Hi, I've done some digging regarding VOLTE for our phone and I read somewhere that the device has hardware support for VOLTE.
Is this do-able and is there anyway we can finish this? I am interested in this but I don't know how to get started.
(I may need some help in too)

Buy a oneplus 3T. That is the only way to use volte. I dont think oneplus will provide the volte patch for oneplus one.
Can't we do anything about it?

So isn't there anyway to compile ROM with VOLTE support? Can't WE do anything about it? Leave Oneplus.

Nope, we cant do anything. This should be done by oneplus with the help of the service provider( jio in our case). There is nothing a rom developer can do. According to oneplus "sd801 doesnt support volte" apparently.

Mostly depends from oem to oem.
You are right but as it has been common excuse in meny forum that sd801 does not support volte so oneplus is not able to provide support. Now there is proof to dismiss those excuses at least.
Even if some developer if intrestestd in doing so can extract code for volte corresponding to SD 801 in custom rom

Even if a developer want to enable volte ,i think they need the source code for modem/radio. Which oneplus won't provide.

It's probably unlikely that custom ROM's will ever get camera and other hardware to work as good as on original firmware...

That means 2 Major upgrades (7.0) and (8.0) with minor fixes and improvements but not 7.1 or 8.1 if it's released.
If this device will not get any other updates like 7.1.x or 8.x i swear i will never get another Huawei device...

If they don't stick to thier promiced updates and code for these phones i will 1: never buy another Honor phone
2: drive them mad with emails
3: let everybody know not to buy thier phones via Google+ and FB pages.
Let's hope it don't come to this.

Maybe I do not understand what you are truly asking for...but I have VoLTE working just fine on my 8T running on AT&T.
Works out of box for me. I'm On Tmobile.

It works out of the box for me too. But once I perform OTA update, the VOLTE gone. In previous Oneplus phone, some country need PDC tools to enable the volte.

Do you try to get 8T MBN files ? I tried EFSt.exe tools method and it works for oneplus 5.

ive lost volte etc aswell in 5g too i have made sure everything is enabled in qpst and pac too

I've a OP 7 Pro Sprint Variant, Model: GM1925. When I was in stock ROM, the latest build was 10.0.7.GM25CC. Few weeks earlier, I followed the guide here and was able to successfully convert it to EU firmware. The reason behind this conversion is to get the latest OOS updates asap. But it seems the updates for 5G phones are lagging far behind. My phone is running on 10.0.11.GM27BA currently.
Further, I tried to convert my phone to International variant by following the guide here but failed. More specifically, it stopped after 'Param preload'.
Now, I badly want to convert it to International variant. I don't mind if losing 5G would enable dual sim functionality on my phone.
Is there any way?

Late on the replies but converting to international is impossible due to different partitions. Dual sim WILL NEVER WORK because we don't have the config files for dsds on the X50 modem. Because of the 5G, updates are behind and will be for basically the phone's EOL. Custom roms are a grey area as modem needs porting and rotation needs fixing, and Android 11 custom roms won't work (due to no modem functionality)

This is how porting roms works. You can look up porting lineage OS and do it yourself too
Well it's pretty simple if you know how to install GSI roms. I tried lineage. It's buggy and many of the features don't work like Bluetooth and mobile Hotspot. I loved how smooth it was but unfortunately, I need Bluetooth audio to work

The LE2119 is the 9 pro, not a regular 9, you'll have to post this in the oneplus 9 pro thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/oneplus-9-pro.12153/

This doesn't show any device specs. Install AIDS64 amd share screenshots of System, CPU and Display. Then someone might be able to help.
