Faster way to toggle wifi/Bluetooth? - Samsung Gear S3

Is there a watch face or widget that can quickly toggle either of these off similar to what we can do on our phones? Call me lazy or whatever but it just seems weird to me that this doesn't exist.

I am also looking for the same. But as far as know, you have to go to settings to toggle the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi settings

There was on the original Gear S. It's amazing how many features have been removed.

+1, also looking for this. Anyone found it on the Galaxy Watch?

Quick settings panel. Wifi and airplane mode
Just set it up

Samsung Epic taskbar Radio on/off buttons port to EVO??

I've been searching everywhere and see ports or attempts at the Epic launcher/touchwiz, etc. being ported. I would rather stick with Sense.
However the 4 radio on/off buttons hidden away with the task bar seems perfect and would love to see it ported to the EVO.
Is anybody working on this or have any ideas/suggestions?
Agreed! This would be so amazing… I think the best bet would be for someone to add it to CM6, as it seems more like a core OS feature than an addon.
probably wont happen, I asked about this a few months back and many devs answered with why not. for it to happen we would need to port the framework from the galaxy s phones. it can happen, but it would take a lot of work. i would love this feature too though.
Would love this also....BOUNTY anyone???
Isn't there already an app that can place a control bar in the notication area?

Your sig is obnoxiously large. Why don't you resize it?
I think what you're looking for is bar control

Bar Control is ok. It let's you put app short cuts in control bar. What the Epic task bar does is keep the Radio on/off buttons hidden till you pull down. Something we need but hidden away, yet quickly and easily accessible!
It like receiving a notification in your pull down task bar, but it's permanent!
The market app "Notification Status" comes closest to doing the same thing. It cost .99yuan
I would to also love this function on my EVO. My wife has the Epic 4g & I love the status bar buttons. Tried some other apps, can't find anything that works as simple as the Epic4g buttons.
CyanogenMod Nightly (after build 116) has this built in. You can select what you want to have in the bar, just like for the Power Control widget (WiFi, Bluetooth, Hotspot, GPS, Sound, Brightness, Auto-Sync, Screen shut-off timer, Auto-rotate, 2G/3G (doesn't work on CDMA phones), data on/off, lockscreen on/off, airplane mode, etc.)

I was looking for the same thing, best I could find was using "quick desk beta" (double tap home to bring up a screen over your current app and add whatever widgets you need to it) I have most of the curvefish widgets on it (brightness, gps, airplane, WiFi, auto rotate, etc pretty much everything but a 4g toggle)

Any available working 2G/3G toggles for stock?

Anyone aware of a app or toggle widget that could be used as a standalone app or in conjunction with tasker to toggle 2G only and 3G preferred?

I'm curious to this as well as it worked previously on my Samsung Skyrocket but when I imported my settings in my Nexus 5 I now get a warning that this feature is not available on this device (or something like that). I've since deleted it but would like to have this function on my device if possible.

is there a way to disable the Standalone icon ?

Hi
just got my gear s3 frontier and will be using it in standalone mode more often than connecting via bluetooth, problem is in standalone mode there is a "watch" icon on the top part of the face where 12 o'clock is and its messing up the style i want. Is there a way to hide or disable this? Tried in the settings but there is none so maybe someone has made a mod for it.
Thanks!!!
Hi,
I've tried to disable the standalone icon too. But i couldn't.
If somebody solve it, please give us a solution.
Thank you
Up!

I made a thread about this too. It is pretty annoying, I don't see how they think having a white icon plastered over watch faces is a good idea, it is worse you can't disable.
Maybe if we can root it we can go in and at least delete the icon graphic so it doesn't show? I don't know if that would be possible.
Also for those that think there should be an option to shut off watch face icon(s) contact Samsung with a feature request. It probably won't get through but you never know.

The solution is to run in remote connected mode instead of standalone. This does not require carrying a phone with you, only that a phone (logged into your Samsung account) is connected to a Wi-Fi somewhere on the planet. The added benefit is that notifications from the phone (ie. email, Hangouts) can now be passed through to the S3.
The S3 is my primary phone, I no longer carry a smartphone, but I keep one (sans SIM) at home connected to Wi-Fi. It is used exclusively for setup and modifications, downloading apps, and remotely connecting to my watch.
Lastly, on my watch, the standalone icon only appears when the watchface is active. It's not displayed on the AOD watchface. Is your experience different?
tizen 3
after updating your gear to tizen 3 you can remove this icon in this position.
setting => watch faces and styles => status indicator => change it to off
after that the icon is removed.
Thanks man!

Yes! Go into Settings/Watchfaces and Styles/Status Indicator and change that to Off. That'll turn off the icon. Enjoy! Took my half a lifetime to figure that out!

flashlight?

Hmm I've heard the flashlight will now let you set intensity but I can find a setting to turn on the flashlight without using a third party widget.
Very easy. Open your Quick Settings at the top...hit the word "Flashlight"...not the icon but the word. It will bring up the options to change it.
How is the maximum brightness level vs the old toggle?

Thanks just got back to this. It seems I had the button layout set at 4x3 and it wasn't showing it to me and when I clicked edit I still wasn't seeing it as an option to add. When I changed the layout to 5x3 I got it back.
Can anyone comment on the flashlight brightness levels achieved by the update? I ask because I'm rooted on MM, which allows me to use a root flashlight app (see below) that is insanely bright. I use this on a daily basis and (unless the new built-in toggle can match it) losing this will keep me from upgrading to Nougat. It's that useful to me. Losing my preferred version of Google Maps is another big issue, but the phone torch allows me to not have to carry a separate flashlight at work and makes my life simpler.

The brightness is stock in middle setting. When set max it's 2 times brighter.

Question Persistent Wi-Fi Call notification

Hello,
I have noticed that the Wi-Fi Calling notification does not go away even if I turn Wi-Fi Calling off. I have already put the notification to silent and reduced but it constantly sits there and annoys me. Does anyone know a trick how to get rid of it completely? The options for disabling it are greyed out and cannot be turned off. My S21 Ultra which had the same e-SIM, came from the same region, did not have that issue although the function was turned on 24/7.
The package which causes those notifications is com.sec.unifiedwfc.
EDIT: At the moment I have blocked the notifications using AutoNotification app from the store.

I did check it but could not find anything useful. The one thing that could have helped, notification snooze time change, has failed to apply even though I granted all permissions via ADB. The app suggested to use OneUI Tuner but it is not available on xda labs when I open the official link.
Sorry, I thought you were talking about the notification on the status bar
can you share a screenshot of what you are seeing? not fully understanding the issue here

so... holding the notification to see the option to deliver quietly or turn off the notification isn't available?

It is just the carrier pushing for Wifi call. Tmobile does that.
What I do? I turn of wifi right when a call comes. The HD+ is much better without wifi.

If you put it to silent it will look as in the screenshot. Turning off is greyed out.
