I will try my best to help you but am not that familiar with your device. Do you know if your phone was originally AAP_GEN1 or la_gen1 before you updated it ? It may be something as simple as renaming the package to z500_aap_gen1

Hi,
I have new UG802 bricked after a flash update.
If I connect the dongle at TV I see the image of "recovery system 4.2"
If I choose to update the firmware from a file does not work. Android gives me error and I can not go on as a photo 1, 2 and 3.
I tried to load the firmware Finless 18 with a single zip file that have system.img compressed.
I have see more post in this site with a procedure for unbrick with use a reset pin but in my PBC board don't have a reset as a youtube guide http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dlQkaDcgSY
Can you help me please?

I would like to follow your advice but I can not update the device. Does not make me load a firmware of any kind. I would like some advice on how to make at least a firmware reload and restart it.
Hello All,
I have a HP Envy M6 notebook, that the wrong Firmware was flashed onto its Touchpad. Now it does not work. The firmware for this "Synaptics TM2054" is not available (I have contacted both HP and Synaptics).
However, I have access to an identical HP M6 notebook, and I was hoping if someone can help with a tool that can Dump the Touchpad Firmware and ReFlash it?
There is a Synaptics Flashing tool and a Firmware Image File included in the attachment sp65951.rar encapsulated within the sp65951.exe file. Alas, the SynReflash64.exe can only Flash but not Dump and the image file included "PR1522164-tm2251-001_v1.5.img" is for (Synaptics TM2251) a different TouchPad.
However, the Firmware for the TM2054 is included within a Firmware Flashing tool SynapticsReflash.exe (which failed to execute on my Notebook) encapsulated in the SP59628.exe attached.
I really hope some one can help with this problem.
TIA, Simple.

Thanks, Done!
So I stayed up WAY too late last night trying to figure this out so I figured I'd see if anyone here can help. I apologize in advance if this is the wrong section.
I recently bought a Xiaomi Mi4 here in China and I am not a fan of the Xiui OS it has on it. So I began trying to install CWM on it to get things going but no matter what I do, it fails with a different error for each method.
Using the Updater app doesn't work because I do not get the menu to browse for my zip.
Fastboot method says "recovery not support flash".
Rashr says "Partition Failed".
MobileUncle looks like it works but when you reboot CWM isn't there.
I dug into my device and I think I am supposed to have a /recover partition? But I do not see one.
Any help is appreciated. I'm willing to try anything.

I have some random Chinese made tablet that I have tried and failed at to find firmware for (posted here as well and no one else could find it either). My problem is that the device is stuck in a boot loop from a bad android install file (I believe as the boot loop happens during the OS install phase)
My question is if I can extract the firmware from the device can I manually fix the android install file?
My device is a Infinity 9" Tablet (infintytablets is the website)

Hello,
You need to flash the stock firmware for your device in order to fix the boot.

Hello,
Do you mean an application when you said Bad Android install?
If you have adb, you can just remove it.
You can also try to contact your OEM someway if they have stock firmware for your device.

When I received the device I turned it on and it started the android setup once it got to the part to restart the tablet it went into the loop so I assume it's a bad OS install file.
Contacted the OEM they are worthless and won't give me the firmware to flash it.
So I'm trying to think outside the box here before I trash it. I saw somewhere online that I can possibly extract the firmware from the device so I was wondering if it was possible to extract it and repair it myself

If your device wont boot and you do not have a custom recovery the only thing you can try is adb. Try type in terminal adb pull /system/
it will only work if usb debugging was enabled I think
Good luck

Hi all.
I have been lurking and reading, now time to post.
Like the title says, I have been given an A510 that did work, until he tried to flash it, and failed............
Tried all the tips to get it to start, no dice.
All I get is "Boot image verified failed" or "Entering boot menu mode, Recovery image verified failed".
I guess the question is, what can be done to correct this, or is it toast?
I have tried all of the suggestions in these forums and other sources on the 'net.
Thank you for your time, and keep up the good work!:good:
David.
Hi David !
Can you tell us what exactly "he" tried to flash ?
Thank you !

Hi
From what I understand, tried to flash Clockwork Mod recovery, with all the wipe options checked, but I would have to contact Steve to confirm.
I am well versed in networking and all versions of Windows ( work in IT part time) but Android is confusing to me
Not sure if that helps.
Thanks.
Dave.
So , when you flash CWM recovery , there are no options to check anything while doing that , maybe he wiped after entering into CWM and maybe he erased everything afterwards
Just ask Steve about what exactly he did and btw , tell him Hi !

Hi.
Just so we are clear, this used to belong to my brother Steve, he has passed on to me as a project.
If I was the one who flashed it and bricked it, I would say so, I am a big boy and have messed up before...............................
Been playing with computers from the Win 3.1 days and have had my share of "mishaps"
Now that that is out of the way, I text him and asked what exactly he did, and he said he was in stalling the Clockwork Recovery Mod, and that is how the tablet ended up in its current state, that is all the info I have.
So the simple question is, can it be recovered or not?
Seeing as it will not boot far enough to be able to access it with USB I am thinking not.
I have the factory downloads for it.
Thanks.
David.
After a quick search I have found this thread , have alook at it , there are some workarounds and also you can post your issue there , good luck !
