Hello i have my tab unlocked with andoid 4.2.1 and bootloader 10.6.2.12, i want to flash recovery/root/cusom rom do i need to downgrade bootloader ?
That's the latest bootloader for the TF300TG, this forum is for the TF300T and the latest BL for that one is 10.6.1.27.5.
I don't think any of the roms in this forum work for the TG, but I'm not positive. Do some research on that...

Please start fastboot (Power on and Vol. down). In the left corner above of the display a message like "WW_epad-10.6.1.27.5-20130902" should appear. If so, the device is on the last Asus firmware JB 4.2. and has the right bootloader ending 27.5.
It reads Android cardhu-user bootloader (1.00 e) released by "TW_epad-10.6.2.12-2014103" A03

On this tablet??? With that bootloader? Or did you at some point flash the wrong bootloader to your tablet (if it actually is a T - not a TG)?
If you had Katkiss running you could try the same combo you had then. Whatever recovery version you had and then try to flash a rom. But be aware that the wrong bootloader/recovery combo can be fatal....

Then I would bet your son flashed the TG Asus firmware instead of the one for TF300T. They are identical in hardware except for the radio in the TG model.
I would recommedn you get it back on it's original firmware. So you would flash the stock blob from the 10.6.1.27.5 firmware in fastboot. Just follow the last part of the instructions for the buster99.
Once that is done you can flash the latest TWRP for the TF300 and then your choice of Katkiss, Katshmallow or Nougatella.
timduru is the last developer still working for the Transformers. I would go with one of his roms. They are all great!

Yes. You can skip the erase commands and go right to flashing the system blob. It'll overwrite everything anyway and you don't have a troublesome command stuck on any partition, so the wipes are not strictly necessary - but they wouldn't hurt either.
Actually - you probably should wipe userdata before flashing the blob and that command is missing from that post:
Code:
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash system blob

I'm pretty sure that it's going to take a long time for KT to update to JB. M200's update is from KT not Google. That's why it takes more time for M200 than other variants. But you can always root and flash custom ROMs like me.

Thanks for all guidance.
I have managed to update my Nexus-S (M200-Korean) to Jelly Bean.
First I updated with the stock image of international version using this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...20&postcount=1
This changed the baseband version from M200 to XXXKl1
After reboot I was able to get 4.1.1 via OTA
I haven't seen any problems so far
Are there any that I may not have experienced yet?

Radio compatitability depends on where u live.
If you experienced problem, look for this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116884
And flash krkc1 again.
If it's not compatitable, it can cause sudden signal drops and low mobile data speed.(afaik)

This is the link. Follow only the first procedure. Then you would automatically get JB via OTA.

I am from Kolkata,India.Using m200 korean model.Have the same problem as the threadstarter.I guess when you're using it smoothly then inshallah,i too would.
Just to be pretty sure, you're telling me to follow ONLY this:
First up, let me tell you that doing this is not necessay to get the OTA or having a smooth JB experience. The JB OTA installs without a wipe which means the data is preserved.
UPDATE: Google has put up the full image for 4.1.1 [i9023, i9020a and i9020t] . Now you do not need to clean flash ICS and then JB. Follow the part 1 of the guide below and flash the JB image instead of ICS. Nothing more to it.
Thanks anshumandash for pointing it out
That being said, I wanted to have the real stock image on my Nexus S and then Upgrade to JellyBean. Below are the steps that I took.
Go to this GoogleAndroidImages page and download the appropriate image for your phone & download. Since mine is an international version a.k.a I9023, I chose that ROM.
The download will be a tar.gz file. Use a utility like 7Zip to uncompress it. The tar.gz will have a .tar file inside and the /tar file will have a folder. Extract the folder to your PC. For my download, the folder was named soju-imm76d
Next Steps will wipe your phone, completely
Reboot your phone into bootloader mode.
Open a command prompt, navigate to the folder in step 2.
Enter the below commands, the image file names are for my download, modify it to the file names in your folder before running (I assume that you have fastboot working)
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-crespo-i9020xxkl1.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio radio-crespo-i9020xxki1.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot -w update image-soju-imm76d.zip

Yes you too can try..
for me, after the first step , I rebooted a couple of times and automatically got JB via OTA.
Insha-Allah you should also get the same.
But proceed with caution and download factory ICS image from google.

Since the last update I'm having serious issues with my tablet and I'm assuming that they are related to the Update. The major problem is with the touchscreen that seems to be touched in a specific area (around 1 inch from bottom , portrait or landscape mode, doesn't matter)... and make nearly impossible to work with the tablet...

Thoses guides are for people that have'nt installed the OTA JB update, the OP should make that clear in his guide. You cannot downgade from JB to ICS, this is a known fact. The bootloader changes when you update to JB and you cannot go back to the ICS bootloader.

That's not what you said in the OP. In the OP, you said you had the 4.2 bootloader and flashed a -JB recovery. The -JB recoveries are for the 4.1 bootloader. Your brick doesn't have as much to do with the T vs. TG mixup as it did with you missing the sticky thread that the warned against flashing -JB recoveries with the 4.2 bootloader.
So my tablet is currently on the 10.4.2.17 firmware for the bootloader. I need to upgrade it to the latest. How would one go about doing that without flashing back to stock? I am currently on CM 10.1. Is there a way to only flash the bootloader to the tablet?
Well I flashed back to stock to upgrade. Oh well, haha

Yes it's there, I am suffering from premature senility and confusion as I was convinced that last time I downloaded it the header said for specific SKUs and model names.
One follow up question you guys may be able to help me with...
This is to replace an inifinity that I have just sold as it didnt have a dock. That one is running Cromix 5.4 (not F2FS) and the guy who's bought it wants to downgrade it back to stock (no idea why, but am sure he will want to go back, once he's run it for a short time), does he need to reflash the firmware for the original SKU (ie the US one) or can he use WW now?

He should use the US one if that is his SKU. Just flash the zip in the zip in recovery.
