I need have s-off to install some custom ROM???
Sent from my 0PAJ5 using XDA-Developers mobile app

This is not a custom ROM. both are an offical ROM. s-off is not required.Download latest RUU and follow these below procedure for Installation.
1. Download RUU.
2. Rename RUU to 0PAJIMG.zip (the first character is a zero, NOT A LETTER O)
3. Put renamed 0PAJIMG.zip on your external_SD
4. Boot into your bootloader and make sure your in hboot and let it update its RUU.
5. No PC, no adb, no fastboot, no terminal is needed, just a root explorer to rename and transfer the renamed RUU file to external_sd
6. After you have updated your RUU, make sure to remove the 0PAJIMG.zip from your external_sd because it will ask to update your RUU everytime your reboot to your bootloader which it is technically supposed to do but its unnecessary after you have done it once (unless you are planning on flashing RUU again).
7.Done!

Thanks bro!!! ?

Please help | HTC one E8 Dual Sim_m8sb
Hi: I hope all seniors are good.
I'm also stuck in this situation.
Tried to update Marshmallow on my 100% working phone, which installed ok but I was not able to connect to wifi or sim networks.
I performed a factory reset (HBoot>Recovery>Wipe.......) and from then my phone doesn't pass the HTC logo screen.
it also shows the red message "this build is for development purpose only ......." under HTC logo and it never starts completely.
I have been trying to install all the ROMS available on this great website and others too but nothing suits my phone.
My phone is a: HTC One E8 Dual Sim | Model: 0PAJ210 M8Sb | S-off | Officially unlocked software via HTCDEV. I was using 4.2.2 on it earlier.

[Q] HTC Sensation XE update to Android 4 failed

Hi
I've recently bought the Sensation XE which was SIMLOCK to T-mobile network.
I've follow this tutorial to root and remove simlock.
[Guide] to Installing S-off, Unlocking, ClockWork, Root, SuperCID & S-on
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300
Now when I try to do software update to Android 4 OTA from HTC I can download the update and when phone reboot it freezes with " ! " on the screen.
After this I have to remove the battery and power on the phone and it boots in Android 2.3.4
Can someone tell me how to upgrade to ICS from HTC ?
Have you set your CID/MID correctly?
No, I've stop after step3. and didn't set CID because I've rooted the phone and remove simlock so I can use SIM Card from other GSM provider.
Do I have to continue to step 4 ?
You have to have the stock recovery installed on your Sensation. It will not flash with Clockwork Mod Recovery or any other custom recovery.

OK, so lets start from the beginning...
Which ROM are you currently running on? Did you flash a new RUU? If so, you will also need to change your CID/MID to get the new update
In software information there is:
Android version 2.3.4
HTC Sense 3.0
Software number 1.73.401.4
Kernel version 2.6.35.13-g2299e28
[email protected] #1
Baseband version 10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2
Build number 1.73.401.4 CL161971 release-keys
I didn't install custom RUU.
In a process of removing SIMLOCK I've also follow this tutorial
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1232107
metod 2.
I got a question cause I am not really sure from your first post. Did you download the OTA update via a notification for the update on your Sensation? Or did you download the OTA file to your computer either from XDA or another site?
I've download the OTA update via a notification for the update on my Sensation.
Guys
Any idea?
I've fix it!
I've flash it with RUU_PYRAMID_LE_HTC_Europe_1.73.401.4_Radio_10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2_release_220036_signed.exe
and after that I've update to ICS with OTA update.
Thanks for your help!
Rooted phones can't update to stock via OTA. During the root process your recovery has changed from stock to custom. That's why you got ! and can't install the update. Installing RUU your recovery came back to stock again and that's why you successfully installed the update after that.
Hi,
I am new to this forum. I am having HTC Sensation XE with
Android 2.3.4
HTC Sense 3.0
Software number 1.73.707.4
Baseband version 10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2
I have rooted my phone with Revolutionary tool and I am able to use ABD command.
Now the problem is I got the latest android 4.X upgrade via the upgrade utility and it failed to upgrade. (Got ! symbol and restarting the mobile came back to 2.3.4 Android)
As per the instruction I tried running the RUU_Pyramid_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.35.707.1_Radio_10.43a.9007.00U_10.51.9007.27_M3_release_198358_signed.exe file to fix the issues. (I am from Malaysia, so I selected the Asia files).
But I ended up with a error stating that my battery power is less than 30% and it failed. I tried the exe file with the mobile in fully booted way and in the boot loader level (by holding power button + volume key). But nothing did the magic.
From the log I am to see that some thing is getting failed. "<T002411><DEBUG><OUT>- exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: Permission denied (13) -</OUT>"
Attached the log file also.
Please help me.
Thanks
would you mind linking that installer to me. Mine seems to error when i try to launch it

Yes, they will be deleted.
That's why you need to sync your data first.

That RUU won't work for the OP unless the OP has Super CID as he's on the Asian build not the EU one

and how exactly did you flash?
when i downloaded the RUU, which you linked above and ran ... it gave me the following error

it's in russian, but it says that i haven't connected my phone to pc with cable.
But i have, i've tried several options, Charger Only, Disk Drive, HTC Sync, but none of them helped, not even turning on/off usb debugging mode.
so is there anywhere step by step instructions how to flash ? i couldn't find it

Installing RUU for HTC One XL (Telstra Branded)

Hi Guys.
I wanted to confrim if I can install any RUU on my HTC One XL with out unlocking the Bootloader or rooting or supercid.
Because in most forums i have had a look at they dont mention if its needed.
In this case i wanted to install the RUU EVITA hTC Asia WWE 2.23.707.2 and wanted to know if its required to perform the above to install the RUU.
Regards
Ruus have 3 simple rules.
1. Bootloader must be locked.
2. Cid must match. Eg WWE is not the same cid as Telstra. You need to supercid or atleast change to Telstra cid.
3. You can not downgrade hboot. The ruu must be equal or newer than your current version.
Point 2 is where you will need root.

The Telstra One XL is currently Bootloader unlockable through htcdev unlike the AT&T One X. This means that we don't have to mess around to get a ROM onto our device. Why you would go to all the trouble of rooting and changing your cid (Which sometimes I've read can wipe out your IMEI and Serial Number?) when you just just unlock your bootloader, flash a recovery and then install any ROM you want.
Thanks guys for your help
I am stuck in a cm10 boot loop. Never got çm sucessufulky flashed. Was on stock deodexed rom prior to attempting cm.
I can get to twrp 2.2.0 recovery and to recovery as well but don't have a backup to flash from twrp.
I was thinking of going back to ruu 1.8.5 but my bootloader is unlocked using HTC Dev.
Any suggestions?

Grab another rom and flash it. Try nocturnals telstra rom and see what you think.
It will be a lot easier than heading back to stock via ruu

how do you flash another rom though without being able to put it on your sd card first? is there a command you can put in command prompt so that the zip shows up in recovery?
from twrp recovery, you can connect the USB and mount SDCard
then connect to computer and copy over the rom
otherwise, you could use adb commands
adb devices (make sure device exists)
adb shell
mount sdcard
Then either
adb push ROM.zip \sdcard\
or copy

Any of the stock rooted ROMs in Development except AT&T ones have WiFi tethering enabled. You of course need to be bootloader unlocked and custom recovery.

RUU questions. All in one

I will try to keep this as concise as possible.
I have a Tmobile version of Htc One S, currently using it in Europe.
I am:
-network unlocked (using an Orange sim card)
- bootloader Unlocked
- #rooted
- TWRP recovery
-Supercid 1111111
-S-Off
-running CM10.1 nightly 20130312
-flashed europe radio 1.11 with Aroma installer.
However, I would like to install the latest RUU for Europe, thus I have some questions:
1. Will an European RUU work on my tmob ville, Radio wise and everything?
2. Will installing a RUU relock my bootloader?
3. Will installing a RUU upgrade my bootloader version?
4. Will installing a RUU unroot my device?
5. Will installing a RUU change it back to S-ON?
6. Will installing a RUU delete the recovery image?
* From my brief and noobish experience with this procedures, I'm guessing "Yes" to questions no. 2,3,4. Not so sure about 1,5,6.
Thank you!

1. Yes, but you have to change CID back to HTC__102 if you want get further OTA updates. Highly recommend! Of not you force a brick!
2. No, you have to do a this before running the RUU. otherwise you get an error message.
3. Yes, if it's a newer RUU...
4. yes
5. No
6. If you mean your Nandroid Backup, no
If you mean your custom recovery at all, yes

Maximus HD HTC One S updates
Hello everyone,
I have been using this rom for quite some time and I must say that is great. The only thing that is bugging me is how to install
the updates. I have been receiving the update notification for a while, the problem is that when I approve the download and
installation of it, the phone downloads it, restarts in recovery and does nothing afterwards. Perhaps I should manually find the
update file in recovery but I have not been able to do so until now.
Anyone knows how to do the update process?
Thanks for your time.

Reboot into bootloader. Then Simply S-off your device and Flash the ROM or Flash a Rom that doesn't need S-off (CM).. If U r on hboot 2.16 remember to flash ROM for hboot 2.16. Go with Unofficial CyanogenMod 11 for hboot 2.16. (For 2.15 official CM11 is available, CM12 will release soon)

Your data problem has nothing to do with the ROM.
You need to configure your APN settings that are from your phone provider or your telephone company

No, you can't flash the unsigned firmware with S-On. You've to S-off your phone.
Steps for flashing is simple. - rename the file to 0PAJIMG.zip and put it on external storage. It's "zero" not O. 0PAJIMG.zip and reboot to bootloader by pressing POWER+VOL DOWN. Rest it'll do automatically.
