OTA update fails, best way of update?

Hello.
I have a Honor 6 L04 device. I'm currently on EMUI 2.3, but I wanna update to the latest 3.1. OTA update is failing maybe because of root or something else.
Is there any other EASY way of updating to 3.1? Can I just do a factory reset and flash a stock 3.1 rom?
Go to emui 3.0 b316, only then emui 3.1 b526

Bro please don't guide a person wrongly. The version you mentioned is not for H60-L04.
And yes, you can't update of your phone is rooted. Do a factory reset and update.

I am not sure, I was on the latest MM update from Verizon.
My phone got wet a few months back and my NFC has not been able to turn on since. Also, I was also having issues adding fingerprints though I could use fingerprints that were in there before. I thought maybe doing an ODIN flash may help atleast verify it isnt software related.

Trying smart switch as I hear it can load the stock firmware. The serial # (aka: IMEI #) I put in says the number is incorrect. Do I remove some of the first digits? It starts with 99000...

Sigh. No, there's nothing wrong with the file.
You always bootloop when downgrading a major version. Have to factory reset in recovery and then you'll be fine.

Yep, I've got it too. Unfortunately, just like the last patch, I can't seem to get the OTA to install even flashing the TWRP system/boot backup and stock recovery... I had the same experience with the last patch, and I had to wait for someone to make a TWRP-flashable zip there, too.
Quite frustrating. Wish I knew why it fails.

Right, but restoring a stock backup to system should fix that. It doesn't. The only thing I didn't flash back stock was userdata, which shouldn't affect the OTA. But it still fails. That's what I'm saying.

No android 6.0.1 yet?....
So my guess is hold off on this one if we're using TWRP? Until a flashable version at least.
wait a TWRP update pack
Do people usually put out a twrp zip file to easily update? I really don't want to wipe my device because its perfect.

Need rooted, so need TWRP. Because after 'February 2016 Security Update', root your device has been complicated, so only try root again and again, and TWRP easy to install.

LeMoto doesn't like updating their flagships anymore. Sad sad turn of events.
I have rooted phone can i update now without risk and without loosing Root?
How can I do to get rid of this OTA push? I'm rooted and everything is working so I don't see any gains on this update.

Roll Back update

US Version MHA-L29C, fully stock, never been rooted...
I installed the US update yesterday (B167) and curious if I wanted to roll back to the previous version (B138) how I would go about it. Would I have to use funkyhuawei or is there somewhere I can get the full download and install it through the stock recovery?

There something wrong with B167?
I'm trying g to determine if HD voice is truly working and if they just removed the HD icon on the call screen. I also am getting some very inconsistent battery. One day I get 10 hours sot, the next 6 sot with the same usage.

Problem with FRD-L14! *App not responding*

I'm having an issue with my FRD-L14!
I encountered a problem a couple weeks ago when my phone died of low battery. Once I charged it and turned it back on, all of a suddenly all of my apps were unresponsive. And when I say all of the apps, I mean ALL of the apps. I began receiving notifications of the apps that weren't responding and it was asking me to wait or close app. I tried both and had no outcome. I restarted the phone a few times thinking maybe it was a bad boot.. Nothing. Finally, I did a factory reset and everything began working fine.. Until I decided to turn my phone off again (This was the last time my phone had been turned completely off since the factory reset) and the issue arose again. All of my apps are not responsive. Sometimes I cannot even get into settings. I also do not receive any calls/texts during this time either.
I am NOT rooted and I do not have an unlocked bootloader. Completely stock.
Please Help!
Sounds weird...maybe you can try reflashing the firmware? What version are you using? Nougat or Marahmallow?

Nougat.. Everything I have is stock and updated to the latest firmware.
Okay, in that case i would have made a rollback to marshmallow first, then flashing the full marshmallow firmware (latest avaible on honor site) and finally update again to nougat with OTA.
I think it's the best thing you can do

UPDATE!
After a rollback and OTA update back to Nougat using Proxy Firmware Finder, everything is working fine.
The only thing I've noticed is that my build number is "NRD90M test-keys". I'm not sure if this will affect any future OTA updates or not. It was very difficult to find a full update package for the FRD-L14 version. The model number still reflects FRD-L14 though.
Side note: I think the entire cause of the problem was I did the trick from the link below. It worked and I had been using it for a long time. In the comments of that thread, I've noticed others having the issue after reboot as well... Must be a Huawei thing.
