King root, google kingroot, goto the site, download the apk, install, then run it. it may fail a couple times but when it does usually u just try again and then wipe cache, wipe data of app, reboot, and keep on trying, eventually it'll root ur phone from then which u can use the kingroot to SuperSU script to switch to SuperSU instead of kingroot. I've been able to root my nexus in the past with a locked bootloader, but ig it really just depends on what u really want to do with root. Try at ur own risk, like everyone else does when rooting lol, just make sure u got a solution if anything were to happen (which in my opinion is very low)

I already try king root but not work for me it show me this text "not adaptable yet" i want root becose i want to flash android 7 rom and my bootloader is locked so i cant flash recovery and i dont have laptop or pc now..

Thanks for your replies I really appreciate it. I am sorry its in the wrong place, I did look, but I couldnt find it.
@AXD96....if i use that, are there updates for it, and also if I need to unroot it is it possible. Its still under guarantee.
Thanks again.
Can I ask, if somebody could explain, whats the difference between flashing and rooting, having the phone locked or unlocked and how that affects both, being able to use kies, how does that work, if its been rooted.

yes the update yes but you must use cydia 1 time after you will get root access you must install superuser or supersu from playstore and you should do these updates from play store
if you are thinking about firmware update the answer is always yes! )
you cant do updates if you change bootloader,if you want to change rom you MUST change bootloader

android is based off linux. and pretty much has everything a linux computer has except Super user/admin like we have on windows. pretty much rooting is running a exploit to get Super user so we can run applications/ flash OS and other goodies. locked and unlocked have to do with the bootloader. im not the best guy with knowing what a boot loader is but pretty much it boots your OS. if its locked you are unable to flash unsigned Roms so no custom roms pretty much. im not sure why Samsung cant update their phones ota sometimes so they use kies. maybe the file is big enough that it cant be carried ota.

flashing=install some software (brutal force Haha) with flashing you install(copy)data on your phone maybe a firmware,
flashing is used with pc while you flash a firmware or the clockworkmod...
flashing is also used while we speaking about recovery when you install a zip...
routing is the procedure to add superuser function to your android
you can get root flashing a firmware that has included the root
or get it using some exploit
exploit=android bug
there are a lot of bug in android versionS
for example today there arent exploit avariable on android 4.4 and 4.3 but there are 1 or more in android 4.2 4.1
and there are a lot of bug in android 2.3 this os the same of iOS on iPhone, in apple world we talk about JAILBREACK...
if you would like to try to root using exploit you can try FRAMAROOT an app or CYDIAIMPACTOR a software on pc
if you would like to flash a firmware with root you should use ODIN

hit a problem, I downloaded Cydia to my macbook pro, installed it, selected debugging mode and accept downloads from unknown sources, opened Cydia and the drop down option has 'drop SuperSU su to /system/xbin/su' clicked on start and immediately kies wants to open, and then Cydia says 'Error signature bugs unavailable'. What does that mean and why has it happened.
Thank you
Did I mention that it is running 4.1.2.....does this need 4.3?
So much said in one post :thumbup:

Sorry, I have told you continuously, its the first time I've done it........thats a bit unfair.....and I had to be told to add that. I take it by that comment it doesnt work on 4.1.2.........can it be rooted at all?
I dont see anywhere that the Galaxy s3 mini cant be rooted, and I see others using 4.1.2 being rooted. So can somebody explain? And looking on the Impactor website it doesnt say anything about that either......

sorry i was a little late, i have never heard of that cydia app that guy was talking about and i looked it up and it has nothing to do with rooting.
so i looked it up like i promised and i found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2459910 should work on 4.1.2 the guy said its in Chinese and if you look down there's pictures to find your way through it. yeah once its rooted it should have superuser or SuperSU (same thing made by different people) if it is not on there you might have to download it from the playstore just look one of them up (chainfires SuperSU is recommended) and install it and get a root checker from the playstore as well. Update me if anything happens.

[Q] Rooting OPO: n00b Questions

Hello, I have been an iOS user since past 4 years and i just switched to android with the OPO ... I have never used iOS device without jailbreak so I am very much interested in rooting the OPO as well. I have gone through the steps on both the OPO forums and here at xda, but I still have a few unanswered questions. [Sorry for the n00b questions, I have never ever done this so I am being really cautious]
1. The Backup : tutorials mention about backing up, but they dont mention how to backup. I m not talking about backing up data, but backing up OS n Stuff so I don't brick the device.
2. The drivers : Which drivers are being discussed here ? the phone drivers or the Google USB driver from SDK Manager or something else ??
3. The Recovery Options : In the XDA video there were multiple recovery options in the toolkit out of which the guy selected 1 and said its upto personal choice. I need to know whats the diff between them.
4. The Revert Option : In future if i want to revert then how to Unroot the device ?
5. Also in the tutorials they talk about flashing with a Custom ROM. But i dont want a Custom ROM i just want the same OS but just rooted. [considering Cyanogen is the Official ROM and not the custom for OPO]
6. Should I wait for the Lollipop update to root ? Coz i read that u cant get updates [OTA] while rooted, and I am very eager to use Android 5.
7. And what are the things that I should absolutely take care of will rooting so that I don't brick the phone
Thanks
1. Backup ur data cuz when u unlock the bootloader it wipes ur phone. Do a nand backup of system with a recovery of ur choice
2. Install google usb drivers
3. Which ever u choose. They pretty much do the same. Thats whats great about android. Its ur choose.
4. There r guide that will show u how to revert back to stock.
5. U dnt have to flash custom. U can just root..
6. U can always go back to stock if u need.
7. Just read, and learn to use adb. Try not to rely on toolkits.

Having root doesn't affect your ability to get OTAs. Just accept the OTA and then re-root by flashing SuperSU after applying the update.

How to root Samsung Galaxy A8?

I am working in China, I have just bought a Samsung Galaxy A8. How can I root it?
I have tried Kingoroot without success. I tried a few other one-click root PC apps, they all can't do it.
Let me just say I'm what you guys might call a noob, I don't really understand this stuff yet.
I mainly want to root the phone so I can install Google Play, Android phones in China are not set up for it unless you root the phone and configure it yourself.
I'm dead keen to do this, as it annoys me greatly that I bought a phone and am seemingly denied the regular usage of that phone.
So in my research I also heard about a thing called Odin which you can use to install a new rom on a Samsung phone. And I came across a Chinese website which gave info on a rom you can install on an A8 which after installation means the phone is rooted. I got Odin and the rom now but I'm clueless what to do next really.
I'm thinking the phone has to be rooted to use Odin on it anyway, am I right? And if I do install the rom, it will wipe the phone right? Lose all the data and apps I've installed on it, right? I don't want that to happen, is there a mway to secure the data, put it all back just the way it was beforer the 'rooted rom' is installed?
Like I said I'm clueless really, but I'm trying to proceed cautiously, I'd be grateful for any advice.
I think that I'm going to have the same problem next week, when I get my new Samsung Galaxy A8
Have you tried methods from this page?
rooter15.blogspot.in/2015/08/how-to-root-samsung-galaxy-a8.html
I found this from another thread (posted by psafx):
Hello,
I'm seaching for a root method that works for Galaxy A8 device, anyone can root it please help.
On A8, it's Android 5.1.1 with kernel 3.10.9, KNOX 2.4
Thank you very much.

In that link they say, that Frama Root App (Galaxy A8 is not on the supported devices list) worked for A800YZ in their case, but some users have had problems. Can I safely try it, without worrying that it could damage my phone? (Losing knox 0x0 is OK!)
Easy Root
so you can Easy Root almost any phone (maybe) with no risks , no data loss and absolutely no brick , follow the steps.
1_Make sure that your phone is plugged in and it have "USB Debugging" enabled ( you know how right ?)
2_Download Mobogenie for PC here >upload<<<<<.mobogenie.com<<<<</mu/release/Mobogenie_Setup_3.3.7_10002<<<<<.exe
"REMOVE THE <<<<<"
3_after the setup is done open it and click on "Please connect to your device"
4_after the device is connected go to "Toolkit" tab in the middle left and choose "One-click Root"
make sure you have internet access !
then you'll notice a small wide white status bar , that means you're starting the Root operation
5_after that a window will open with your phone model shown on it asking you rooting or no
6_click in Root and wait until it's done , then Congratulations on your safely Rooting
I hope i helped you
No you haven't helped at all to be honest, your post seems like spam.
None of these automatic one-click root programs can currently root the Samsung A8, if you had read above you would see I've already tried most of them, the best of them actually, KIngoroot, Framaroot, KIngroot, all ineffective. So you honestly think your little app can do it?
Is there anyone out there with real help to offer?

I am in a similar situation to you. I used Odin and the SpaceX A800F firmware however all goes fine until the writing of the new firmware begins. The log prints out the write has failed and then I am presented with a mandarin screen saying the device is locked out and I need to visit samsung.com/cn. I can reset the device and use as normal.
My quest to crack this continue and will let you know if I succeeded. 加油!
Having the same Issue
My phone died on me and I had to run out to get a new one. I forgot China has restrictive programs and custom OS to block anything they don't want.
I am trying to root the phone and hitting walls. I might to take to a shop and do it.
can i flash polish language to A8 ?
Disable android device manager in device administrator tab and go to download mode then flash spacex kernel. (Disabling will remove frp lock) I tried it's worked on my a800f

bro i have root file for Samsung A8 A800YZ and i have rooted my phone. if some one need the file, i need some donation before i can send the file. its easy to use, just flash it using odin. thanks.
So I finally managed to root A800F 6.0.1 thanks to @rs1981
Link for TWRP: http://www.4shared.com/get/oUigxM-6ba/TWRP_302-0.html
Downloaded supersu from:
1. Make sure usb debugging is on and oem unlock is on
2. copy supersu file into phone
3. Turn off phone and go into download mode (vol down+home+power)
4. Connect to pc and flash TWRP file via odine (make sure you untick autoreboot)
5. When flash passes unplug phone and hold (vol down+home+power) immediately once the screen turns black switch to (vol up+home+power) even if you see the red error keep holding and TWRP will open
6. Flash the Supersu file that you copied from TWRP and wipe delvik cache then reboot to system
Supersu should be installed and you should have root.
Thanks again @rs1981

Galaxy J7 Sky Pro (SM-S727VL) Root Help

Title says it, apologies in advance for my noobiness on the entire topic of rooting. Got lucky and my previous device was supported via kingroot. Just looking for SuperSU permissions so I can enable my hotspot really.
This phone is through straight talk btw. I've tried Kingroot, iRoot, and quite a few others to no avail. I don't currently have internet due to me moving to the butt-crack of nowhere, Tried srsroot but seems like it interferes with USB tether and says it's successfully rooted but nothing happens upon reboot.
Anyone had any success with this? Thanks in advance.
Anyone?
Please help for the love of god.

Is this your first time rooting a device. after srsroot says successfully rooted did you verify root by going into playstore and trying a root check app.

I tried srsroot 5.1 multiple exploit and it said rooted. I open root checker and it said phone wasn't rooted. I also tried dr. Phone and they didn't have a working root method for j7 sky pro and i was desperate enough to try king root. None of these worked. The guy than mention c.f. auto root, thats for a version of the j7 that was released in other countries. Those variants of the j7 have exoynus processors and us version have snap-dragon processors so the root procedure might brick your phone.

When ever I get some free time I'm going to try using adb commands to try and root.
Hopefully not too much longer before someone can root this thing... I'm also looking!
wondering if anyone has seen this video or tried it??
Code:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtktE0jccnw
I can't open the link but all the videos iv seen on YouTube seems to be j700's and other variants not for s727v.l From my research the devices are a listed under samsung j models but the they all have different hardware, i.e. boards, processors, chipsets,. I did a cross referience with cf-auto root to try and find a divice with the same hardware and builds, there wasnt any other device with the same hardware that would suggest compatibility. Cf-auto root flashes a root file to your device and if it's not compatible you could completely brick your device
Hello, First of, you shouldn't have used kingroot whatever the situation was
However https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.inkwired.droidinfo&hl=en
download this and capture the system and device tray
Yeah but it was worth a shot. I figured if it worked I could replace it with superSu. I will post those specs In a few. When ever. I get time and free WiFi in going to try adv root
System and device
I'm going to try adb root method when ever I get the time

Verizon bootloader is most of time locked you can't flash it.
I may have a method for rooting s727vl. I can't test until I get home where I will have unrestricted data in case something goes wrong. I'm gonna keep this short and simple assuming everyone have
knowledge of using odin.
Developer option usb debugging oem unlock no frp or passwords
Download odin
Download latest superSu, this isn't the same as superuser in the playstore. It's used for rooting systemless root os. Yes that what marshmallow is.
After downloading supersu place it on your phones sd card
This is what I'm not sure on. Download clockwork mod RECOVERY. Zip , not the one in the playstore. And place on pc
Use odin to flash cwm to s727vl
Please refer to guide on installing cwm
After flashing cwm go to it in recovery mode and use cwm to flash the supersu zip file and reboot phone. It could take a few minutes but it should boot with root access. Or wait for auto reboot.
What I'm not sure on is cwm compatibility with s727vl, I couldn't find a yeah or nay on compatibility. Cwm say it's compatible with any android.
Hopefully this will work. Make sure u have your data backed up and your stock rom in case things go south. If anyone try this please let me know the result. I'm anxious to try it but I travel a lot and I can't afford to have data throttled by downloading everything I need and I can't risk doing this until I'm i get home.

Huawei p30 lite MAR-lx1m just plane root(for rumblepad seport with joystick center)

Hi all i am lokking for a why to use my rumblepad on my phone with games.
So far the only way i fond is that i need to root the phone (witch i dont really want to do bc its feals stupid)
So far i not finding a way to root the closet i get is magisk i think id trust it more bc its a systemles root
Is ther a way to root it
All i want is root access for my rumblepad
I dont want a custom rom and i dont want TWRP or eny arther recovery.
(i do remember on one of my old phone i could temporarily boot twrp so i think id be ok with a temp twrp boot)
And also i would like to try to boot the batch ram disk (or what ever needs batching) before i flash it to test that it works.
Id also like to keep my andriod v 10 so is ther a way i can "dump" or extract my existing one from my phone
I got the phone with android 9 but it got upgraded to 10 at one stage with one of the system updates
Hope my spelling is ok.
If there eny info you need let me know and il get it.
