How to use V4A on stock player - Ascend Mate 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, can someone please help me for using equalizer with the stock music app
V4A is not processing any track when am on stock music player
I really love how the stock music player looks and functionality but however it lacks an equalizer or the sound quality it deserves.
I've noticed that it works on rare occasion on some specific mp3 contents only, then the system overrides it the next track.
Its been 2 week since am trying every night to make it work but nothing..really desperate now and require some help
Im using stock Marshmallow B571 updated using TWRP recovery tool and am rooted with SUPERSU 2.68
Music app version is 7.1.41 and V4A 2.3.4.0

I won't use the stock music app because of that, and it won't access music files on my SD card either.
I use Poweramp. It's a million times better than stock.

I was using poweramp too but it doesnt support theme anymore and i dont like how it looks , the stock music player looks beautiful, simple and minimalistic in its latest version and i think it just needed to use the viper audio as engine...as far as i konow there is something to do with audio.conf....maybe delete some script there or remplacing will force it to always use Viper as sound engine

Best music player???

I want to know what is the best type of music player available on android..im have problems with the stock player on HTC aria
emo's have my heart and i have their razors

MIUI Player
Works with many formats and has lyrics capability.
Works with all of my songs.
Be sure to get a newer version though if you want to filter folders!!!!
You'll have to flash it or just use a file manager like Root Explorer, or if you're cheap like me, Ghost Commander.
1. Download it and put it on your sd card where you can find it.
--4 Methods to install it--
2. Take the apk and put in /system/apps
3. Or flash the zip file, but that never works for me, for some it works
4. OR, use a zip signer like ZipSigner2 and sign the zip and install it normally.
5. OR!!! Push it using ADB, can't tell you how since I've never done it.
Thanks dudes
emo's have my heart and i have their razors
3 cubed is decent...
I use winamp , rules!
I use TuneWiki for playing music and still kinda addicted to the plain-jane Video Player for video.
Not sure if it's restricted to Captivate, but the MIUI music player is outstanding.
Power AMP
I think that Power AMP is the best
yeap you could try PowerAMP i know it's trial but you could try get it using applanet...
Ditto +1 for Power Amp, it's a nice player and works pretty good.
It has some nice presets and graphic equaliser options, works well with my Jabra BT3030 headset.
I will do just that thanks

PowerAmp is definitely the best, and i hope you remove those instructions quickly as this is forbidden on xda and not fair for PA's dev.
for me DoubleTwist is the best because its also aviable as a computerprogram and with it i can transfer my itunes library to android
also you can sync your music via wifi with an expensive -.- addon
and you can sync your music from android to a xbox360 or ps3
is there a VLC version for Android?????
PlayerPro is the best. Better than PowerAmp in my opinion.

Apollo Music Player

The CM default music player used to be in the play store, but has since been removed. I'm not running CM but another AOSP Rom so I don't have it installed.
I've searched all over, and maybe it's right in front of me, but could anyone direct me to were I could download it?

here you go.
Thanks
even though I paid for poweramp, I use apollo. Less battery drain and still doesn't restart an mp3 after a reboot or even booting into recovery.

I agree with apollo being a good music player. I on the other hand tend to go for lesser known apps like Music Player Remix.

Google Play Music has no equalizer

I installed the Xloud+Beats+DSP manager mod but I was not satisfied with the sound quality. So I uninstalled DSP manager using root explorer but doing so also wiped the equalizer settings in google play music. I did a factory reset but no avail. I uninstalled google play music and then re-installed but still no result. I don't know what else to do now. Any help would be really appreciated.

I'm pretty sure you can find the DSP Manager apk and install it. Otherwise, how about a third-party equalizer app? I use Equalizer with Google Play Music. It's great because it automatically changes the settings according to the type of music playing.
Try out Viper4Android. Installing and uninstalling is easy as it installs as an apk. It'll auto install or uninstall the driver and after you reboot it's good to go. There are a lot of settings to play with but it's more than worth it. I have used almost every single eq on PlayStore as well as AC!D, Beats, Sony, DSP Manager, PowerAmp, WinAmp, Nozzy Player and IMO none of them comes close to what can be achieved with Viper. PM me if you like some settings to try out.

Thanks for the reply but I solved the problem by flashing the stock ROM for 4.4.2

Problems with audio playback

Hello,
I'm getting odd problems with audio playback on my OPO. Whether it be using audio through es file manager or play music. Sometimes the music cuts out midway through a song for no reason. Can only get it working be reopening the app and trying again. Anyone else?
No problems and haven't heard of anybody else having this problem.
Try another media player or a media file?

Its with most audio files so all mp3s I try it usually happens. I'm only using play music and es file music don't really wanna use poweramp or others as don't really like the way it looks ahwell I guess might flash a custom ROM soon anyway and I'll give it all a go on one I prefer.
I use poweramp and it works great, there are skins as well. Shuttle+ is another great music app, there's a free version available as well.

factory music player install

I have an MTCD-KSP unit.
I was wondering if there is a way to install a better music player (factory app). and how do you install these? are they compatible between manufacturers (jy, ksp etc)?
Power amp jet audio take a lot of resources.. I need a better default music app that can support reading song name from idv3 and not the filename-
I have been asking the same question for a while, so far no luck

use root explorer to go to /system/apps and find a folder called MTCMusic (or somwthing like that) open it you will find a file called MTCMusic4.apk. back it up and delete it and replace it with the new MTCMusic4.apk
Just rename poweramp, or jet player?

you can not replace the factory music player with jetaudio/power amp..
you install these and use them like ordinary android players..
My advise was to replace the factory music player with moded or music players from other ROMs (still factory players)
Hello, I would use only default poweramp ... Is it possible? If yes, how ? For example I listen to music with poweramp and the next day when I start the car poweramp does not start automatically and with the last music I was listening to? Please help

Where do I get compatible music players for the other ROM? Do I need to load, root and extract each, or are they downloading somewhere. Does one read MP3 tags for song titles instead of names?

first of all post the system information of your device, so people can advise you of what is actually compatible with your devise.
Malaysk's ROM is very good and includes many stuff and many radio and audio mods. AS LONG AS IT IS COMPATIBLE
