Hey all,
After updating to Nougat (OTA then did the software repair); the search settings do not show any results. It worked for once after the OTA (when i wanted to disable wifi and bluetooth scanning) but after than anything i search for shows no results. Anyone else having this problem?

I know Samsung doesn't post changelogs for their new updates but I just wanted to make a thread for the MG3 update and maybe future updates to point out the changes in the firmware. If you notice any changes, please post it here and I will give it a "thanks" if I can confirm that it's real and I'll put it in the OP (along with your name of course).

WIFI Broken after MG3 firmware update
Just went ahead with my S4 (i9505) MG3 firmware update via Kies (the firmware update version is PDA:MGA / PHONE:MGA / CSC:MG3 (BTU)), everything installed without a hitch, phone rebooted, AND WIFI IS NOW BROKEN!! Meaning the Quick Toggle remains grayed-out even if you press it to turn it on, and going into System Settings and trying to turn on WiFi from there also doesn't work-- the WiFi is simply not turning on! This is a MASSIVE bug which is utterly unacceptable being in an OEM update!!
I've since restored my NANDroid backup to go back to i9505XXUAMDM. At least the WiFi works in that firmware. Yeesh.

I had the wi-fi bug a few days after I flashed the MG3 firmware (wi-fi toggle, both on settings and quick settings are greyed out and stuck at connecting). If you're running the international version you should flash the latest modem.

As for the Talk back issue you are talking about I have no idea what you are talking about. I have never experienced such thing. Maybe it is because i have my Talkback setting to off.

Ok.. Le me explain a little. I installed No Led and it requires accesabilty option in order to function. When i let it have accesability it turns activates the Talkback function besides of the phone having the Talback function unticked... Heard that also other applications haves the same issue so it is a 4.2.2 issue....

That means that so far I have not had the need to install an app that needs accessibility which then turns on the talkback function.

I have recently been sent the update to android 4.4.2 on my note pro however my WiFi will not connect now.
I've tried restarting the device and it keeps saying "network connection unavailable".
has anybody else had a similar experience with this device?

Use search, here are couple topics about broken wifi after update. Factory reset should fix it.

Hi!
Have you got Passpoint running?
This might be a totally different issue but if a factory reset or reflashing doesn´t help you might try looking here.
Regards
Elo

I have the same effect!
A full reset won't fix this problem. I contacted Samsung support and the said that I should send them the tablet.
A reset usually isn't sufficient, you need to reflash the firmware.
I fully reset the tablet about 4 times and it suddenly works.
Hi all!
I have exactly the same issue.... I just updated my Note Pro LTE (unrooted) to the latest firmware and I also do not have access to wifi.
Could you please help me? I read in this thread that by reflashing might solve the issue, but since I am not so experienced with that stuff on Android (hence the reason I never rooted), could you please provide detail instructions what exactly I have to do?
Thanks a lot for your great help!

I eventually made a factory reset and after everything was finalized, wifi was running again fine. All my apps from play store were installed again automatically and everything seemed to run properly!
However, when I woke up this morning, unfortunately the same issue was present. No network connectivity and all available wifi networks were marked 'not in range'!!
Thus, it seems that factory reset does not solve the problem... Therefore I searched on google how to reflash my tablet. This is the link that I found:
http://androidcentral.us/2014/02/how-to-flash-firmware-using-odin-samsung-devices/
Could you please confirm whether this is the procedure I should follow? If yes, which update should I use? The latest or the previous one, i.e. P905XXUANH3 or P905XXUANC3?
Also, will Knox be tripped if I flash the firmware?
Thanks a lot for your help and I look forward to your responses!

Yes.
I usually direct people here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/guide-odin-flash-guide-t1671969 (It's for the S3, but the procedure is the same everywhere. Make sure you get the most recent version of ODIN. The three buttons have different names (Bootloader/PDA/Phone/CSC are now BL/AP/CP/CSC), but the order is the same.)

You can't downgrade, so use either the one you already have or a newer one.

If you use the official firmware for a country in your region, No.
Thanks a lot ShadowLea!!
Eventually there is no need to reflash the tablet....
The only thing I just did was to uncheck the Passpoint option, as Polar67 describes above, in the Advanced Settings of wifi and immediately the issue was fixed!
Thank you all for your great help!!

Suddently touched "disable vpn" button and now no vpn confirming dialogue nor vpn connection.
There was message just below of 'QuickSettings saying that "network may be monitored"
I wanted to dismiss that by touching the message ,and now no way i found to re-enable it back.
Please help...I dont want to reset my device to factory settings,b/coz I'm so obsesive about setting up my Xposed modules,
Xperia Z2 Lp 5.1.1 ....232 rooted stock
Vpn apps tried to fix the issue: too many!

Have you tried going to settings>applications>(whatever system app controls your VPN), then clearing cache and data in that app, then reboot the device and try again?

The problem appeared after upgrade to nougat. I tried factory reset, it was ok for the first hours and now, the problem returned.
Anyone facing the same problems?
Phone not rooted, running on official rom and problems occurs even in safe mode....

Hi
How did you upgrade?
OTA , flashing??
If OTA did you upgrade al your apps , maybe one of them is making trouble
If flashing , how? and also did you upgrade your apps
Hey, thanks for the answer. It was OTA. I suppose all apps are up to date since I restored to factory settings and re-installed them.
The problem is still there even in safe mode...

Hi
yeah is odd , i would think it has to be app related .....
When you get the error ..after you introduce the password? what about if you ask your phone to forget your old connection , it allows you to connect to the new one then?
I would try to wipe dalvik and cache from recovery and /or reflash stock rom again..maybe something went wrong at least the modem

I tried to wipe the cache with no success. I am on a trip right now, and I cannot wipe the dalvik for the moment.
I figured out a walkthrough though using a third party app called "WIFI manager". I even managed to install a certificate and use it for a connection to an "eduroam" network...
I updated my stock L09C636B170 to B560(I think, cant check with it just saying test keys) using Firmware finder proxy method . Everything seemed to be in order, it downloaded the update and applied it.
System seems faster but I've noticed that my bluetooth can't be turned on (I use it frequently for my smartwatch and car). Also certain apps seem to be missing. (clock, updater, etc)
I'm not sure how to fix these issues and really need you guys to help me out here.

I don't know for sure, but it sounds like you're in the early steps of how I messed up myself just recently.
Here's how I managed to fix my device again: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72794604&postcount=6 (Obviously, I can't guarantee anything, it's just what worked for me. Maybe you don't have to do quite as much as I did, since your phone still boots, at least.)
I hope it works out for you, too. :fingers-crossed:
Edit: Just read you are on a stock ROM by now. I don't think you have to unlock your bootloader for that, but I could be wrong. Should you encounter any problems in the process, this may(!) be cause.
