Is it ok? It is working fine in my mobile,
But I have an issue in my htc m7 that there is no sound during a call, So I want to upgrade my phone firmware to Lollipop, So plz Suggest me what RUU.exe or Zip file I download or Any TWRP Backup for my device?
So what should i download now x.xx.1540.x or x.xx.651.x?

Now when I try to do software update to Android 4 OTA from HTC I can download the update and when phone reboot it freezes with " ! " on the screen.
After this I have to remove the battery and power on the phone and it boots in Android 2.3.4
Can someone tell me how to upgrade to ICS from HTC ?

No, I've stop after step3. and didn't set CID because I've rooted the phone and remove simlock so I can use SIM Card from other GSM provider.
Do I have to continue to step 4 ?
You have to have the stock recovery installed on your Sensation. It will not flash with Clockwork Mod Recovery or any other custom recovery.

OK, so lets start from the beginning...
Which ROM are you currently running on? Did you flash a new RUU? If so, you will also need to change your CID/MID to get the new update
In software information there is:

I got a question cause I am not really sure from your first post. Did you download the OTA update via a notification for the update on your Sensation? Or did you download the OTA file to your computer either from XDA or another site?

I've flash it with RUU_PYRAMID_LE_HTC_Europe_1.73.401.4_Radio_10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2_release_220036_signed.exe
and after that I've update to ICS with OTA update.

Rooted phones can't update to stock via OTA. During the root process your recovery has changed from stock to custom. That's why you got ! and can't install the update. Installing RUU your recovery came back to stock again and that's why you successfully installed the update after that.

I am new to this forum. I am having HTC Sensation XE with
Android 2.3.4
HTC Sense 3.0
Software number 1.73.707.4
Baseband version 10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2
I have rooted my phone with Revolutionary tool and I am able to use ABD command.
Now the problem is I got the latest android 4.X upgrade via the upgrade utility and it failed to upgrade. (Got ! symbol and restarting the mobile came back to 2.3.4 Android)
As per the instruction I tried running the RUU_Pyramid_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.35.707.1_Radio_10.43a.9007.00U_10.51.9007.27_M3_release_198358_signed.exe file to fix the issues. (I am from Malaysia, so I selected the Asia files).
But I ended up with a error stating that my battery power is less than 30% and it failed. I tried the exe file with the mobile in fully booted way and in the boot loader level (by holding power button + volume key). But nothing did the magic.
From the log I am to see that some thing is getting failed. "<T002411><DEBUG><OUT>- exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: Permission denied (13) -</OUT>"
Attached the log file also.
Please help me.

Yes, they will be deleted.
That's why you need to sync your data first.

That RUU won't work for the OP unless the OP has Super CID as he's on the Asian build not the EU one

when i downloaded the RUU, which you linked above and ran ... it gave me the following error

But i have, i've tried several options, Charger Only, Disk Drive, HTC Sync, but none of them helped, not even turning on/off usb debugging mode.

I have the HTC sensation z710e Europe which is still running on 2.3.3, I've not been able to recieve any updates despite checking on line in settings. it is s-off but I don't know whether the bootloader has been unlocked?pls, somebody should help me out.

Boot into bootloader. If it says ***UNLOCKED*** at the top, then you're good.
To update, flash 3.33 firmware, and just flash ICS/JB roms.

when I checked on the bootloader menu of my HTC sensation z710e European version, I saw only s-off and 'unlocked' was not found.so pls what can I do to install OTA ics 4.0.3 and sense 3.6 without rooting. I already downloaded it on my laptop and copied it into SD card, after entering into the bootloader menu as directed by a co-user the installation terminates midway after selecting 'apply updates from card'. I have limited knowledge on this, so pls give ample assistance.

1. Go to bootloader
2. Select recovery in bootloader mode
3. Find the option in recovery: "format all partitions except SD card"
4. Try to find "apply updates from SD card"
5. Find the file you downloaded
6. Flash the file
7. Reboot and enjoy!

I have a HTC ONE which I bought from three network in the UK. It is S-ON (CID is H3G_001) and I have unlocked the bootloader. I would like to install the latest Android revolution HD but I haven't been able to find the correct firmware which they recommend to flash after installing a new ROM. I know people have flashed this ROM already but I don't know the following:
-If your phone is locked to a network, does it affect any part of the (unlock bootloader, root, install rom process )?
- Has anyone installed this ROM on a HTC ONE M7 device with S-ON without flashing firmware.zip ?

This is not a custom ROM. both are an offical ROM. s-off is not required.Download latest RUU and follow these below procedure for Installation.
1. Download RUU.
2. Rename RUU to 0PAJIMG.zip (the first character is a zero, NOT A LETTER O)
3. Put renamed 0PAJIMG.zip on your external_SD
4. Boot into your bootloader and make sure your in hboot and let it update its RUU.
5. No PC, no adb, no fastboot, no terminal is needed, just a root explorer to rename and transfer the renamed RUU file to external_sd
6. After you have updated your RUU, make sure to remove the 0PAJIMG.zip from your external_sd because it will ask to update your RUU everytime your reboot to your bootloader which it is technically supposed to do but its unnecessary after you have done it once (unless you are planning on flashing RUU again).
7.Done!

I'm also stuck in this situation.
Tried to update Marshmallow on my 100% working phone, which installed ok but I was not able to connect to wifi or sim networks.
I performed a factory reset (HBoot>Recovery>Wipe.......) and from then my phone doesn't pass the HTC logo screen.
it also shows the red message "this build is for development purpose only ......." under HTC logo and it never starts completely.
I have been trying to install all the ROMS available on this great website and others too but nothing suits my phone.
