Apollo Music Player - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

The CM default music player used to be in the play store, but has since been removed. I'm not running CM but another AOSP Rom so I don't have it installed.
I've searched all over, and maybe it's right in front of me, but could anyone direct me to were I could download it?

here you go.

Thanks

even though I paid for poweramp, I use apollo. Less battery drain and still doesn't restart an mp3 after a reboot or even booting into recovery.

I agree with apollo being a good music player. I on the other hand tend to go for lesser known apps like Music Player Remix.

Actually it also works with google play music, i think it depends on the app not dsp.

I disagree - in CM10 nightlies, up to M1 I think, it worked in ANY audio output - now it only works in the two you mentioned (I'm on 10 stable now).
Hi, did you manage to find a fix? I have the same problem with CM10.1 and CM10 with Galaxy Nexus. I tried to flash every DSP Manager flashable zip available and DSP Manager still doesn't work on any other app than Apollo!
I tried Neutron Music Player, PowerAmp, and MX Player--no effect whatsoever from DSP Manager.
I tried to uninstall Apollo via Titanium Backup and convert JetAudio as a system app, but JetAudio just crashes.

Sound lag

So I'm running dirty unicorns with the bub a kernel, and I have experienced this on other cm10.1 ROMs, I'm just wondering if anyone else notices this, but when im playing music and tap on apps or the app launcher my music stops for a quick second and returns. Very annoying for those who listen to music while doing other stuff

Yeah, CyanogenMod 10.1 is buggy as hell, but 10 was much much worse for heavy music listeners. It started playing itself, repeating songs when you skip a track, and often refused to play songs. So don't go backwards, you'll be far worse off.

OK I was afraid it was just me.

Use a player like PlayerPro + DSP Pack or Poweramp. They have their own audio decoding libraries, so they don't use the inbuilt Android audio decoder. As a result you experience no issues when playing music. I use PlayerPro & DSP Pack which also seems to use less battery than the inbuilt decoder even with LPA mode.
I always used Google Play Music when I had cyanogenmod. Apollo is a pile of ****e. Google Play Music made it slightly betterm but neither of them have anything on HTC's music player, that is the best by far.

Yeah f**k Apollo, check out PlayerPro, there's a 14 day trial. Make sure you get the DSP Pack also. Functionality wise I think it blows every other player away, and you could probably skin it to look like the Sense player too. But with 100x more features.

[Q] music player and sound quality on a stock JB

Brothers! Hola!
Right now im using stock ROM. And have a terrible sound, a lot of bass, sometimes laggs and "scratches" during listening music, phone become unresponsive for a moment.
I've changed Google Play Music app to Apollo CM player. Now it's ok in case of stability. But settings of the played music (Equalizer) makes me cry and my ears bleeding.
What you can recommend, maybe another player app?
Thanks for your attention

Just browse. Upon purchasing my phone, I immediately rooted and the such and downloaded a third-party equalizer. I uninstalled the stock one and replaced it with the equalizer of my choosing.
The new Play Music app is kinda unstable, but I use it all the same. I suggest keeping Apollo and trying out a couple of equalizers.
Love Apollo. Great app. Themable too

I love PowerAmp (built in EQ) but since I signed up for the Play Music subscription, I've been relegated to the Play Music app. I'm on CM 10.1 now and it's nice to have system wide DSP.

Apollo Music Player?

Does anyone have the apk for it that has been tested to work with 4.4? And with apollo player having flac playback, is it native? Or is it like google play music in which it just down samples it to 320kbps upon playing?

Download any cyanogenmod build for any xHDPI device and extract the apk from system/app inside the ZIP for it.
Then remove the zip because it is obsolete.

Care to link us to it please? I know you may not be able to post links yet, but you could try splitting like this:

Sure thing! h ttps://f-droid.org/
For those that have it, have you tested flacs on it? Do they play natively with no down sampling? This is my biggest concern; there just doesn't seem to be any elegant solution for playing flacs right now. Poweramp and winamp are clunky and heavy to say the least, and andLess is so bare bones and lacks a lot of features compared to Apollo.

Apollo latest version
http://sonyandroid.altervista.org/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=527
I've been using Apollo on my N7 and S2, tried it on my N5 and decided to go with Shuttle music player instead. Virtually the same thing, plays back my FLACs, has HD album cover, etc and equalizer setting

Thanks for directing my towards Shuttle. It has all I was looking for in a music player. I encourage everybody to try it.
It handles 4.4.1 without a problem on my Nexus 5. Widget background colour and transparency are customisable, buttons can be dark or light to fit your wallpaper. There are themes and lots of settings. Even though free version is all I need I'm going to buy Shuttle+ as a token of my appreciation to developers hard work.

Problems with audio playback

Hello,
I'm getting odd problems with audio playback on my OPO. Whether it be using audio through es file manager or play music. Sometimes the music cuts out midway through a song for no reason. Can only get it working be reopening the app and trying again. Anyone else?
No problems and haven't heard of anybody else having this problem.
Try another media player or a media file?

Its with most audio files so all mp3s I try it usually happens. I'm only using play music and es file music don't really wanna use poweramp or others as don't really like the way it looks ahwell I guess might flash a custom ROM soon anyway and I'll give it all a go on one I prefer.
I use poweramp and it works great, there are skins as well. Shuttle+ is another great music app, there's a free version available as well.
