Ringke Slim Case + Nillkin Amazing H+ Tempered Glass, both fit each other perfectly i'll probably never change it.
It keeps the original curved style of Flex 2 and doesnt add any bulk since it's super slim, also the tempered glass is thin enough to not protrude over the case which means u can put the phone screen down safely.
Obviously it's also super conveniant in case you drop the phone since the case will absorb the hit instead of tempered glass, which is generally much safer.
RingKe Fusion is awesome. Not bulky, has great drop protection and had dust caps for the micro USB and headphone jack https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00S...lex+2+case&dpPl=1&dpID=51RPdP+pSQL&ref=plSrch

i have a sprint flex 2 and has just bought a circle flip cover for 3k (which is too much for me)

so does that mean all flex 2's are the same?

Thisphone is hard to hold naked so I run a case, ringke is my current daily. I'd love to run a skin but they simply aren't attractive with seems, plus I like being able to toss my phone around.
Have you seen the cruzerlite bugdroid cases? I have a red and a black one. However, due to the nature of the material in the semi opaque red one, it is more flexible and does not fit as well as the black one. So the black one stays on permanently.

Yeah I've seen them. They look not bad.
Currently using a silicon case, but planning on using skin sometime soon. Really want to feel the Z5C touch without any hindrance. Love the frosted glass finish on the back.
I wish there was a Diztronic TPU case for it. I've been using their brand for my previous Moto X, Nexus 6 and 5x and they're the best I've had so far. Minimalistic, durable and protective. Anyways for now I'm using a Orzly Semi transparent TPU case bought from Amazon, it's fairly decent compared to what's available, i wouldn't consider a skin on this device.

I've been using the DevilCase aluminum bumper with a tempered glass protector. So far it's held up to all the drops and smacks I've given it. The bumper is visible worn and scratched but the phone itself still looks new.
I use a generic transparent silicone case that covers and provide a front raise.d protection the phone is slippery as hell without a case. I've dropped it several times getting inside and outside of the car during the first 2 months. It got some heavy scratches on the corners and also on the back from slipping it in and out of my front jean pockets. It loses some of it's appeal with the case but then again; I got a much better grip now and I can just drop it instead of 'gently' placing it on the table; and I do this like 100x a day.

Ah ok, I'm rocking an orzly case. Not bad either....
I always use TPU cases with my phones. I wish I didn't have to use a case, but your phone WILL eventually fall and hit the ground at some point, so you need protection. I prefer TPU because it's the perfect balance between polycarbonate and silicone. It is hard enough to feel robust and not stick to your pockets (pulling everything up along with your phone), and feels soft enough to absorb impacts. NEVER had a phone crack or dent with one of these. And they fall from hip height from time to time when I get out of the car. I dunno, some part of this is luck, but I trust these cases. They're simple, dirt cheap and efficient.
In addition to a glass scree protector on the front, I use a dbrand sticker on the back to increase grip and protect the glass from breaking or getting scratched.
Ringke Fusion for all my devices. Best protection, small footprint. Never looked back.

interesting
Redneck Tetron. Dual layer protection and stand. I'm very satisfied.
I'm simply using a TPU cover bought for 5 euro and saved my phone already 3 times. It's perfectly fitting the size and doesn't add extra weight or size to the phone itself.
I'm using it combined with a tempered glass.

ALL users of z5 tried few china tpu cases, but that one is awesome, I recommend 100%, phone looks elegant and like without case ( with dark version). Moreover, it's matt and really nice in touch :good::good::good: youtube.com/ watch?v=GtxgfKDej-E im not a producer, just happy user
I agree, I'd use the phone naked but its too slippary. All I really want is a bumper but no one has any.
Therefore, I just got a black TPU case and cut out the back to make it into a bumper. The cut could have been cleaner but its been working for me.
I am coming from a Pixel 2XL and I was using a Pitaka carbon fiber case for the past year. That was one of the best cases I have ever used. The carbon fiber seemed to have a grippy or rubber coating over the case and I never dropped that thing. The TPU cases that claim to have grip are still nothing like what the Pitaka case had. I have reached out to Pitaka and it sounds like they won't be making a case for the Pixel anymore. Bummer.
If you're looking for a slim, non-tpu case check out the Spigen Thin Fit. I had one on my LG G7 and got one for my Pixel 4. No problems with grip and definitely better than a TPU or glossy plastic case that gets slippery when you're wet, sweating, or have greasy fingers or something.

The grip on the thin fit is good, but beware that the edges stick up past the screen, and they're sharp. They make using gestures really annoying. I stopped using mine for that reason. They didn't think that one through for the Pixel 4.

Yeah, I haven't had that issue really, I don't use the gestures too often, but I can see where you're coming from. I'm hoping they release a Thin Fit 360 in the future, which would correct this issue entirely (at the expense of having a two-piece case design). I had it on my G7 and it was perfect. The only problems I see with that type of case now are they hug the outside of the screen just a tiny bit and tempered glass screen protectors can interfere with installation.
I'm using the black Speck Presidio Grip case. Very grippy, doesn't slide easily on slick surfaces, good drop protection, and not bulky at all.

Same here, it's a very nice case. I had the same on the S10 plus and Pixel 3XL and they were great as well. Can't really go wrong with it but it's a bit pricey compared to others.

They can be found cheaper on Amazon. Usually half the price from carrier stores

I just checked Amazon and they are the same price as local stores here. Give it a few months and yes Amazon will be cheaper but not today.
EFM Aspen Case
Check out the EFM Aspen Case. I've got it and it's super grippy. I've posted pics of it on another thread, but here's links for you:

Take a look at the imak TPU cases. They have a Metal Black (rubbery) and a rough texture one. I use the Metal Black one on my Pixel 1 and it has lasted almost 2 years. Good grip even for the non rough one, but has started to peel after 2 years. No biggie, it's $5.
It's on Aliexpress, I may try out the rough one this time as well when I get my 4.

My Dbrand Grip case came in last week. I put a orange carbon fiber skin on the back so I could remember that I have the orange Pixel 4 XL. So far, so good. I haven't got anywhere near dropping it. I had the fabric case from Google before. It was a fine case but it attracted stains.
using moment photo case and yes the sides are grippy like the pixel 4's sides.
If I remember I'll report back when my Dbrand case arrives, it is literally called 'grip' but who knows if it is nicer than the Spigen armor with kickstand, it is quite grippy.
ESR cases are very grippy and also has a kickstand
I'm actually loving my moment case for the 4XL, the walnut wood really sets it off, the inside has soft suede like material to keep it from scratching. I used to have the pitaka on my 2XL and forced it on the 3XL, it was way slimmer. But I've come to accept a little extra bulk for protection and the ability to add lenses is really special, it actually transforms the ability of the already fantastic camera.
Anyone know of a case similar to the ones from smartish? The kung fu grip cases have a rough outer edge and have a grip to them that i like very much. Only for iphones though. Anything similar maybe?
I had purchased a case from the Google store with my phone since I was so pumped about it. It was 40 bucks that I never should have spent. Their case is a piece of molded cardboard wrapped in felt. There wasn't even any protection on the bottom. Not only that, but the case was really slippery; always felt like it was going to slide out of my hands.
So, I purchased a Spigen Tough Armor case from Amazon and could not be more pleased. It fits better (still not as grippy as I'd like) and feels much more durable.
Dbrand has sale running .. Grip case $15 ..
